Heyy I got myself a 2018 A5 b9 coupe, was wondering where you got the spoiler (as only specified as “other cosmetics”) and if it would be compatible with my car?
You don’t upgrade the piston when your hpfp is going out. The internals are the issue. Replace the hpfp with a brand new one and while you’re doing that upgrade to the 034 piston.
Have you guys dug into a 4.0T yet? If not I have my daily driven C7 S7 prestige that is currently stage 1 ecu / tcu tune. In all seriousness, I just came across your channel and so far loving the videos. looking forward to more content from you.
@Need4Built , I'm thinking of installing a carbon fiber hood on my A4, and I've noticed many suppliers recommend moving away from the gas hood struts as they're too strong for the carbon fiber hood. I didn't notice you guys replacing the gas struts in this video so would you say its okay to run gas struts with the carbon hood? I ask this because I cant find any (less forceful) replacement struts for my car. Thanks in advance :)
How is the car idling after installing the HPFP piston upgrade? I did the same mod on mine and noticed that idling after a cold start is much more rough than stock… not sure if it’s the piston upgrade or new spark plugs
Idled just like stock. It’s very possible it could be a few things. Possibly attributed to the fact that you worked on the car, and your brain is tricking you now to think something is wrong. It happens to everyone including me even being a somewhat experienced audi mechanic. I’m sure everything is perfectly fine if you’re running the correct file!
What. My 034 mounts have lasted me 40k miles and they’re still on my B9 and I’m Pushing over double the factory HP. every 034 mounts I’ve installed has never ever failed.
Ran out of time to do some 91 vs. e85 testing on stage 2+ but maybe we’ll do that in part 2 😀 if that ever happens. I’ll do my best going forward to provide the results!
Being currently tuned by EPL, I’d love to have your page treat my 90k higher mileage daily 18 S4 to a hybrid turbo/tune performance makeover. Do you guys ever come out to CT?

For the rear spring installation, is there a reason you guys didn’t just remove the outer control arm bolt and nut? Then lower the arm and spring down with a jack. That way you don’t mess with the eccentric alignment bolt and throw off the alignment. Genuinely wondering fellas
Good question. Yeah that would’ve worked to be honest but the alignment was already going to need to be done either way so Evan (the owner) figured it would be easier for us to do it the way we did. Not much of an explanation, but hope that helps.
Yes we did. I should’ve included the shots of us lifting the suspension with a jack and torquing but decided to leave it out. There’s still a few shots where you can see a jack lifting the suspension
No just the stage 2+ 91 file. Ran out of time for E85 comparison but Evan later on told me it was a noticeable torque difference and increase on the butt dyno
Would you consider the b9 platform reliable? Specifically looking into 2019+ s5. Plan on doing basic bolts ons and ethanol mix. You should transform it like this one 😅 im from the pmw as well.
Very nice , the b9 is a really good engine to tune but it’s no much for the king bmws B58 ,I’d still take it any day over the b9. Regardless, beautiful car enjoy it.

@@tonyd9 yup that’s the point of going with this option. It’s a two piece turbo inlet. To increase the diameter on the turbo to match a larger turbo inlet, you just change the adapter that is provided for whichever larger turbo you go for without having to buy a new turbo inlet. I can simply go from the stock turbo (46mm inlet) to the tte810 (66mm inlet) simply by changing the 20$ adapter that’s already built into this inlet.
Interesting, so it’s like a step-up flange on the end of this pipe? I’m not sure it will make a difference, because the whole pipe gets narrower (the inner diameter and only the very end larger
They aren’t issues. People love to misinterpret. There are certain problems with certain engines but the B8/B9 generations are nearly bulletproof. BUT ever 50-75k miles there is maintenance that needs to happen to keep the engine/transmission running for 150k+ and up. Examples: pcv, water pump, thermostat, transmission service. Engine Oil changes every 4-5k miles. Do that alone, these newer Audi’s will last a long time without ever leaving you stranded.
Ahahah I’m not sure why! I think it was a combination of the extremely bright garage lighting, weird camera settings and yellow headlamps didn’t help. I’ve been working on adjusting my camera and color grading to try and fix footage like that.
