Nice video. I have question for you would the jammer/iso arm fit on your roque rack. Yes I have monster rack.
I like those ISO arms
It's like an even more ghetto coop rack minus the tinfoil archway
@@BasementBrandon I have to disagree. The Coop-squat is way more ghetto cause it actually uses Titan uprights 🤭
Good to see people finally catching on to all the benefits of a half rack, once you transition over there is no going back.
Don't get me wrong I think there is a lot of upside here, but I'm a full rack kinda guy
@@BasementBrandon Swapping out bars is SOOO much better, then no issues with standing military press, and once you get used to the free feeling it's hard to go back to a full rack. Most think a full rack provides more safety, but that's not entirely true....
The monolift 😍 I was skeptical about lever arms but I recently used the ones at my gym with an incline bench to do a chest supported row that felt very similar to a hammer strength machine and now I see the potential.
Im saying man. They need a Campbell spotter deck bench alignment attachment!
I still don't think I would recommend jammers to anyone, but I'm mostly turned off b/c these ones suck to adjust.
Amazing demo of what u can do with this such a good video
Thanks Jason
You really just could get a rack and jammer arms and do dumbell movements with the hammer arms wow
I find it to be a bit awkward doing so since it's a fixed ROM
This is a great idea, thanks for sharing!
You bet!
Is there a more detailed guide to how this was put together anywhere? And do we know how long he ended up keeping it in this configuration?
With the new ares and athena options (as well as dedicated half racks) I'd prob go that route now.
@@BasementBrandon Thank you
Quick follow up (since the Athena/Ares options are too pricy for me) do you happen to remember around how much depth the lat pulldown added to this setup? Thank you
@@TheDamageReport I'm almost 100% sure the attachment extended 27" from the front upright (so around 8" from the rear upright). You then also want to account for plates when loaded
@@BasementBrandon Awesome- thank
i can see i'm way late to be finding this video. i've been designing almost this exact same setup online, so excited to see it will work! question: do you prefer the clear coat or the white? the white seems to pop in the videos, but seems like people love the clear coat in person. thanks!
I like the white more, but REP does a really good clear coat.
Great idea! What’s the depth from the wall to the last post with the iso arms attached to?
Offhand I want to say around 34"

This is brilliant! Just today I picked up 4 uprights, the nameplate logo and a lat pull down attachment + spotter arms for
I think I answered this on another post (IG maybe?) Let me know if not.
@@BasementBrandon you absolutely did!
great video, and this squat rack looks awesome. @basement brandon, why do you prefer a full on power cage?
I think it’s safer and offers more versatility
Awesome man looks great. Do you still use your rogue rack?
99% of the time.
What do you think of Again Faster's half racks? Seem pretty nice
I don't think I've seen anything from them outside of full racks or squat stands
Sorry if I missed it, but didnt you have the 6 post version of this same rack? Which do you prefer? Any training trade-offs to call out if space isn't an issue for you?
I prefer a full rack. I'm just showing how you can make a pretty versatile rack with little footprint.
Can you use PR-4000 uprights? And the link you have is the 1000-series pulldown, is that compatible with any uprights? Thanks! Great video.
You'd have to use all pr4000 parts. I'll check the link, maybe REP changed some of this since this video is older now.
@@BasementBrandon thanks dude! I ended up going with a rogue RML-390F…think it was a solid move! Now to save $ on attachments lol
@@KCChief1204 and so it begins!
Hey Brandon, I'm waiting for an 8x12 shed to be shipped and was trying to decide on a rack. I've been looking at the RM-3 and RM-4 as well as the comparable Rep racks(PR-5000 but seems like it would be the Omni rack now). Do you have any suggests on which I should choose? (I previously though about the ML series vs the PR-4000 but felt I'd get more versatility out of the ones I mentioned above)
The RML or PR4000 will save money initially and over time and are built enough where they'll last a lifetime. Just a question if you want some of the more boujee attachments.
***Has lever arms***
Uses low pulley and safety arms to belt squat LOL although it would be more ideal with the angle of pull, it doesn’t look as comfortable as a Rhino or using the lever arms.
You know I've belt squatted with these levers but for some reason just didn't show it. You still need to stand on something however.
What the length of the cross members?
41" across, 16" deep.
You obviously haven’t seen baywatch
lol
Will show you my rack in slow mo and let you compare.
If Coop from Garage Gym Reviews has the Coop rack, then is this the "Campbell Rack"? 😂😂
I have some other plans for that :)
I believe it’s called the Coop Squat
Ha
After Coop saw your rack he packed up his rack & flew the Coop🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🤣🤣😂😂🤣
I dub thee coop rack the chicken coop. Let be known lol
One of the best breakdown videos of the endless possibilities of a half rack I've ever seen! Thanks, Brandon!
Glad it was helpful
Honestly, you made that setup look great. Almost perfect. And now I'm very torn on what to upgrade too. Have a rogue half rack now, but the front posts are 2x3, and there's basically no attachments besides the Matador. Was planning on getting a full rack when Bare Steel Equipment releases theres... but now I'm torn.
I think 2x3 is more than most people need, but i do like the versatility of a square tube.
Great video and really appreciate you demonstrating some of the other exercise options instead of just speaking to it.
Sure there are a lot more I missed!
I’m watching this with my fitness reality rack and pull down telling myself it’s the same thing :)
got a fitness reality rack too, was waiting to get a rep pr-1100 but then i saw the ~$200 shipping price ;_;

That is an amazing setup for those confined to a much smaller footprint. I need to take some of these ideas. Thanks!
Just pluggin away, now to turn it into an apex rack
Good stuff, Brandon! Thanks for the inspo. Made a big difference in my space.
More room for more toys.
3yrs later, and the Ares 2.0 got me going back down the rabbit hole of videos from which I started 🤣🤣🤣. At least I know I’m not the only one who didn’t buy once
Lots of good options these days!
Is there a way you could do an actual list of the parts you utilized? Much appreciated!
2 uprights(4 total), 2 crossmembers 16”(4 total), logo crossmember thing, Probably the 1.25” pull-up bar, 2 leg rollers, spotter arms, iso arms, 4 pairs of weight horns, and front stabilizer feet, the pulley with rear stabilizer, bench, band pegs, looked like a couple utility horns as well, landmine. Basically every attachment rep has for it other than belt squat haha.
Best of luck getting all of that. It’s super hard getting attachments from rep always out of stock.
It's tough to do since everything is out of stock. I did put the basics in the description however.
@@BasementBrandon Can I ask what size uprights did you use? And assume you could also do this with the 4000 series as well?
@@mictorres360 92" and yes!
@@brandonstayberg looking at purchasing this equipment. From your video, I am not seeing a rear crossmember. did you not have one on ? The list you provided above shows the 1.25 Pull-Up bar, but I am not seeing it in your video either. Thanks!
I'm sorry to ask questions because you do such an amazing job. How stable is the rack w/o bolting in? Or does the weigh (plates) keep it stable? I was always wondering if all that back storage weight causes any tipping/stable issues. As always man.. THANK YOU. You help so much.
Super stable bc of the weight plates, lat pull foot plate and half rack feet. This one is not bolted. You could however prob bolt this and get rid of the front feet
When I saw, "best rack" I was kinda hoping that Brandon was going to be shirtless....
wish they had stuff in stock :(
Same lol
Have you ever tried to adapt the Rep Lat Row Attachment to your Rogue Monster rack? I am contemplating giving it a go at some point if Rogue doesn't release the Monster weight stack soon. I've got the 90in RM6, so was thinking a small monster strip on top to allow the 93" Rep lat pulldown to fit there, then maybe moving the 24in bottom crossmembers up a bit to the height of where it would attach to the low pull brace and put a crossmember across there since the Rep stabilizer wouldn't fit right.
I don't think it will work. I believe where the bolts would have to go end up roughly where the crossmembers join.
Hey, Brandon! Here’s a question for you - Do the benefits of the Rep Lat Pulldown (which are many, it’s the best if wanting to combine with a rack) outweigh the overall build and quality of the Rep rack and accessories when compared with Rogue’s racks and accessories? What’s your opinion?
I think the build of the actual rack is on par with Rogue. The attachments jsut aren't as nice, but you can very easily swap most of them if desired.
if you can list all the parts and the dimension of this setup that would be really nice. Thanks. Space saving rack is important for most home gym. This setup is great.
I'll see if i can put them all together when I have a minute.
I just built an Apollo from REP with the lat pull-down and if it wasn’t for this video showing the rear stabilizer flipped, I would have lost another 2 feet in my 10x10 room. Awesome idea, stoked you made this video!
Sounds like a pretty sweet set up!
How does the alignment work with the rear stabilizer flipped to the top crossmember? I wanted to build this out but was wondering if this only works with 16in crossmembers or could I use the 24in and still flip the stabilizer and it line up correctly. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
@@BUI3BA I don't believe it would work in that case. With the 16" ones, the stabilizer is right in the middle, so it makes it easy to flip around. With deeper crossmembers if attaching to the rear, the upper part of the lat plull down machine will not be able to mount on the upper crossmember.
@@BasementBrandon Could you please confirm if the crossmember shown in your video is 16 inches? Additionally, I would like to know if the Front Foot Extension is necessary for this setup or if it is optional.
@@goethert yes 16". I don't think necessary when you have that much weight storage on there, but if you didn't it would be a must IMO.
With an incline bench, can you still use the spotter arms to safely bench while having the lever arms attached?
That’s what I was thinking, use the safety arms as extended j cups for incline bench since you can’t slide the bench far enough back
yes, the trade off might be the arms are set a little lower so you may have to bring the bar down and out
I never liked half racks but this is pretty damn nice... also some of your audio is delayed and it feels like I’m watching an old Kung fu flick on VHS
Clipping in this one too. Thanks my dude.
Does that lat pull down fit the Rogue Monster rack?
Seen a video somewhere of a Titan lat pulldown on a Rogue rack
But it could've been a RML 690 set up instead
I am curious about the same thing. Can this Lat system fit on a Monster or Monster Lite?
Not without some heavy mods. The racks are different widths and heights.
Great video Brandon. I would be skeptical to do incline presses though, yes you can bring it forward but it’s the racking when you’re done that I would be worried about. Just doesn’t seem ideal.
You can set up the jammers to do a machine type incline press as well.
Very nice... very nice indeed! I appreciate any/all racks (no matter how big or small!)...very creative Sir!
clever! i’ve always wondered how it’d be to reverse the horizontal stabilizer bar for the lat pulldown. but don’t the front stabilizer arms defeat the point of having a smaller footprint since it still protrudes out? it may feel smaller bc you don’t have the front uprights, but in the end you still need the front real estate for the arms imo
although the lower footprint is increased, it feels a lot smaller b/c you don't have the upper footprint.
ISF plate review?
Eventually!
Brandon love your content brother! How far away from the wall is are the rear uprights? How much space would be required to use standard 45lb plates?
with a plate on the rear trolly I still have a few inches left over to allow plates to go on and off easily.
Versatility half rack , right on definitely in my budget thanks. I take this rack over rogue sml squat stand. More versatility. 🤙🤙🤙.
Right on
Hello ! Thanks for the video. Is this the 93'' tall version ? Did you bolted it down or is it stable enough with the foot extender ?
93" and not bolted
How far over the front does the lat pulldown arm hang over the front? That set up looks like it might work with a 30" crossmember AND a pullup bar.
Not very much. If you look at my pr5000 video I orinally had this set up as a 30" depth 6 post rack with crown pull up bar. Plenty of space.
OK maybe you covered this in the video but did you reverse the cage to get the lat pulldown attachment pulled forward? Specifically, move the upper crossmenber on the rear posts moved to the front posts and reverse the lower crossmember/stabilizer on the rear post. Surprised this lines up correctly. I would assume you know this but n the pictures on the Rep website the rear stabilizer is reversed and the "Rep" labeled top crossmember is on the rear posts. With the stabilizer reversed from what you have, you probably loss a good foot and a half I would bet behind the rack but you open up more space inside the rack for the bench.
One other thing I noticed is you didn't have the "weight attachements." The rack builder on the Rep website won't let you add weight horns unless you have the additional rear weight storage uprights. However, you can just go find them under the rack attachments section of the website and add them manually. Just glad to see that they seem functional this way.
So for me I reversed it b/c otherwise the bolts it requires on the uprights limits how low you can mount certain attachments (like safeties in this example). Flipping the stabilizer doesn't change how much space the unit takes up as it sits right in the middle of the two posts regardless.
@Basement Brandon The older I get (about to hit 40), the less I want compact and efficient gear. I'd rather have heavy duty, dedicated equipment (e.g. Rogue LP-2). Once I figure out how to receive the 775 lb machine...I'll buy one. I am not into the convertible gear anymore, but I understand the appeal. I'd rather kick tn wifes car out of the garage, and buy her something nice to make it up to her.
Haha right on! I get it, I wouldn't rock this set up unless I had to, but I think for a lot of people this would be a good way to go.
@@BasementBrandon Totally agree. It's the best option for the masses.
Thanks for bringing a fresh idea to the home gym community!
Thanks dude.
Is it a good idea to wait for Black Friday to buy the REP PR-5000 or should i buy now?
If you missed the labor day sale I'd prob wait.
@@BasementBrandon Well i did took advantage of the labor day sale and bought the REP PR-5000 but i need a bench and colored bumpers and think i'll wait for the Black Firiday sale! I have only owned the LXJ black bumpers and they were really nice quality. I think Joel from As Many Reviews As Possible has the other ones and he had good things to say.
@@BasementBrandon Thanks for the reply really appreciate it! Love the channel!
why no mention of USA made racks and only cheap chinese made stuff?
Why would I mention that when the video is based off a REP fitness rack? I have plenty of made in USA equipment, including racks, but that's not the point of this video.
Awesome. I have the space for a full rack, but honestly just prefer a half rack as I prefer to lift on the outside of the cage. This is the exact set up that I've been looking for as I've been looking for a way to get a half rack with lat pull. Thank you, sir!
Sure thing!
I agree have been weighing all options for two weeks and this is PERFECT I prefer to bench and squat outside the rack too.
You just made me feel extreme jealousy man. I live in India and we don't have these kinds of equipments and attachments easily available. I want this so badly and there is a zero chance I can build this Brandon.
Sorry my friend!
@@BasementBrandon lots of love and respect for your work man. Countries like mine lack a lot behind in this and the shipping costs from the states can be so high one would never be able to afford these.
Those Jammers kinda defeat the space saving route. I get it, trying to minimize that footprint. Especially if it's just you alone working out.
When not in use they don’t take up any extra room and even when fully extended they don’t take up much more than the spotter arms or half rack feet. Def can do without them though!
Most people recommend getting the shorter ones (I know Rogue offers them) -- probably a better option if you're really tight on space.
Wondering you if you could do this same build by modifying the apollo half rack
I believe so. This was before the Apollo came out
Wish I had seen this video two days ago :) I just bought a PR-5000 with 30" crossmembers, but I didn't have room for the lat pull down attachment which was a bummer. But seeing the install here with the rear stabilizer reversed makes me want to get it. Can you tell me how far the lat attachment extends past the rear upright in this setup? Do you think reversing the stabilizer in a 30" rack would still provide enough room in the rack to do some work? Thanks!
Prob still want a good foot clearance for the equipment and then space to load the horns. My stablizer is flipped now actually to allow for more ROM on the front uprights for safeties. It's attaches at an angle however so no matter which way it faces the center part is always going to be in the middle.
@@BasementBrandon Thanks for the quick reply!
This is almost a perfect rack, if it would have an adjustable pulley system, then, it would be perfect.
Could make it with REPs new cable options.

Anyone know how to get a lat pull down like this on a Rogue HR-2 ?
Haven't seen one
I just ordered this similar setup. Thank you for the video; I found it incredibly helpful when building out my half rack. Which Rogue bench did you refer to in the video that has more clearance from the lat/pulldown brace to do incline press?
It's the Adjustable 2.0. However in most cases I'd still suggest the REP version as it ends up being a few hundred cheaper after shipping/tax
@@BasementBrandon Agreed. Thank you!
Do you think this same concept can be done with Rogue? In Canada, Rogue ships and trying to figure out if Rogue, Vulcan, Titan or another system can be done in the same way?
I don't believe they have the same integrated Lat pull down with the exception of Titan. However the way theirs mounts is flush with the uprights and takes up more floor space, so I would research heavily before making that decision.
Damnnnn. When I buy a house I’m definately getting this

Would the Athena attachment also fit onto this exact setup if you wanted to add the functional trainer element?
TBH if I were doing this today I'd just start with the base Athena or the 16+16 6 post option.
@@BasementBrandon can you say why? What would the 16+16 six post build give you that the build in this video doesn't?
In my case I am concerned about the depth as I only have about 68" available to work with and I want to also be able to do standing OHP and pullups. I assume a 6 post version wont work. I'm also considering a 4 post with the ares attachment, to save on the depth that the lat pulldown attachment adds.
@@j2dickin Just for more overall stability and to move the front uprights a bit further away from the back storage. More personal prefernce. The regular 16" alone would be a compact solution.
You can flip the stabilizer bar no problem for more room. Garage Gym Experiment did that.
It is flipped in this video :)
@@BasementBrandonlove the setup! Rep Fitness website states that stabilizer bar adds 27" to the rack depth. How much room/depth does flipping the stabilizer bar save? Or how much depth does the lat pulldown add with this set-up ? Either dimension would be useful.
@@lonka2184 The rear stabilizer doesn't take up that much space. I believe the 27" refers to if you have the lat pull down extension. For me in this set up the stabilizer fits between the two uprights, so flipping it one way or the other doesn't take up any additional space.
@@BasementBrandon Thank you for the reply. I had two more follow up questions:
1) If this rack were to be bolted down, would the front stabilizer legs still be necessary?
2) Let's say I wanted to do something similar but really wanted to have an actual pull-up bar, and didn't want to spend money on the jammer arms. Could I opt for 24" long cross members, buy the rep fitness Globe side-mount pull-up bar, bolt down the rack and skip the front stabilizer legs and jammer arms? Total depth would be (3"+27" = 30") without spotter arms or (24"+3" + 27" = 54") with spotter arms mounted. I could see potentially the rear posts being same depth as the lat pulldown sled may be inconvenient. Could you please comment on such a set up?
@@lonka2184 Yeah if bolting down the front feet become unnecessary. For the other question, I don't believe you'll have enough space to mount it unless you went even bigger that 24" (not even sure 30" would work). There are other options. You could use utility pins as handles, mount your j cups high and use a barbell as a pull up bar, etc..
Very nice setup. Are the cross members 16"?
Yes they are.
@Basement Brandon Thank you Sir
Is this bolted down? Or are the front extended legs rough to hold this down (plus extra plates in the back?
Not bolted, with the feet and weight storage it won't go anywhere.
Does the position of the weight horns on the lat pull-down make it difficult to get the weights on and off?
It does not.
Honestly, I prefer a half rack. Maybe I'm a little claustrophobic, but I feel more comfortable without the uprights behind me while I'm squatting. I'll have to keep these Rep racks in mind when it's time to upgrade.
Right on! I lifted for one in years but like the security of a full cage!
Whats the depth of the half rack?
It's going to vary based off how it's set up and how much space you want from the wall. With the feet on here mine is still at like 50"
Rep fitness is pretty sold out with a lot of stuff. Do you have a link to the prebuilt?
Look at the apollo rack on their site.
You can't load pull-down without getting away from wall. And if you move away from wall,.....no space saving.
It’s minimal as I show here
@@BasementBrandon Yours isn't far enough from the wall to comfortably walk behind it and put on plates.
@@ChrisP3000x There's no reason to walk behind. You simply put plates on from the side, it's very easy to do so.
@@BasementBrandon You can't put weights on the lat pulldown directly from the "side".
@@ChrisP3000x Yes you can, I owned it and have done it. Have you? 🤡
Thankful for this video! I've been considering the Apollo, but it's on some funky skis that I don't really care for. I never even thought of this.
I think now they have some even better options with the athena and ares.
i need this. take my money right now 🤣
They've since come out with some other great add ons (ares, athena, apollo, etc)
Amazing video.. I've come back to it a dozen times for reference. Quick question: Do you remember roughly the footprint this took up off the wall?
So first of all I'd say if you're looking at this, REP now has better options that are based off this model and can get even more compact with some of their weight stack options (athena & ares). This one here is a bit deceiving b/c when you factor in the front feet and the space needed for the plate loaded pins in the back you're still prob looking at like 50-60"
Question. I see you dont have it bolted down. I was planning to get this rack but without the pulley system. Would that still allow for safe squating and benching outside of the rack with the spotter arms? Or would I be at risk of it tipping over if I fail a heavy squat on the spotter arms? Like a 400lbs squat.
I think as long as you have some sort of weight storage and the front feet it should work.
Is there any type of crossmember, pull-up bar, etc. across the top rear of the rack? Just curious if something is needed there for lateral stability.
Not in this case
Not here.
@@BasementBrandon I really like this build for a small space. Thinking about pulling the trigger on this. Looks like it's been 3 years since you built this. Any changes you'd make in hindsight?
@@jasonshoaf8484 I'd prob look at one of their set ups that integrate their pulley systems now.
The “Diamond Rack” love it!
lol
I appreciate you so much was going to get the 30 inch rack but have decided due to small half side of garage to build this exact setup giving me more space. I have treadmill, Rogue battle bike and sauna on that side too so not too much room for rack this will be perfect and still give ALL exercises I want. I like the 1:1 vs 2:1 of athena as I lift somewhat heavy too and don't want to buy more plates!
Yeah if those were out back then that would def be the route I went on this!
Awesome video!! I was looking for a creative, space saving yet functional setup.
Do you think the logo cross member could be swapped out for a pull up bar? Would it be stable enough?
I'd prob look into one of their compact athena or ares set ups now that they're out. They currently are running a "rack week" discount for black friday/november.
awesome vid. what about the "best rack ever - on a budget" ?
Brandon,
If you reversed the RBS with 30 inch crossmembers and have the selectorized lat pull down. 1. Would you be able to incline bench outside rack. 2. Have a pull up bar. 3. Have room for plate storage and 4. What would be the total length from back to front with the foot stabilizers? 72 inches? Thanks, your the man
I think with this set up it's hard to incline unless you have the jammers. Reversing the RBS doesn't give you any more room front to back, it just opens up upright mounting points. Pull Up bar with this set up would also be tough other than what I show due to no space.
Hiw u doing bro. Do you see any advantages from having a 4 post rack with ares system and getting a jacked up rack or a force g3 rack with cable systems besides price and Smith machine?? Don't like Smith machines but it comes with it. Ares system comes with stack and g3 comes with plate loaded but it's only $2000 compare to rep rack with ares for about $4000
I think it depends what you like and how you train. I see the ForceUSA stuff more for people who like a lot of machine type work.
So the PR 5000 is the same as PR 5000v2. I built my rack at rep fitness its a pr5000. Iam a little confused I chose the 80" rack and 30" if I buy lat pull down attachment and stabilizer I won't need to bolt it down correct?? Will the rogue leverage arms work on this rack?
OK this is my dilemma.🙄
I currwntly have this set up PRX wall rack and separate valor lat pull down machine, separate rogue pull up bar, separate rogue band station with matador dip attachment and landmine (this is what I currently have right now) and many of other things.. I want the rogue arms so for that I will have to get another rack I think so I been looking at the one mentioned avobe..now if I get the pr5000 with lat pull down, rogue leverage arms, dip, land mind and pull up bar attachments I can sell all my other stuff and this way I will have everything consolidated in one rack..don't know if I will like everything cramped up in one place though🤔🤔. Or maybe just replace prx wall rack with rogue wall rack and keep everything else in separate stations like I have it now??🤔🤔
Yes PR 5000 is the same. If you add those it will def make it more than stable enough.
How did reversing the rear stabilizer for the pull down work? I have the pr5000 but don’t want to extend another 30something inches in my garage, do you notice any difference? How much space are you saving from it?
doesn't save any space for footprint, but allows you to use more of the front uprights for attachments.
Anything you would change on this today? I could get platform welded locally to make a belt squat platform on the rear brace but that's the only thing that stands out to me.
Prob would opt for the athena or ares vs plate loaded.
I love the rack that you built! Do you think you could get the same functional use out of the Rep Ares with the 2 stack weight plates? I have a small gym foot print and would need something compact like this.
Yeah if the ares was available at the time of this build I prob would have suggested that route!
Bro I don’t know if I hate you or appreciate you.
I was set on a folding rack ect until I realized that will not do much for me because I will have a lot of other things taking up space so why not get something more sturdy. I was set on the rogue m3 now you got this rep guy wtf! However I do try my best to support USA made but $$ is $$ when it’s that high and quality... omg I need some more info
Haha it's not an easy choice, so many good racks.
Brandon. 2 thoughts. Any chance you will take a peek at the PRX SBB? They just launched it. Similar price to the the SS Yoke. USA made. And this lat pulldown is really not needed. I have a couple monster shackles and a good band set and get similar results.
Prob not, seems like another EliteFTS clone so nothing new to really say. On the band front, it's completely different vs an actual pulley system IMO.
If building a similar rack but without lat pulldown attachment but with multi-grip pull-up bar (will not be using it for kipping pull-ups), would the front foot extensions be necessary, or would bolting it down to a platform be sufficient?
If you're bolting you don't need the feet.
Quick question for you.
Would the same build be possible with the 4000 series? I assume you only built it with the 5000 because you had some of the bits already laying around?
I believe so as they have all the same pieces.
I don't pay attention to Coop because he looks like never lift. He is just a collector. If the infinity stones were real he surely have them LOL. Brandon excellent review I want it but every time I check REP Web nothing good is on stock.
I'm still working on that lifting part myself!
I sold my SML-1 in August to get a full PR-4000 and it was the best decision I ever made. Not only did I make profit but I saved a lot of $$ too. I saw people converting their squat stands to half racks and they were spending more than me on a worse set-up. Squat stands are also way less space efficient. The footprint of a squat stand is 48x48 but a 30” power rack is 48x36. Tell me I’m wrong!!
What I really like about all this at the end of the day is everything is super modular and you can really build anything you can think of.
So, I like this build but price obviously is not ideal. My goal is to buy a semi budget rack, that I wouldn't have to replace, but could improve in the future. Is this the best starter in your experience? Minus some of the bells and whistles of course.
I think you could do this potentially with any rack, I'd just check specs to see what you can add to it.
Im sold. If I didnt already have a 6 post rack (PR4000) I would go this route. Only negative would be I would have to give up strap safeties.
True! I think this offers some helpful things, but I'm a full rack kinda guy!
Isn't the whole point of monolift attachments that you unrack the barbell by just pushing it up and they retract automatically by counterweights or springs?
Yes, this is one of the main reasons I don't like how they call the attachments available monolifts.
Great rack. I am just used to my full rack (X3 flat foot) with 10” extension.
Your half rack set up is one of the best I have seen with that attachments and plate storage. If all half racks came equipped like yours I would be more open.
X3 is a solid choice!
@@BasementBrandon it is a great set up so far.
Thanks for taking the time to respond to your followers!!!
Are the rwp fitness attachments compatible with x 3 short version rack?
@@futbol1972 ususally if their is only one pin. I believe titan uses metric measurements and rep uses standard like rogue.
