I just beat the DLC today! After 7 years of a break. Brador, that Hunter you fought, was using a Lead Elixir. It's similar to an item from the other Souls games where you're super tanky and weapons bounce off of you. It's the best defense around overwhelming opponents like the 3 Yhar'Gul Hunters.
You can stand in the open water, the fight area isnt just the small beach, the arena is actually pretty big. It may help you to get out there into some space.
The Rune that allows you to regain health on a Visceral is very useful against him, try charged backstabs when you get a good dodge in or when he leaps over you. The overhead slam and his charge are quite well parriable although the timing is a little finnicky and takes time to get used to. Orphan is a rather punishing boss and you need to force your openings against him, generally some bolt paper is also pretty useful against him, good luck, he is difficult but intensly rewarding to beat, you got this!
The best rune for this boss is just beast claw mark one two and three, you don’t need anything else for him, those sweet 4-5k viscerals are just unbeatable.
@@Yousifzzz they help a lot but it assumes you are able to parry and dodge him with a level of consistency few people can, and gets more difficult in the second phase. Trying to boost up on other stuff is worthwhile imo but if you're very good by all rights go for it
Parrying and knowing when to use charge attacks. That's the secret to beating the Orphan, which I learned after being stuck on it for a week. Was never too hard on any replay after that.
I recommend Bolt Paper for Orphan. Also I need to know if you are on New Game Plus. I know Bloodborne immeadately restarts as soon as you beat Moon Presence. So if you are on NG+ Orphan is actually like 10x harder. For context NG+ regular beginning enemies can take multiple hits from a Plus 10 weapon and not die. Like they survive unless you do a full combo. So Orphan is even worse than he is usually on NG+.
From what I can tell the biggest problem is that you are way too aggressive! You need to respect him. Try to keep a bit of distance between you and Orphan and let him come to you. Also learn his parry windows, this way you can pretty much trivialize his first phase. In the second phase you absolutely cannot stick close to him or else he will wreck you. It's best to avoid parrying, his hitboxes are pretty wonky lol. Good luck!
Funny story: I stuck to the Orphan like a limpet the entire time and managed to beat him first try on another save. It’s especially helpful for when he jump attacks, because then you can backstab.
beat him second try by sticking close to him and dodging to his left on the second phase for quick or transformation attack(for that nice rally), just gotta be mindfull which combo he is doing. The parrying is hard in the first phase and suicidal in the second. For some attacks coming from right to left either dodge back to his left or towards his right

@@Junaed6666 yeah this works except when it doesn't, 3rd swing you can just run towards her and she will miss, also roll away from her two times after that to make her miss, problem is when she just follows up some combo with waterflowl when you least expect, greatshield and block works tho.

Nah it’s more fun and more satisfying to watch a man suffer, and that final kill will be like 10x better trust, I was underprepared as hell too, shit turned my blood into dopamine.
The transformed one is far far far too slow for orphan of kos, the saw spear is a complete counter to orphan so he already is in the best case scenario.
@@Yousifzzz its too slow only in the second phase and even then only after some attacks, first phase its the best attack cos you can rally almost all your hp back if he nicks you, also you can just r1 and dodge if he starts a combo.

I think you are a bit underleveled for this fight. I beat this eniter game last week for the fifth time and I was doing 350 damage per hit on Orphan (at just level 89 on ng0 while you are on ng+ as well). Have you upgraded your weapon fully to +10 and selected your best blood gems? Becuase I can't imagine your damage being only 150 per hit if you are fully upgraded.
I was using Burial Blade +10 without beastblood pellets, chalice dungeon bloodgems or fire / bolt paper (since you can't infuse it). I was at 40 skl and 9 arcane
Hey, bruv. I thought I was the only one that got stuck with bosses for days, haha. How much time did it take for you to beat him? For me, it was eight days of trying over and over, trying different weapons, leveling up, finding items and trying new tácticas until he finally went down.
Too much dodging backwards. He is designed to follow like a predator. You have to sidestep his attacks and get behind him. When I beat him I charge attacked his back for a visceral whenever he was standing still, and that was quite effective. Also, use trick weapon attacks.
Don´t attack him by urself. Always punish his attacks. If u prefer dodging over parrying -> mostly a forward left diagonal dodge does it Best attack to punish is his jump
Parrying Orphan is not my preferred as, IMO its better to go for backstabs after his leaps for getting the visceral rather than parry, as you have a single frame to get the parry off without taking damge, or 1/30th of a second assuming we are getting constant frames. Ymfah explained this in his bl4 run guide, and even though floverse isn't bl4, his health is low enough that he shouldn't waste time with it. If he misses with a backstab during a leap attacks recovery frame, then worst case he misses and can roll a away. Miss with a parry and it's potentially a dirtnap.

BL 98 on NG+
Hunters Axe +10
You need to go in the water, away from Mother Kos's body. That's where he calls the lightning from.
This is hands down the best boss fight that fromsoft has made 😊
I joined the party late playing bloodbourne back in 2020, even after all this time I consider it one of the best games I've ever played. Need to do another playthrough
you gotta get hip to R1 and L1 attacks, it’s a transformation attack.. way better. especially w the saw spear
The rally potential is a nice bonus makes it easy to get hp back at least in the first phase.
This boss took me 4 hours to beat the first time
After a year I came back and got him on my 2nd attempt and 4th attempt on NG+
Gotta spam the charge attack on his back
Took me 4 months on my first time. 8 hours every day
@@uncleol sheesh, you're a legend
Charge attack on his back is so effective I basically consider it cheesing in this fight. He's way too weak to it: I consider it an oversight by the developers.
First time I fought Orphan was in NG+ because I bought the DLC after beating the main game. It took me 100 attempts
This is NG+ as well, I also had the same problem, I did not know beating the game three you into NG+ instantly.
Parry and when he jumps at you and you dodge forward you can power attack him behind and get another party attack
0:01 Ophan of Koz Raging Demon.
"i paid for this game, when is it gonna be my turn to play it" sent me
This is my favorite boss fight in the entire Souls series.
What am i stanfong on what is that thing
Orphan: my mother
No idea why but I had more of a problem with Laurence than I did Kos or Ludwig
Hardest boss in any souls game . Took me ages but was very fkn rewarding man
Upgrade your weapon. At the desk behind where Gehrman sits against the wall.
The Orphan adopted you and he is your daddy.
Do people forget that they can repair their weapons so they do max damage? The damage on the saw spear can be so much higher than that
Slayer of gods vs aggressive newborn
Well tbf it is a gods new born
this boss made me question my existence
You need to get more prepared for this. This is when you will need max level weapons / 70+ level / all your bolt or fire papers
Nah it’s more fun and more satisfying to watch a man suffer, and that final kill will be like 10x better trust, I was underprepared as hell too, shit turned my blood into dopamine.
@@Yousifzzz Agree, that's the best case scenario, but I'm afraid he will drop the game entirely 😂
R1R1R1R1R1R1R1R1R1R1R1
I am in awe of your skill, sir
you seemed to forgot you can do heavy attacks, use your gun, and transform your weapon 😭
The guy just got born to beating you up with his mother orgins 😂
Good vedio man
He is a baby.
I like how he never transforms his weapon or tries another one
he has but his build is never ready for em
The transformed one is far far far too slow for orphan of kos, the saw spear is a complete counter to orphan so he already is in the best case scenario.
@@Yousifzzz its too slow only in the second phase and even then only after some attacks, first phase its the best attack cos you can rally almost all your hp back if he nicks you, also you can just r1 and dodge if he starts a combo.
Really enjoyed the playthrough, very nice 👌
When i got to the orphan, he was just so crazy i logged out after 10 attempts. Resigned myself to the fact that i didn't need to beat him. It was optional. I didn't need the trophy **sniff**
Next morning, second attempt i got him. I Screamed fueled with adrenaline and woke my husband up from a dead sleep scaring the shit out of him thinking something was wrong and i was hurt. The hand tremors at the end are wonderful as well as the delirious giggling like an idiot. Your time will come.
This mf Orphan took me like 4 to 6 hrs to beat.
17:30 Floverse unlocks UI
I think you are a bit underleveled for this fight. I beat this eniter game last week for the fifth time and I was doing 350 damage per hit on Orphan (at just level 89 on ng0 while you are on ng+ as well). Have you upgraded your weapon fully to +10 and selected your best blood gems? Becuase I can't imagine your damage being only 150 per hit if you are fully upgraded.
I was using Burial Blade +10 without beastblood pellets, chalice dungeon bloodgems or fire / bolt paper (since you can't infuse it). I was at 40 skl and 9 arcane
For me 10 Ludwig holy blade 421 damage per hit level 90
@@KillBuster99dude those chalice blood gems give like 25% extra damage each, you’re just over leveled lol.
Hey, bruv. I thought I was the only one that got stuck with bosses for days, haha. How much time did it take for you to beat him? For me, it was eight days of trying over and over, trying different weapons, leveling up, finding items and trying new tácticas until he finally went down.
at this point I was so farmed up I did it in the 1st try. I mean, farmed up. chalice dungeon glitch farmed up.
Pretty much matches my experience. Took me weeks. But you can do it!
Bro you should level up
first upgrade your weapon then farm 21% or 20% gems from Winter Lantern in dlc area then it's easy.
You ate a lot of placenta there.
The only way I beat him was by parrying and hitting him while he's in a loop
If you're good at parrying he is cake, same with Maria
He is easy if you roll enough
Too much dodging backwards. He is designed to follow like a predator. You have to sidestep his attacks and get behind him. When I beat him I charge attacked his back for a visceral whenever he was standing still, and that was quite effective. Also, use trick weapon attacks.
Don´t attack him by urself. Always punish his attacks. If u prefer dodging over parrying -> mostly a forward left diagonal dodge does it
Best attack to punish is his jump
Only boss i never beat. Have up after 18 tries. Which was twice as many attempts as any other boys in the game. The difficulty spike here is insane.
Unlock for 2nd phase, as the roll dodge is better for getting underneath all the slams.
I did that but then I started locking on again to parry in second phase and I beat him easy then.
Maybe farm a level or two. Make sure you are fighting him with an upgraded weapon. Bolt Paper is also good against him
Fear the old blood
