    I am new to 3D printing and was looking for a project where I could become familiar with Tinkercad for designing custom objects. I found your video and it was just the thing I was looking for. I followed your video and ended up with a flawless sliding lid box and now feel much more comfortable with Tinkercad. Thank you for your wonderful video.

    Thank you. I have zero experience when it comes to 3D printing, I always told my son what I wanted, and he would print it. I needed a box for my oscilating blades. With your tutorial, I was able to design and print a functional box.

    what a great video and library service. You explained this perfectly and covered some pretty interesting beginner topic. Thanks for sharing. This was my first box !

    Perfect this is exactly what I want to make. Now I just need to figure out the size of the box I'm going to need. I'm making domininoes and I wanted to make a box for them. Thanks this should help me make the box.

    Thank you for a detailed look and instructions on using this software to build a sliding lid box. One thing you did automatically, but didn't say it, was to ensure that the text on the side of the box was placed below the lid dado on the inside. While you didn't embed the text too much, if it was embedded in line with the dado then you may end up with a single layer of material between the lid dado and the text instead of the 2.5 mm you had to start with. Again, a very nice video.

    You don’t need the ruler to enter dimensions. Just click on the white or black rectangles, when the body is selected, and double click the dimensions shown. You can change them now by typing.

      That's true about not needing the ruler. But now that I see someone using it that way, it seems a little easier.

      @@bradnelson3595how? using the ruler for this project is completely pointless, and actually confuses things.

    I never did understand the ruler. Why did you bring up the ruler to size everything? I just dragged the box and set the dimensions. Cool Video. Thanks

    • @patrickbroadhead1982
      @patrickbroadhead1982 8 месяцев назад +1

      The reason he brought up the ruler is because it keeps the measurements visible on the active model. I never use it either.

    Very good video. My problem is how to print this, because Will need many supports

    • @claymore2k1T10
      @claymore2k1T10 Месяц назад

      Why would it need any supports, just print it with the back panel onto the print plate.
