Finally got my first watch a few weeks ago - went with the Tissot Gentleman Powermatic 80 - couldn't be happier! I love this thing and it looks great in my business casual workplace, along with casual get-togethers with friends. I feel naked without it on me anymore.
I saw an earlier video of yours Teddy about the Alpinist (I believe it was the SPB119). After watching that, I bought one straight away. I rotate it with my Apple Watch depending if I need quick access to my notifications. Everyone says it’s a great casual/dress watch, but I’m a hiker and camper and find the rotating inner bezel very practical. As a outdoorsman I am prepared for the worst case scenario and my SPB121 is part of my survival kit. I am also a teacher, so for formal occasions it also suits me as a sporty dress watch. It’s definitely a niche watch but it suits me perfectly. My wrist is also impossibly thin and this fits it just, so that’s another win for me. Keep up the awesome work and I look forward to my next watch purchase as recommended by you. From Far North Queensland, Australia. Mark.

VHP - awesome mention, quality history! Sharp Edge - they did really awesome design, even too good and that's why they put a stand under the logo and an ugly lume to make it less awesome. I'd take a mix of diver and GMT in the presence of Lorier Hyperion and go to a good party for the rest of the money ;)

You seem to have a good deal of knowledge on Tissot (as evidenced in your recent videos). Any talks of a smaller Gentleman in a more traditional size? I think it would be an absolute hit and they’ve done it with the PRX and Seastar.
Technically, a smaller Gentleman already exists in the T-My Lady. Unfortunately, at 30mm, I'm pretty sure it's not what you're after. Also, unfortunately, as they have already introduced the T-My Lady, we're unlikely to get a 35-36mm version of the Gentleman because Tissot generally considers the smaller version the "Ladies version" (see the PRX, PR100, Seastar 1000, etc), and I don't think we're going to see a "Ladies Gentleman". Speaking of the PR100, if you want a smaller Gentleman see if you can find a PR100 Powermatic 80. While it's only 1mm smaller at 39mm, it has much smaller lugs and wears more like 38mm (whereas the Gentleman wears like 41mm).
Longines VHP was a good shout. It's a shame they discontinued it. It's worth a mention that they also made a 36mm version. You can still find them if you shop around.
My favorites in the $300 to $700 range: Citizen Tsuyosa Bulova moon watch (43mm) Hamilton Khaki Field That Jorg Gray watch that Obama wore all the time, it was a chrono with the black dial with white stitching
Great video Teddy. Love the price points around a grand. So many great models for those that do not want to wear the $5k watches. I would have added TAG, gray market price. 1K.

Loved both GMT's, Doxa and Mido divers (plus some other great divers!). With the amazing abundance of watch brands (including dozens of very nice German watches - and the list goes on) - you had a hard task in front of you with this one. On that note, I wonder whether it would be an idea to start looking a little more outside the square at some of the many brands that rarely seem to rate a mention - not because of the quality etc, rather a lack of marketing or how they may sell directly only.
Teddy - thanks, I am hooked - bought 4 watches over the weekend & a Hamilton is under the tree!!! We also have a diamond studded womens watch from probably the 40's that is still in the family. Q: Can you get that plum faced Anordain?
