He did it the easy way. Doing it on a new character with no upgrades, no level ups, there isn't even a useable gun available. You're essentially limited to wet noodle slaps with the saw spear and anything else you pick up along the way.
It amazes me how you could be this good at the game and read and answer, that the same time. I can't even talk to my girlfriend and play Phoenix rising at the same time

Doing it first playthrough is absolutely brutal. One of the hardest challenge runs that isn't a hitless run. Wet Nurse and Rom on a +0 weapon are incredibly tedious and very easy to run out of healing if you don't play super safe. It turns beast blood pellets from an instant easy mode into a literal requirement, which is terrifying.

Holy cow. This is amazing to me. I started Bloodborne just this past November when I got a PS5 (yeah, got super luck with the pre-order and I'm still shocked about it). I thought I was feeling good about myself for beating the Cleric Beast on my 4th attempt, but this sort of speedrun puts that to shame. I'm still slowly working my way toward Gascoigne. I actually had to restart the game 3 times. I tried my first two runs with the threaded cane and much as I love the speed of it, it just wasn't helping me clear that first main street area. The 3rd start I picked the saw cleaver and it's working much better for me. I'm hoping I can at least make it to Gascoigne today, but we'll see. I sometimes get a bit overwhelmed with the game to the point that I need regular breaks from it once I've made it through a difficult area. I've seen other streams of it so I know the various locations, so it's amusing to me to see someone just speed through those same areas by taking very shortcuts with jumping/falling and such.
I love a bunch of weapons in bloodborne, specially the Reiter, but I have to confess that compared to the Saw Cleaver most weapons are pretty average if not a nerf to yourself, the L1 of the cleaver staggers like a charged R2 and hits like one, being just a couple of frames slower than just spamming R1. Nasty and broken af

@@aurumarma5711 Honest mistake man, sorry it cost you the run. I guess that is why you see Zeus and others use the buffs before the cutscenes. I also figured out (I think) why Zeus uses the papers before the beast pellets, when I started using buffs myself. It's easier to realise you are running out of them; your paper runs out which is quite apparent, so you know the pellet will too soon. Doing a buff and a bit long after doing the other, also gives you sustained damage while you get ready to have the buff that ran out.
Bloodborne is pretty much a timeless game IMO but I always wish it had as many weapons and armours as the souls games. Great vids like this refresh my view on how repayable Bloodborne is.
In all honesty I think it would add a little more fun but mainly I think it would take away from the story in a way imo. I think the limited weapons shows that there weren't that many hunters and when they were doing their thing at the beginning when the weapons were developed by the different factions of hunters they were mainly doing by cover of night so not having that many weapon out there that were all tricked out to hunt beast would be counter intuitive to what they were trying to accomplish i think in a way too tho. Just an opinion but maybe a mode that you could unlock after defeating all bosses or something that would unlock weapons from other souls games or something just to try and use them against the bosses or even a few more developed weapons for the game itself having trick modes and such. I would also like to say that I just found these games this last year and I can honestly say I've never had a series of games captivate me the way they have they have quickly junked to my whole top fav 5 list of video games of all time and i will forever be a fan now. Funny enough it all started with elden ring for me 650 hours down and I went and started playing all the others souls games simultaneously lmao it really is a timeless masterpiece and so far it is my favorite of all souls games because of the over all horror tone to it and the classic souls formula taking it to the heights of something a video game in my opinion before I found them particularly could ever do for me boy was I wrong in every way I'm so thankful for my buddy showing me the soulsborne life. does anything interesting happen if you collect the max amount of insight? like when you use all the madman's knowledge skulls you can possibly find, defeat all the bosses on all NG+ levels, basically do what you can and don't spend even a single one.. any changes compared to having let's say 50/100 insight? also, saw cleaver all the way
Hey Zeus….I think I found another way for the doll to be sleeping and the house on fire…(not in a cut scene though) and I may be being very dumb with this…but I just bought a ps4 from a friend a few months ago and first played bloodborne right away afterwards…but anyways I beat the main game bosses, didn’t kill gehrman yet, and started playing the dlc …I’m at the orphan of kos right now and every time I go to hunters dream the doll is asleep with the house burning…idk if I’m just being dumb or if it’s really not supposed to do that?

You can play Bloodborne on repeat and do it over and over again from New Game to New Game +6. After that you can carry on playing, but the enemies don't gain more health or do more damage.
It's not something they "coded in." The cinematics just take what's happening in the game and make it look cinematic. They didn't code in all the different possibilities of weapons and outfit combinations, for instance. It just takes your character's current outfit/weapon that you're wearing and using and puts it in the cinematic. If any of that makes sense! :D

I think the video is on his Twitch channel, not on RUclips. And that information refers to the the Living Failures fight, not the Celestial Emissary. You can potentially kill the Celestial Emissary in phase one, with a visceral, reason why you can get a "small" overkill multiplier with that fight. Nets you something like 12 Million blood echoes at NG +6. I don't think you can visceral it in phase two.
Would this run be easier or harder on a fresh file as opposed to NG+? Enemies would be weaker but you wouldn’t be able to benefit from any runes, gems, upgrade your weapons, or level up at all.
In general, it has the highest dps, it's serrated so it staggers beasts like crazy and the beast meter goes up a lot with the r1 l1 l1 combo, faster than any other weapon. It's also the most spammable weapon that you can buff in the game. If you could buff the blades of mercy they likely would have been the best weapon
I can list 2 weapons that are better than the saw cleaver, HMS and Ludwigs holy blade, but I think that’s just my play style because I also pickup hunters axe instead of saw cleaver to be a beyblade
Is there a specific area your targeting bosses to stagger them or visceral them (I think visceral as the riposte, not the stagger attack) or is it just by doing a certain amount of dmg?
One of Bloodborne's hidden mechanics is the limb breaking system. If you hit the arms and legs of certain bosses, they will stagger. That's what happens on the Vicar Amelia fight. Zeus came up with this strategy on his speedrunning days, so that even a New Game character can stagger lock Amelia, by breaking its limbs.
Yup, he streams standing. Human beings weren't made to sit down for long periods of time. It gives you musculoskeletal problems, keeps you from breathing properly and is bad for blood circulation.

This is the best possible run, regardless of ending, because the Doll can't be evil while she's asleep.

does anything interesting happen if you collect the max amount of insight? like when you use all the madman's knowledge skulls you can possibly find, defeat all the bosses on all NG+ levels, basically do what you can and don't spend even a single one.. any changes compared to having let's say 50/100 insight? also, saw cleaver all the way

Hey Zeus….I think I found another way for the doll to be sleeping and the house on fire…(not in a cut scene though) and I may be being very dumb with this…but I just bought a ps4 from a friend a few months ago and first played bloodborne right away afterwards…but anyways I beat the main game bosses, didn’t kill gehrman yet, and started playing the dlc …I’m at the orphan of kos right now and every time I go to hunters dream the doll is asleep with the house burning…idk if I’m just being dumb or if it’s really not supposed to do that?
I was here thinking “There’s no way he did a No Hunter’s Dream run in under an hour, something must’ve happened.” Then I notice the Max NG! Part and the Max-leveled character. XD

Are you saying most people don’t use the elevator that takes you to the teleportation bath to get to the One Reborn? I thought that was the main way. The direct way is an obvious gank which always dictated to me as the wrong way to go

Took me a couple attempts. Weirdly it was when I was focused on dying and only there to figure out it’s moves and got it down to full health then went full out

i saw another guy try "no lamp no death" on new game and was wondering if you'd be able to do it. it would probably look similar to his though because you'd have the same limited items and equipment
He’s done it on NG many, many times, yes. Usually grabs the Saw Spear from the sewers and does the run with that. Fun stuff!
How do you just get a new run, but with all the blood echoes and upgrades from previous runs? Can you load up the same character in the game?
You can play Bloodborne on repeat and do it over and over again from New Game to New Game +6. After that you can carry on playing, but the enemies don't gain more health or do more damage.

He makes this look so easy. Even with +10 weapons and 99 stats, this game is extremely difficult.

It's not something they "coded in." The cinematics just take what's happening in the game and make it look cinematic. They didn't code in all the different possibilities of weapons and outfit combinations, for instance. It just takes your character's current outfit/weapon that you're wearing and using and puts it in the cinematic. If any of that makes sense! :D
@@MitchP1983_ The way the cinematics get rendered is something they did code in though. Just saying the way they coded the cinematics leads to nice little touches like this :)

I think the video is on his Twitch channel, not on RUclips. And that information refers to the the Living Failures fight, not the Celestial Emissary. You can potentially kill the Celestial Emissary in phase one, with a visceral, reason why you can get a "small" overkill multiplier with that fight. Nets you something like 12 Million blood echoes at NG +6. I don't think you can visceral it in phase two.
Would this run be easier or harder on a fresh file as opposed to NG+? Enemies would be weaker but you wouldn’t be able to benefit from any runes, gems, upgrade your weapons, or level up at all.

Damn is the sawclever the best weapon in the endgame or something you been tiring those bosses to shreds.
In general, it has the highest dps, it's serrated so it staggers beasts like crazy and the beast meter goes up a lot with the r1 l1 l1 combo, faster than any other weapon. It's also the most spammable weapon that you can buff in the game. If you could buff the blades of mercy they likely would have been the best weapon
I can list 2 weapons that are better than the saw cleaver, HMS and Ludwigs holy blade, but I think that’s just my play style because I also pickup hunters axe instead of saw cleaver to be a beyblade
Is there a specific area your targeting bosses to stagger them or visceral them (I think visceral as the riposte, not the stagger attack) or is it just by doing a certain amount of dmg?
One of Bloodborne's hidden mechanics is the limb breaking system. If you hit the arms and legs of certain bosses, they will stagger. That's what happens on the Vicar Amelia fight. Zeus came up with this strategy on his speedrunning days, so that even a New Game character can stagger lock Amelia, by breaking its limbs.
And he beat the game in 35 minutes
