Hopefully you noticed the actor playing Patsi is the same actor that played his twin brother (Spoons). Clever way of bringing back an actor. Patsi is a very important character in the overall picture.
I don't think it's clever, it's close to as lame as using amnesia as a plot point. BUT you can get away with it once, and they did on the Sopranos, it didn't feel strange. Especially since spoons wasn't in the show much, and Patsy became a mainstay after this.
"Parabolics" refers to microphones with parabolic reflectors on them to listen from a distance. They use them a lot at sports events to listen to sounds on the field. It looks like a little satellite dish antenna.
Yes Manhattan is constant noise / sirens and so forth. I lived in Manhattan as a small child (age 4 to 6) and when we moved to the suburbs it took me weeks to get to sleep with the silence - it was too weird to me because I was so used to the sirens, ConEd doing overnight jackhammering, etc. As the son of an FBI Special Agent - those are the FBI / the feds bugging the Soprano basement - not the police. Federal court warrant, not state. Etc. Sorry, counselor, I too have a law degree and am persnickety about such things! The mob is just part of life in some areas. They’re not as strong as they were but they’re still around. Growing up in the 80s we had a guy at the end of my suburban Long Island block that was with the Bonanno family. My high school friend’s uncle was an attorney connected to the Gambinos. It was just part of life. Our neighbors were in the mob; my dad’s last assignment in the Bureau was Organized Crime in the NY Field Office. It is a small world despite the large population in the NY metro.
The music mixing at the beginning of the episode was awesome with a Henry Mancini tune for the Mob and for the Feds side of things was mixed in with "Every Step You Take by The POLICE. ♥️💯👍
Paulie's line about being able to eat walnut maple ice cream off the toilets in the ladies' room is one of my favorite quotables. Paulie has more than his share of those.
back in the day law enforcement used analog radios so you could receive stakeout coms on your police scanner,. For a radio hobbyist or criminals it could be very interesting and also why they had to use code names while communicating. Nowadays pretty much all police coms use digital spread spectrum with scrambling so it's pretty much impossible to decipher those signals.
They were calling them code names for their police radio communication thus calling each of Tony's family members Bing-this and Bing-that because Tony's strip club is called Bada Bing. You forgot the character Gigi killed Patsy's twin brother Spoons at about 13 through 14 minutes into season 2 episode 1 after getting picked up at the airport. And calling Tony's home "sausage factory" was in reference to Satriales Pork Store, their other hangout.
Mary : "I'm sorry but he clearly has never been to a women's restroom because some of them are absolutely disgusting" Every reaction I've ever watched of this episode where the reactor or one of the reactors were women, they've made almost the exact same comment. What the hell is going on in womens restrooms? (...as you can imagine, I'm a dude,... who like Paulie was always of the impression that women's restrooms were always impeccably clean. Maybe it's because society's norms and conditioning usually sees women (at least in the home) always be the ones insisting on cleanliness while the men are the slobs)
Wire taps interesting, I know with John Gotti he had a social club, they had it bugged, but didn’t hear anything, he was going upstairs to an elderly ladies apartment when she went out, cops found out and bugged that apartment and got tons of conversations
I subbed to her patreon. She funny

I can’t be the only one who finds it impossible to believe, that Tony wouldn’t have an alarm system on his house?????😮😂😂😂😂
Not sure who does your Edits, but I've always thought you have the funniest edits on RUclips. :D

In high school i worked in a descent restaurant, not upscale, but descent. The women’s restrooms were far far worse to clean than the men’s.
enjoyed your reaction 👍☺
7:57 was literally eating one while watching this 😂😂
Glad you are enjoying this as much as I did. I hope you continue to even if it gets sad later

Patsy Parisi peeing in the pool wasn't cinematic.
I used to be a janitor. Women's bathrooms are WAY dirtier
Kkurwa this my best episode.
