I tried. It just moves the character to the other side of the scene.

Seems more like a puzzle game to me than a create-your-own-adventure game. still looks really neat tho

Yeah the marketing is a little misleading but the trailer is pretty clear once you see it.
This looks like a charming game. Don't mind playing but I hope theres a whimsical sense of limitless possibilities because it can get old pretty fast with limited options.
I think there will be a story mode but also a sandbox mod for making your own stories.

There's a demo of this on Steam right now, it's good fun! And certain stages have a 'Jester Mode' where the stage is given a different title that you have to adjust your answer to fulfill. For example, the stage where the Baron dresses up as a Dragon is changed so that the Dragon has to marry the Queen instead.
Using that stage you can even get the King caged, it's so funny

If there weren't rules, it wouldn't really be a game. Creative writing already exists as it's own thing.
well i mean if in real life you said you were writing a romantic story, but then the story you wrote is just filled with random people fighting in alleys and robbing banks and there wasn't a single bit of romance in it, people would be like "great but where's the romance then??" so it's not that weird

this game looks pretty interesting and unique
I enjoy games like this, but the replay-ability for my attention span probably would be pretty short. I had the same experience with games like Monster Prom. It was fun at first, but I got pretty stale quickly for me. The price point will always be a determining factor for me as well.
I get what you mean. Im also the same. Most probably i will watch some youtuber play if my attention span is damn short.

YOOOO! This game has been in development FOREVER! I remember seeing it as a prototype way back in the day on Northernlion's channel! Super proud of the dev for making it this far.

GREAT trailer! Instead of promising an interesting concept, you actually showed great examples of the concept in play in different stories. I always fear games with new, interesting and infinite paths oversell themselves, but you managed to make a great case of how the gameplay might go 😇⭐

Yes! It's like a mix of choose your adventure and a puzzle, amazing concept. I will absoulety buy this if there are complex levels.
I wish there was a fully customizable game mode: 6+ tiles, all the settings youve unlocked, all the characters you have unlocked… and a namable story line

YES! I remember playing the bare-bones three panel pixel version on his site way way back. I had no idea it was still being developed.

YES! The Miis need used more on Switch. There's Miitopia and I think Smash and Mario Kart and that's it.

So, this game was supposed to release today according to everything I’ve seen. It’s almost 9:00pm where I am and it’s still not available. I was really looking forward to this game. So much so that I’ve become sick with excitement and now I’m worried that it’s not actually coming and is just being quietly swept under the rug. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

It seems a little limiting in creativity, but other than that it seems worth a shot. If it's fairly priced I might give it a shot.

I used to play Daniel Benmergui's games back in the day like 'Today I Die' and 'I Wish I Were the Moon', and they actually have a prototype (?) of this game around 2010! Can't wait to play this full version

It’s appears to be more of a a puzzle game. So the number of stories in it for me will decide how worthwhile it is. Also how complicated they get.

A great learning tool for writers, storytellers, and gamers a like. This looks like a fun little game.

I'm reminded of something that was more like a software toy than a game. It had a series of panels and if you positioned characters to kill each other the panels ahead would replace them with gravestones. It didn't have any goals or objectives. Just sliding the characters around like dolls and seeing the results.
It's the same guy. This is an evolution of that Flash piece. He also made "I Wish I Were The Moon".

Once there was an ugly barnacle. It was so ugly that everyone died. The end!
Reminds me of an old Kongregate game where the mechanics were all very very similar. Only difference was that it was pixelized and you only had 3 characters to work with.
