Truly fantastic work! In an age of "Tactical" blades, going back to our roots of working with natural materials on tools is more refreshing than ever.
Thank you for posting this video. I think this is a phenomenal rework of a classic pocket knife. Your skills and imagination leave me in awe.

very nice, You are clever boy
très beau ce Laguiopinel ;)
Nice project. But you left out what I thought would be the hardest part... how did you get the blind slot for the blade to recess into... What tool?
As seen from minute 5:29, I used the blade of an iron hacksaw, the one you see on the table. I broke it so that it had a tip, I closed the horn in a vice and then .... it took a lot of patience. I am sorry, like a fool I forgot to film that moment.
Amazing work! How did you cut the slot in the handle where the blade goes in?

Stupendo, se li realizzasse su commissione sarei il primo a mettermi in fila. Bel video.
Gute Arbeit!
I really like what you have done there but can't help wonder how much of the strong part of the antler you had to remove to make it fit the original ferrules? Perhaps it might snap at that joint in the future?
Well... I hope it will not...
@@Uncle-Bob I'm probably wrong, there's maybe plenty of strength in the centre part of the antler too. Anyway, it looks like a beautiful knife and you did a brilliant job there!
I love the handle its got a sub from me
I want one! How much?

Where did you get the end cap? Did you machine it? I’m looking to find an end cap for a knife I am making.
Well... that's a simple button made of metal, I bought it in a haberdashery.
You can see it better in this video : ruclips.net/video/tWHCnkmmqo8/видео.html at minute 6.40
👍
How was the blade slot cut? There is no mention of this - the hardest step. At 5:25 the slot is being drawn in pencil and at 5:29 slot is magically there. Did I miss something?
You are right. Like a fool I forgot to film that moment. As seen from minute 5:29, I used the blade of an iron hacksaw, the one you see on the table. I broke it so that it had a tip, I closed the horn in a vice and then .... it took a lot of patience.
Uncle bob. make one deer handle
Ciao Bel video e bell'idea..
++
