As a B8 owner who has changed every exhaust part and had multiple set up’s to achieve the right sound, I LOVE how good the B9’s sound with just a downpipe. Absolutely no need for anything aftermarket imo. Sounds amazing

The best! I got a Redstar catless DP paired with front resonator deletes and it sounds great with my Pure 750!

You kept the large resonator like the back one? Does that eliminate the drone?
Stock downpipe on these sounds so weird imo. To me they sound like an a4, but catless sounds so proper.
which downpipe should I go with since carbnlabs is closed down?
The pops are cool isn’t a overkill like other cars I’m such a fan of no drone but being catless does it smell inside the car heavy at a stop
Smell isn’t bad at all. You can smell it a bit when you pack and get out but not just normal driving
@@KevG thanks wasn’t to big on dropping over 2 stack for an exhaust set up might just get the catted one due to the smell and just rock out with this set up cool vid 👍🏽
@@RoadBlockNYC heck yeah it's honestly the perfect setup. I do really like the AWE exhaust but for a daily setup this is great.

Interesting... I've replaced midpipes with IE midpipes and it sounds about the same as your donwpipe. Not quite sure how
How is this and CTS over a $1000 less than 034's? None will pass emissions and all seem to have the same build and performance in America. Just wondering. I'd buy it today.
It’s a quality product. I was surprised at price too. I did research and saw people running this downpipe with upgraded turbos and whatnot so it’s reliable! Most downpipes for this platform are doing the same thing, so it’s really just how much profit these companies want to make. Hope that’s helpful!
We have been selling this product for many years with very good feedback and we have not increased the price since 2018. I can't speak about the markup of other brands but here at Carbnlab Motorsports we are not into the price gouging game.
Also, we will have a catted version available in the next weeks, which we have been testing since fall last year with very good results in terms of CEL occurances. The catted version will sell for around 1k

All from the top? How did you get the springs from the back? And specific tools?
034 stage 2 software? I have the same dp and took it off because 034 stage 2 still set a engine light on mine. Threw codes for downstream o2. I bought an ECS downpipe before they stopped offering theirs too. Hope that car got an alignment. That steering wheel when driving, wow.
Yep stage 2 never had issues with CEL. And yep, alignment was the week after. Did lowering springs, wheels, tires all within a week so got it all dialed in shortly after 🤝🏼
Is it true that when at red light or just standing idle the smell from the exhaust is nasty and comes into the cabin....has this happened to you since you installed this part?
@@crunch3rRUclips nope, you can smell a bit from the rear but in the cabin it’s fine. Windows down at idle maybe a bit but nothing bad. Hope that’s helpful!

Honestly not really. I like the front end on the 19 a lot. Found the perfect one for me so I pulled the trigger on it!

IE downpipe with JHM catback single exit. Had it on my b8.5 A4, it sounds absolutely sick. Nice deep rumble and loud when you get boogie!

Yes just downpipe, rest of exhaust is stock

Hey Kev I have a catless downpipe with no tune, do you think this is bad for the car long term? I think the most I would go is stage 1 but that still has a CEL
i think if you have no cat on a stock tune that would introduce overboost because the turbo has less resistance but it isnt mapped to account for this
With emissions are people just swapping the stocker back on/ switching toons?
I guess it depends! Michigan doesn’t have emission testing
What made you go catless over catted?
Any catted downpipe for these cars is $1500+
We will have a catted version available soon which will sell for around 1k which we have been testing for many months
