South India was the capital of Spices in the world for 1000s of years.

If 80% of customers were Indians, then they definitely made food according to Indian spicy level 😅
Indian spices are not about chillies only.
Btw I think that Biryani was hyderabadi biryani...the spiciest version. You could have just mix yoghurt with it, to balance the spiciness.
Keep a cooling drink like lassi, or soda. It cools down the stomach if the food is spicy.
That's why in Indian course meal, sweets are eaten always at the end. Because again, it cools down our stomach 😅

    Just some corrections,
-> Those are not sauces with Idli, those are dips. you were trying to touch the sauce with Idli and eat it which is wrong way, You need to dip the Idli in sambhar to get the authentic taste.
-> We dont eat the biryani like this, if the biryani rice is spicy, we pour some spoons of raita (yogurt) to sooth the spiciness.
-> Also the round crisp thing you got with biryani is the side-dish that you could break down and sprinkle on the biryani to give it a crunchy texture.

The Idli concept has gone from India to China ,when chinese scholars came to south India over thousand years before. Indian taste buds are one of the most developed in terms of differentiating tastes . So if the dessert (type of Cottage cheese) tasted like Idli than the taste buds need more practice to differentiate the two. Continu exploring and try not to stereotype spicy with India ,if it was not worth labeling it as spicy. Anyways there 8 different kinds of biriyanis from 8 different regions of India ,depends from which regions recepy they have used ,as some biriyanis are not spicy .

    • @saurabhade1079
      @saurabhade1079 Год назад

There is no concept of idly in China almost anywhere. BTW these poor girls selected menu on recommendations of ignorant / jingoistic viewers which is worse among it. I checked the menu of this hotel, I find almost everything from starter to desert that's tolerable and most likely likable to these girls. Alas nobody guided them properly. I am commenting this on my experience from friend sister in law who is Korean - Chinese heritage. Many of Chinese specially from middle and south may like particular Indian food like tanduri chicken and other but not all specially extreme taste one, in particular spicy. In short, its informed and non jingoistic viewers responsibility to counter uninformed / jingoistic viewers to guide other people properly to have good experience and not allow stereotype Indian food as spicy, given Indian food is so vast even harly any Indian also know about it completely.

Next time always order a lassi alongside when you feel there is so much spicy or ask them to give you a simple coconut milk juice. Which will be super white liquid and you can pour it on any dish which is too spicy and it instantly cuts the spice levels to 3 or 0. So you can use it like dipping coconut milk sauce kind and eat with more tasteful and happy🙂 It's a South Indian trick to cut the spice level. Lassi is for North Indian way to cut spice levels. Coconut milk is more South Indian style. Even in South we have Lassi kind but its different like that raita.

Least spicy food?😂😂 South India is most spiciest food than north. Yeah we have milder version as well as some mild food items doesn't mean we have less spicy 😂. Our vegetarian option less spicy but non vegetarian foods are way too spicy. That's why you can see briyani is super spicy than dosa or idli. You need to try non veg option then speak which is most spiciest one.

Miss Lily, Don't just go by comments and response in selection of food videos. Have some informed person as adviser in the friend circle. Most of South Indian food may give satisfaction of adventure people and people in nearby part of India apart from Afrika. Its kind of like Cantonese food with niche appeal. Its not widely popularised North Indian Punjabi food which normal people in west in people can eat, like popular Chinese General Tso, Kung Bao Chicken. If you have consulted non jingoistic but informed Indian in this case, he would have suggested you Onion Tomato Uttapam, Idly, Upama with coconut chutney apart from pongal if its available and shira as desert, which would have high percentage of good experience for you two as well as viewers

Whenever you order Indian food look for dishes with 'Sahi', 'Makhani', 'Kurma' like Sahi Paneee, Sahi Murg Biriyani, Chicken Kurma, Chiken Makhani; they are non spicy. And next time try Pulao (Navaratna, Kashmiri, Veg) with curry (Malai kofta, Navaratna kurma, Sahi chiken curry, sahi paneer)

Dude it's 'Shahi' and not 'Sahi'.
Moreover they went to try South Indian cuisine. You are suggesting North Indian dishes when their objective was to try south Indian food. 😢

Next time while trying any Indian food please take an Indian born person with you, not an immigrant person please. He might be able to direct you the right way of ordering the food and eating it.

All good. But seeing them eat Masala dosa and Idli with spoon is offending me slightly, as a South Indian. 😅
Indian food tastes better when eaten with hands.

With this you indirectly add more fuel to hatred coming from nation like south korea towards Indians apart from being bizzare.

That's mostly from only Sichuan province, one of thirty Chinese province. Many Indians have little knowledge about China, just as many western foreigners about India

what kind of waitress she is, she can't even tell how to eat biryani with yogurt and papad. btw Biryani is not south indian. Yogurt has to be with Biryani to negate spicyness and papad u can eat with the rice but not with yogurt
