As an Indian I'm really having a hard time wrapping my head around the prices!! I understand the dollar-rupee dance...but these prices are really insane!!
Have not had Indian food in soooo long. When I lived in CA, I used to go to an Indian Buffet that was reasonably priced. The tikka masala looked good and all the different types of naan looked excellent. Love, love samosas. Gulab Jamun! I don't remember it having a strong ginger flavor, but those were on the buffet, and I loved those too. I don't care for rosewater, floral stuff so I'll skip that other dessert. Another great find. Thank you everyone that recommended this place.
I watched coutnless videos of people eating indian food but you guys are almost like real food reviewers. I'm sure people who want to try got a good understanding of the flavours and what to expect from your amazing video
The Tandoori Roti is definitely a healthier option than the naan. Its good to see that you started with the breads first before they become cold & rubbery.
Amanda & Felix...Love Indian food and eager to try this place. What a spread you both had. I have not visited Cafe Maharani in a while and use to visit the now closed Cafe Taj Mahal in Kaimuki. Samosa's, mmmmm I can eat 5 lol! Fresh Naan, yum, does not get better than that in an Indian Restaurant. Wow & that Chicken Malai Tikka looked so good in fact the plate looked like a sizzling Kabob. Very flavorful & good eating here for sure...Mahalo for sharing you too!
Thanks for taking us on the Adventure!!! Good to know Indian food is being offered in Oahu. Change of pace from the "local" fare. BTW, you two look very lean!!!
Wow! Legit Indian food available on Oahu at a restaurant! Sounds like a real nice selection and all legit!! I can’t wait to try that place! Mahalo!! Great job!!!
Happy Monday Foodie Ohana! Indian Food it is today. The mango lassi looked so ono. I’ve never been to an Indian restaurant. It looks pretty good, and I trust your taste palette. I might have to try it. Thank you for starting my week off right! Love you Foodie Ohana. 🤙🏽❤️🇮🇳🔥🍗🫓🌴
Good one guys! Been binging your adventures. Amanda, love you explaining to tourist how our flavors are different. Felix, you keep it real. Unlike other vids by Mark Wiens or Mikey Chen, you actually critique the food making your vids useful.
Yay, I was hoping you would review an Indian food place one day! Lots of that looked yummy, so I will definitely be checking it out. (Doesn't look like they have outdoor eating, so will probably do a take-out.) Funnily enough, the best Indian food I ever had was in Japan! We were trying out different onsens, and found an outdoor one which had an amazing Indian restaurant right next to it. Was the perfect kind of food to eat after a long hot soak on a snowy winter day. 🥰
Aloha Amanda & Felix. I love Indian food, especially their desserts and mango lassi!!! Do you have South Indian food restaurant out there in Oahu? It's different from Northern Indian food and most of the time it's vegetarian, delicious!!!
Hey guys I’ve been MIA I hope you’re both doing well.I love Indian cuisine, it’s one of my top favourites. Never tried food from Nepal before, I’d love to though. Everything looked amazing 😍
Is that the old Choi's Family Restaurant? Nice to know there's another Indian place. The one I usually go to is near University....Cafe Maharani. I know there are others, but a new one is always welcome, and the food looks great! I like lassi, too! Do you think the brown chutney was tamarind?
I keep passing this place. I'm going to try! Thanks for sharing. I love Indian flavors. Kailua has India Cafe. There's no dine in so your dining room will be Kailua beach! Order ahead. Always a line.
There is a great restaurant near where I live run by Fiji Indians. It's not too dissimilar to other local Indian restaurants but has an emphasis on fish curry, as you might expect from a Pacific island.
I love Indian food. Before the pandemic, the Indian buffets would always have the gulab jamun. They also had kheer. I don't know if it was acceptable or not, but I would alway put the two together because the gulab jamun was too sweet by itself. But together with the kheer, that rice pudding made is oh so ono! BTW, if there is a Pakistani restaurant on Oahu, but you should try it. Though it's basically the same food, I think the Pakistani food tastes better. Maybe because it's a little spicier. Mahalo for another great video!
Indian food is Spicier than Pakistani. Only for foreigners palate spicy level is reduced in foreign land. If you take indian spicy then you would never touch it again.
Not here in the Concord, CA and the surrounding areas. The Indian food around here is very mild. Even when I've had Indian food outside of this area, it has never been very spicy at all. Good, but not spicy. @@santhoshv3028
instead of naan or tandoori roti ... try tawa roti that is what indian have. . on daily bases... as well as took a small part dip in vegetable properly then eat it

Hi! I like your video. But, just FYI, it’s not pronounced toormeric. The first part of the word is pronounced more like in the word “turn”. Also, the word lassi is pronounced “luh-ssi”, not laasi..
No wonder those prices almost gave me a heart attack for that $6 samosa you could get 2 full plate biryani or a family biryani which could make 4 people hit full in their tank
This is not a real roti at all, roti is not made in tandoor it is made on tava or pan, it is very easy to make and simple and soft in texture, Roti is a staple food in north india naan is only for restaurants

We go to Cafe Maharani sometimes too! 🤙🏻 yes, I think that’s the old Chois Family!
For samosas I normally have mint cilantro chutney and a tamarind based chutney ❤️
Love samosas!
Amanda I remember that Indian food truck at UH. The Naan bread was so good!
It was right?! 🤤
Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of the warm gulab jamun. It elevates the taste.

For $6.95, i could eat one samosa/day for the next 100 days in India.
Wow great commentary while eating food btw. And man your voice is so manly haha.

In India you would get your complete food order what you have showed on table for two in approximately 15$ total.
As you grow old you surely will graduate into dal makhni ..
And methi dishes ..
And no chicken
it takes time..to reach there
Guy said at 13:52 , it comes with exactly two balls , interesting 😂😂 ,
Im like : u get two samosa wrapped in newspaper for less than 50 cents in India.. 😂
You guys are pro ....I wonder why they didn't offer you daal ... But that was perfect.... I hope you liked the food.... Thanks for trying Indian
Tandoori fish is amazing
As an Indian this is the closest looking Indian food on a foreign land..Like you would get something close to this in India but a bit more spicy ..
compared to other countries Indian food is very expensive in Hawaii 😅
i like indian foods
Rice is there to eat and plates are there to put your gravy
Samosa in India 20 cent. mango lassi half dollar.. chicken tikka masala 5 to 10 dollar ..naan half dollar
This kind of food is not eaten at home often... We eat Dal chawal and with one sabji on a regular basis......
Mahalo for the insight! 🤙
Its not ginger , its cardamom in the dessert
Mahalo for clarifying! 🤙
9:08 I think thats called KULCHA
Not used ginger in gulab jamun. It is pistachio and cardamom on top
Howzit guys!
Mahalo for watching this one🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
With the price of samosa there ... at least 100 samosas could be purchased in India at some places.... The prices are insanely marked.
U have to taste gulab jamon and ice cream together
Guys every white hard ball isn’t cheese 😂
In India same meal less then $20
instead of naan or tandoori roti ... try tawa roti that is what indian have. . on daily bases... as well as took a small part dip in vegetable properly then eat it
Ayoo , i thought he's jaby for a second!!
Roti is much healthier then the naan as the roti is made up of whole wheat flour as against the naan which is made of all purpose flour.
$7 for 2 samosa? 😮I'm having samosa while watching this video - I had 4 samosa for $0.50 😅
Are you Jaby koay brother🤨🤔
looks like Nepali guys have started this restaurant, I hear all nepali songs in the background.
