The Abhorrent beast is actually not a chalice dungeon exclusive! You can fight him in the game outside of chalice dungeons, by attacking an old NPC on top of the windmill in Forbidden woods!

I watched the Jedi survivor series’s and now hes making want to play bloodborne
I played it all last December it's a experience you wanna enjoy
I didn't think you'd go in the chalice so I didn't consider you'd fight any of these bosses. Abhorrent Beast is just insane, but he's only a pit stop on the way to the Bloodletting Beast, that one will make you quit playing the dungeons 😅
Really? I beat him first try along with abhorrent beast first try they aren’t that hard in my opinion
@@TosherHaney-i5j It depends on your level and how good your weapon is. If you are over level with really good gems, you can survive them. But if you go in at a lower level(non end game build) and don't have the best gems, they will destroy you. Especially for players not prepared.
I wish so often that I could play this game for the first time again, but the closest I get is living vicariously through other people meeting Bloodborne. Thank you for sharing your experience with this game.

This game had me consulting spreadsheets and tripling how much time I played once I discovered chalice dungeons. Bloodtinge and obscure poison builds > meaningful relationships and enough sleep any day

STOP omg your fight with Abhorrant Beast is literally stunlocking me in laughter, im dying i cant breathe ive been laughing for like 3 minutes straight, i literally had to pause the video hahhaha
Here's a small tip, but its probably too late for it. Dont always stay locked on to the enemy, your dodge changes depending if you are locked on or not. When locked on - dodge is a step to the side, but when the camera is free - your dodge is a roll, helped me beat a couple of annoying bosses.

Ive had the same struggle as you, making it unnecessarily hard by going into the dlc underlvl and it was ng+. I got most bosses in 10 to 30 tries but Lawrence had me stuck for 2 weeks. I lvled up and got him on 3 more tries.

Yeah the backstab is a little tricky against something like the Orphan of Kos but, if you can pull it off it does pretty good damage.

Next you need to do a second walkthrough and do all the NPC questline that you miss. To get better understanding what's really happening to the people of Yharnam.
The secret to beating the blood starved beast is 3 words
Pungent blood cocktail
Just throw one at the wall and the beast will be ignoring you and staring at the wall for a few seconds
That's when you do a charged heavy attack, knock him out, and quickly go for the visceral
Do that a few times and he's done
The name " blood STARVED beast" is a huge clue

The endgame chalice dungeons are the hardest content in the game. They half your hp and you are fighting harder versions of bosses from the main game.

I second tried him with the rakuyo, either! I did try to beat him tons of times with the blade of mercy before, though... turns out the problem was the reach
The DLC takes this game to another level. Until Elden Ring, BB was my all-time favorite game.
I think before u get done with this game & move on u should check out depth 5 dungeons, there are some secret new bosses there & the final dungeon has some hidden lore behind it, it'd be a pity to miss it now that u've gone so far in the dungeons.
Anyways it was amazingly fun watching u play through this beautiful game, have fun:)

To be fair, you crossed path with an Abhorrent Beast before. But it was in disguise as the Suspicious Beggar in the Forbidden Woods.
id love to see ds3 next it is incredible but its the last fromsoft game for you that has fast paced combat and exceptionally good bosses, so if you play it next then after it you’ll have nothing but ds1, ds2 and DeS which are a lot slower and more methodical instead of high octane fun so it may be a good idea to save ds3 for the future as a palate cleanser after some of the slower games

You know it was fun to watch this, hope you try Demon's Souls (Ps5 remake or Ps3 it's equal in terms on content) it is the most similar to bloodborne of all From Software products to this day
u really need to do the dark souls series, in order. ds3 has some of the best surprises ever. i feel robbed of those for playing ds3 before ds1, do not make my mistake

Why do so many people neglect to upgrade their gun? I get that they don't have much bloodtinge, but a +6 pistol will still do helpful damage while you're fishing for crits. It's aloso useful for some safe chip damage
In fact, I bought the PS4 2016 to play bloodborne, and I was nit able to finish father gascoine. I tried over and over again. Finally I quited. Then Last year I bought Dark Souls remasterd and I managed to finish Gwyn. Then I tried Bloodborne again, and it Happend: I killed the old father, It took only seven years. I tried over and over again. So you are really fast 😅 😂😂😂

Hot take: Bloodborne and the Dark Souls series is better than Elden Ring by a great margin. Elden Ring just feels hella uninspired compared to those games, I really tried to enjoy it but I am at Mountain Top of Giants and honestly I still don't enjoy it that much. Which I think is sad because I waited for it so long.
