I just found your videos. I am 71 yrs old and I am having the best time working put with you. I do 45 min of walking videos each morning and 1 upper body video 3 nights a week. As a retired occupational therapist who worked with the elderly I wish I had these resources years ago.
Welcome to my channel, Patti! I loved reading that you're an OT and would have liked to have had these as a resource. I work as a Recreation Therapist full-time and work with lots of OT's at work (I'm currently on a one year LOA but back to work in 6 weeks time). Thank you for letting me know that you're enjoying the variety of workouts. I hope you continue to enjoy them! Just so you know, I also have a website (www.improvedhealthforseniors.com) where you can find all of my videos. And, I recently launched a second channel dedicated to chair workouts. Hopefully you can still share the channels with other OT's still in the job. www.youtube.com/@ImprovedHealthChairWorkouts
We went waaaaay back into the vault for this one this morning. Wow, what a workout. I had to do some modifying, for sure, but got in a good, sweaty workout!
Another one that snuck past me. Found it by searching for one of your 30 minute walks, and voila! Fun working out to your "old" music: it was all new again!
Good morning Jules...today is Sunday and it's supposed to be my rest day . But, not after I discovered this video, I break my schedule. Initially, I thought it was just light and easy, sort of just snacking.Boy, how wrong can my judgement be. To me it's as good as whole body workouts, and I'm sweating. So it's seems that today is not a lazy and laid back Sunday. But, not complaining, no regrets. It's a great workouts and I'm pleased with myself that I did complete the entire workouts with a smile. Keep up the good works Jules. Hopefully you will have a great day today as much as I do, more so after completing the workouts., signed off for now...
Thanks Nik! I’m glad to hear you got a good workout! I am looking forward to gardening and hopping on my bike today to enjoy the sun and moderate temperature here today….and planning my next upload!
this video really helps me! i’m not a beginner but when i’m on my period i have severe cramps but recently i found out that the cramps get slightly better when i move my body. when the moves are still too painful i will just walk in place, but most of the exercises really help!
Thanks for subscribing! I’m so glad that you are modifying the moves when you need to. That’s perfect. I also create gentle workouts which would be easier on your back. I’ll let you be the judge of that:) www.improvedhealthforseniors.com
Ty Jules!😊Loved this workout; trying to keep my sciatic pain at bay. 30-minute low impact exercises help me keep my glucose where it needs to be, blood pressure too, and my sciatic pain doesn't flare up. Blessings always.♥️
There was no possibility of a walkabout this morning...torrential rains (coming from yet another hurricane out there in the Gulf!) are keeping me inside. So, I found this one to fill my 30-minute slot! I ratcheted up a few segments by adding above-shoulder arm lifts, and I double-stepped a couple of times...so this was a perfect rainy morning workout!
Thanks so much. Had not worked out in 2 days so this workout was great to get back. Now I can get into a more strenuous workout. I love that I worked my whole body.
A good movement workout after one of your combos yesterday. I held 1kg weights for five minutes (then my arms were weary), so I got in 3212 steps at a slower pace during that time. Thank you for helping me stay flexible and active. In my mid-70s and I appreciate your beginner/senior videos.
You are amazing and your workouts are fun to do. My wife and I do them together and we just have a great time. We appreciate the total workout timer, each individual exercise timer and your fun, uplifting messages. Best part, there is no endless chatting and we can have fun exercising and follow you😃. Best wishes.
Aww, thank you so much, Josef. I'm very happy to read that you and your wife work out together. It's a great way to stay motivated. Thanks so much for taking the time to comment and thank you for your kind words. ❤️
Hi Jules! It's been a crazy busy week & it took me a half hour to start exercising today so I picked an older one that I haven't done before. It was just right for me today. After it was finished I did a really good stretch, so I'm happy. So glad you have such good choices, so thank you!
I'm 100 kg and my height is 150 cm yes I'm super obese but today is my first day I'll update here everyday so that I will exercise daily to achieve a normal weight which is 50 kg for a 150 cm lady ❤ 1st day feel so great 💖
I've got a huge smile on my face reading your comment because I am super excited to have you here. I LOVE that you are making a commitment to exercise daily. The daily commitment is what will eventually make exercise a habit and eventually you'll wonder how you ever lived without exercise. Congrats for starting, and I look forward to reading about your daily progress. On days when you don't want to work out, remember why you started and how great you're going to feel as time goes on. 💪
Hi from Indianapolis, IN...just found your channel. Getting older and arthritis is creeping in due to my prior dancing career. Was looking for walking routines TO MUSIC (a must to keep me motivated). lol For those days when the weather is bad and my muscles need a rest from weights. So glad to have found you...30 mins is perfect! Best wishes and keep up the great work! 🙂
Thanks for letting me know that you're new here! Just so you know, I create gentle, beginner and intermediate level workouts (both seated and standing). I categorize the workouts in the playlists and also on my website (www.improvedhealthforseniors.com). Hopefully that will help you to find the workouts that suit your fitness level best. Welcome to my channel! I hope you enjoy more of the workouts as you try them out.
First time trying this particular workout (though have done a few others by same presenter). Found this one difficult and couldn't manage to finish due to becoming very fatigued (after completing to just over half way). However will try again soon. On a general note, I do like the different workouts you do. They're straightforward and easily followable, though from a visual perspective, my preference would be for a plain background for greater ease of viewing your moves, but I do understand that the backgrounds add another dimension to the creative presentation. Thank you.
Hi! I've actually been thinking about the backgrounds lately and have been thinking about getting rid of them. I'm undecided as I have other people who say they enjoy them. Thank you for the feedback since it's always good to know what viewers prefer. If you found this workout challenging, you can go to the playlists and click on the 'gentle' or 'beginner' workouts and try some different ones there. I hope that helps!
@@ImprovedHealth Thank you. I did one of your chair routines this morning, completed it OK, and feel the benefit. I think I just need to pace things and not be overly ambitious. Thank you again for your programmes.
@@pmeturton6417 I think that's a great idea. Start slow for now and move up as you feel ready to prevent any injuries, and also so you feel you've accomplished and completed a workout:)
Thought I would pick cardio before I try the 2 new strength ones. This was soooo good. Lots squats and lunges so here's hoping I manage the leg strength one. I'm planning doing both new ones as I was a little piggy at weekend lol x
This is a good beginner workout for your upper arms. It will help to tone your arms and shoulders and give you some physical exercise and strength for your overall well being!!
This should be called “30 Minute Side Step Workout.” Unfortunately, very little walking. My hips can’t handle so many side steps. Wish you would do one with actual walking, please. ❤
Thank you for your feedback. Each workout is different and in my newer workouts the movements are more varied. Since everyone is very different, my suggestion is if you want more walking, walk at times during the workout instead of following each movement. For example, follow along for two sets of movements, then walk and then follow along again. If your hips bother you, you might prefer my 'gentle' workouts which you can find under the gentle level playlists. I hope that helps.
This would be great without the lunges and squats. Need something just with steps please. Have arthritic back and hips. RSI in elbows. Can you suggest another walk please?
Since I've created so many videos, I have a hard time remembering what is in each one. But, most of the beginner level workouts are without squats and lunges. I do have some that I have put 'no squats' in the titles. My suggestion is when squats come up, do a step touch or forward tap instead. Sorry I can't be of more help, Stephanie, in terms of specific workouts.
Hi, I put in the total amount of steps and the computer divides the steps into the workout time. The computer doesn’t know when I am walking faster or slower which is why it appears to be off. The final step count is accurate, though. I hope that helps to understand the way it works.
You spoiled me for 60's music. Since you don't talk and you said to play your own music I do that. I am ad free on youtube, so I run two windows, yours I watch and the other one I play 60's music.
I am so glad to read that you are doing that...music motivates us so it's best to play your favourite music that makes you move. I find music makes such a difference. I would love to play oldies all the time for my videos since I know that is what seniors want but it's complicated with YT. So, thank you for still working out with me yet choosing the music that works for you:)
This 71 year old girl and her 75 year old guy LOVE your speechless workouts. Helps my gut too. THX! WOOHOO!
...and I love your comment!

I agree. Exercise definitely helps during that time of the month.
Thanks for the upbeat workout easy to follow yet effective
I made it through, barely. some moves I had to modify with my back pain. Thank you! I will subscribe.
