This is the 25 year anniversary of the Sopranos. I assume that's why it's been on tiktok/social media more. HBO has had a few marathons of it recently.
The idea for the music this episode came from Chase's wife, I believe. Otherwise, it's usually Chase, working with his producer and music editor, with occasional assist from Silvio's actor (Steve Van Zandt, who is a musician) who pick out the music. David Chase actually only directs two episodes - the pilot and the series finale - but he's very involved with the show still.
As creator and showrunner, Chase picked all the music for the series, working with his producer and music editor, with the occasional assist from Van Zandt.
Your channel's analysis of Sopranos is always interesting and on point, so I appreciate that you guys take that time to discuss what's going on, even if that means we only get one episode a week instead of two. Keep up the great work, see you next Tuesday!
The reason that ''The Sopranos'' is recently so topical, because its 25th anniversary (when it first aired). Btw, talkin' 'bout the dream sequences (which are the highlights of this show) that influenced other shows or movies, there's a dream sequence in final season (no spoilers), that was actually inspired by ''Papillon'' with Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman (1973), one of the greatest the prison/adventure movies ever made. Highly recommended!
I'm sure there was a targeted social media campaign for the show 1 or 2 years before the movie came out. Suddenly I started getting a lot of content based on the show on all kinds of platforms, twitter pages, youtube videos, just out of the blue. Since then the show had a revival and gained many younger fans including myself :D
And now the show picks up and starts running! Love your guys reactions.. I hate to be annoying but don’t forget next episode !! Mirrors !! All of the mirrors, keep those eyes peeled
The show is 25 years old and people treat a lot of major story beats like common knowledge, unfortunately. It's good ya'll are a trio so even if one gets spoiled we still get the genuine reaction from the other two.
@@redox.cinema Yep, and Sting has actually expressed how wrong it is for couples to use it for their wedding dances as it often happens. 😄 "It's often and incorrectly thought to be a love song. It's about the sadness and jealousy of breaking up a relationship. The lyrics are about an unhealthy and obsessive stalking."
You'll watch the Sopranos but you'll rewatch it many many many times. Not sure if you watched Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul but they both need to be watched for real. Its some of the best Tv shows that have ever been made and that's not my opinion alone because if you notice the reviews are all rated in the top and all 3 shows have been awarded best shows ever to exist many times
IT'S TONY TUESDAY!!! SEASON 3 HERE. WE. GOOOO!
favourite type of tuesday

Gigi, the guy who killed Philly, was part of Junior's crew. That's why he trusted him. But he defected to Tony's crew after the hit.
Got it, thank you!
Pine barrens is usually considered the best but it's debatable
pedantic, but I would say Pine Barrens many considered a favorite episode. But I think many also have it high on best list as well.
Pine Barrens is the best for comedy and a chill episode. But for a serious episode plot wise, I love the Blue Comet.

Best season and arguably one of the best episodes (one of my personal favorite eps anyway)
Mr. Ruggerio's Neighborhood is a play on the kids TV show Mr. Rogers Neighborhood
And… you start one of my favorite seasons of TV….

not a bad idea to do once a week that's technically how it was made to be seen at the time
I’m Ready for Season 3 Reaction Boyz🙌🙌🙌
"I need to hear you say it"
The episode's title (and line from Agent Harris) is also a pun on "Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood" [dad joke emoji]
Figured that was it haha

Makes tons of sense! Still wild to see how widely it’s being celebrated
Every Step You Take is a stalker song, in case you didn't know.
Makes sense based on the lyrics lol

The Spy Episode
The bear?
The bear will be returning this week! We filmed our reaction last weekend. We are so sorry for the delay.
