  • The original Corpse Reviver used cognac, sweet vermouth and Calvados. The sequel that we’re making today is much more popular and in my opinion a better overall drink. Like many drinks, it faded during prohibition and didn’t appear in a book until the 1930 release of Harry Craddock’s The Savoy Cocktail Book which re-introduced dozens of classic drinks that were otherwise forgotten. The book warns that “Four of these taken in swift succession will un-revive the corpse again.”

    0.75oz London dry gin
    0.75oz Lillet Blanc

How many times did you have to say “pre-prohibition cocktails” till you got it right?
