i dont think people realize just how hard it is to be black in america lead alone anywhere and i know you'll get some hate but just know i thank you for being one of the ones who spoke up instead of choked up
Thank you for your powerful words. I'm an elementary principal in Oakland and one of my 5th grade students recited your words today at our annual Oratorical Fest in honor of Dr. King. He was on fire with passion and won the school competition to move on to the regional finals. Your work inspired him and he inspired all of us! God Bless You! Keep writing, speaking and inspiring!
Thank you so much! I'm genuinely glad to be making a difference, and especially influencing those younger than me. Be sure to tell your student to keep aspiring to be great, and they have my full support!
tallkekepink95 not just black people, its all people of color that gets treated like shit by white people. you should watch this video, its really good. Dear Young Man of Color || Spoken Word - RUclips
Wow, this pulled my heart strings. I am not from America but often hear about racial profiling and for you to paint a picture of what it looks like to be 'black in America' through spoken word was awesome and we'll presented! I loved how you finished it, you are a leader!
This was very eloquently spoken! I love how you made it clear that it's not by all but by some that these acts are done by. May God continue to bless and strengthen you as you journey through this life to your destiny.
This is amazing. I'm doing an online radio show tonight speaking on white privilege, police brutality and the tensions we are all tired of having to explain. I would like to ask permission to play this on the show, and in essence keep it in rotation. It starts at 8pm tonight, and I'd love for you to listen, but also give that platform for others to hear your words because they are important. My name is Adelle Broom (Mixed Karma) and the show is on Nexus City Radio. Mixlr.com/nexuscityradio Stay safe out there.
I rather be successful in America than stay in poverty with riches money and power than being broke in poverty u are a big target once you stay in poverty
I am a professor of educational leadership...I would like to dialogue with you about your spoken word. My interest is in the way that spoken word poetry can serve as an authentic catalyst for democracy and social justice in our schools. If you would be interested please let me know.
you make valid points but you cant tell me in most situations people mouth off weather black or white to police. no life is perfect all lives have hardships. its up to you to change how people see yourself. you dont have to follow steroro types. i not saying you dint have a hard life but consider we all go trough basically the same socail perssures in school. you dont think white people dont get sterotyped. it might not carry the same connation but its their. yes you are atomatcally judged we all are. but dont play into making these idoeligys selfenifacing. at base we are all human and human lifes are to be pefect. humans will always have horrbile things happen in our lives.
I love You, King!!!!!!
