The creators of the game used to work at Cartoon Network and made a Steven Universe game, so this makes sense, haha! It's a great game and I hope you like it too!! :-)

I know it's a bit off topic but as a brown Pacific-islander girl growing up in Europe, I literally teared up seeing the main character. She's brown and has eyes like I do. And my boyfriend looks like the boy. It's like someone made a game just for us to play together and we can see ourselves in it. I can't tell you how happy this makes me feel ❤️

@faisala Hey girl - I’m a Pacific Islander boy too and I appreciate seeing you share your thoughts about diversity in games. I grew up in Hawaii and I have always been a gaming nerd. I just started my journey in this game today and I think it’s wonderful so far.
I just finished this. It was really good and reinforces the idea that we are in an Indie renaissance. The only problem is that they didn’t really give us closure on Wake’s storyline. A two or three minute conclusion would have been an incredible, emotional conclusion.
This gives me Pikmin and Over the Garden Wall vibes, and that thing playing the flute at 0:11 kinda reminds me of Totoro and the monsters from Where the Wild Things Are.

@@Glubus Yeah, I was just thinking that! The lush and gorgeous backgrounds remind me of a Cartoon Saloon movie, like Song of the Sea, Secret of Kells and Wolfwakers, especially Song of the Sea because the protagonists are an older boy and a younger girl.

A child friendly life is strange with cuteness
A game so beautifully created, I can picture myself playing it while snacking on some cheese sticks and drinking coffee. The art style reminds me of the animated film, Song of the Sea. Does anyone know what that style is called or known as? I've been wanting to know for quite some time now. My thanks in advance, and I certainly look forward to playing the game!

this game is an absolutely amazing masterpiece, often i find myself looking for “cosy” games to play and a lot of them repeat or are just, not hitting anymore. this game was a stimulating and well deserved find! 10/10.

Just recently played this game and it's honestly one of my favourite games I've played on Switch... and I've played a lot of them. It's kinda like if Pikmin, Link to the Past and Hollow Knight all had a baby together.

So if I lay this game side by side against Pikmin 3, is it equally as good? Honestly I love the look and it intrigues me in a way that Pikmin never has. Just wondering if it can be an alternative, or if it's a direct downgrade.
I played it on pc! It’s a really beautiful game with amazing music and art. The story is also very sweet and beautiful. It’s astounding for an indie game. Plus it’s much cheaper than Pikmin. However I would say Pikmin 3 is better overall. The game also had a lot of bugs when I played it on pc. I don’t know if they have that fixed for the switch version but go into it expecting a few bugs. It also doesn’t have side modes like Pikmin. Overall I’d highly recommend it if you love Pikmin or have always wanted to try the series without spending too much money.

My fiancé is one of the creators of the game and it's SO nice to hear your review- thank you!!! :-) I know they were working through a lot of bug fixes at the beginning, but I do think they're all worked out now (although I'm no expert, haha!). @Ramón - I hope you enjoy the game if you decide to get it!! :-)
@@oookaylie Your fiance helped make such a wonderful game! Almost everything about the game is awe-inspiring. Although some bugs lessened my experience of the game overall. It is still an amazing masterpiece that others need to enjoy. I'm glad the dev team was able to sort out many of the bugs so that future players will have an even better experience than what they already would've received. Who knows though, I might be biased considering Pikmin is my favorite video game franchise of all time.
