I have watched so many hours of minimalism content, but this video of yours has all the juice of minimalism in just 18 mins. I too have become a minimalist myself, as from my early days I was always inclined towards feeling more at peace with living simply, but now I have embraced it fully with all my heart, and I see all the stress to cope up with the world, just for the sake of it is gone...now I sigh only with relief. 😊....instead of running after money to buy things others own, I now do things which are more pleasureable and costs nothing, like connecting to nature, enjoying time with family rather than technology, loving the neighbourhood I live in daily rather than 2 weeks of holidays I get once in a year.
I've been fulltime rv living for 6 years and it was the best decision I've ever made. I'm a single dad and raised my son on my own. He's loved it as well, it's like camping every night. He graduates high school soon and he'll be taking my RV to live in while he goes to college. As for me, I'm going to do the vanlife. To say I'm excited is an understatement.
That's pretty much what Buddhist Boot Camp is about: living in gratitude full-time, redefining "enough" so we experience the world from the perspective of abundance instead of lack, and bringing mindfulness to the present moment instead of being stuck in the past or having anxiety about the future. :)
I chose an 1985 Airstream trailer to live in on my patio and rent my unit out for income. I recommend this if you have a stationary space where you can place it and hook up to sewer. It actually increases in value and is well made. I absolutely love the energy of the curved ceilings . I am working on the minimal aspect but I have come along way. I find myself traveling to Mexico a lot where its so cheap to live and the food is awesome.
It’s decided i’m living in an RV when I move out! 22 right now and last year at home. Gonna pimp out my own mini home thanks for the inspirational video!
Me and my husband just decided the other day to sell our 3000 sf house/3 acres and have a grand estate sale and go rving for the rest of our day's here on earth😁 we are sick of being slaves to materialism and want to enjoy life and see all the beautiful things that this world has to offer🤗
Rebecca Sipler, congrats., my husband deceased 6 yrs. ago...m downsizing, my house of 3,000 r so square ft., it will be up for sale in 3 wks. Been seeing this travel shows, very comforting, might buy a travel trailer r a smaller hm. in a gated community, m not sure as of yet, m 66 yrs., very healthy, lots of metobolism, very petite, happy trails to you both, enjoy life, happy trails.
Thank YOU!! I'm currently in the process of making a life change, and stuff has become a non issue for me. As long as I have something to sit on, something to sleep on, and the necessary appliances for food, cooking, etc. I'm at peace! I would have never imagined that I would be so free from attachments.
Two years ago i built a van and went cross country and loved it, now i have a 40 foot diesel pusher and getting ready to hit the road in January by myself, wife is not going with me, i seem to travel better by myself, less stress and only have myself to worry about. Life is short and i am a traveler and she is not so off i go. Thanks for the video. :)
I love this so much. 7 months ago I sent my stuff to auction and moved into my camper full time. I have never felt happier or more free so I totally get it. :) I live my life on my terms now, and it's so liberating! Thank you. :)
J Wilber I am single mother of 3 kids I paying rent of 2000 monthly and I moving to get RV in California but can’t find best RV for kids some recommendation guys
It's important to take stock of your life at every stage. I'm 71 and fit. My wife is 63 and retires in 18 months. 6 months ago we decided to pack it all in, go as small as we are comfortable, and live on the road. By the time she retires, we will have no debt, not even on the 20-foot trailer we just bought that we will live in. She wants to work until age 65 when her retirement and Soc Sec will kick in. It takes a lot of planning when you're a senior to go sustainable. It takes a change in attitude from "wanting it all" to "I have more than enough". When you get to that point the Universe opens up for you. You are actually HAPPY! You smile a lot just because you do. Your health is better. Your food tastes better. You see people for who they are, not for what they do. All the sh** that others put up with no longer exists in your world. Sometimes just taking in a big breath of fresh clean air feels better than a paycheck. We are taking time to breathe. I hope to see all of you on the road sometime.
Loved every minute of this. My husband and I are doing exactly this. We now live in our RV full time and are playing the game of how low can we get our monthly expenses. We feel like we are pretty much retired in our early 30s and feel extremely liberated and free. Ghandi spoke the truest words when he said, "Happiness is when what you think, what you say and what you do are in harmony." Subbed!
You're brilliant. Thank you for your wisdom and guidance. I'm a retired Christian on a small pension & I'm looking forward to adopting many of your tips for living a simple, minimalist, peaceful life. Continue to bless and be blessed.
I love your outlook on simplifying life. I am a disabled veteran who let my wife have her dream home with an in law suite for her dad (who left shortly after building) and now I’m a slave to a job again to pay for her and her dad. I’m now trying to find ways to free myself from the 9-5 life. I have always told those close to me I could live in a shed and be perfectly happy. I rarely buy anything for myself. Your video really resonates with me. THANK YOU MY FRIEND!!
Thanks for the Video. Well done and well said. My wife and I lived in our sailboat and traveled much of the world over a 25 yr period . Not because we were wealthy but we adopted much of your philosophy. We are not Buddhist but think along those lines. People would think that we had a big inheritance (we had none) or some kind of wind fall. We have had experiences in life that money can’t buy. At 74 yrs old we are getting ready to do it again with a motorhome. see out there!!
Thank you for sharing Timber. Funny how a lot of us chase the wrong dream. My wife and I sold our 3500 square foot house last spring to move to a 700 square foot apartment and couldn't be happier. No mortgage, high utility bills, or up keep. Next is to take a position with the company that will allow us to travel while we covert a bus to live in. This all started after a trip to Key West and when I realized not everyone is stuck in Hillsboro Oregon being a slave to a high tech company. Best wishes to you and all who are chasing their TRUE dreams.
Out of all the camper videos that I've binge watched, you've brought a refreshing alternative reality to it all. Your story had such a wonderful and calming delivery and your happiness is infectious :). Thank you
I love this so much,I have a studio and love it but people are always telling me why don't I get a bigger place when I don't want one, I stopped eating meat now I'm working on paring my stuff down, this was really nice to see.
A studio was my first apt and I love it. It’s very big for a studio and people tell me the same thing. I am now over 40 and still in my studio and I pay less on my mortgage than what some ppl pay for rent. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. I tell my friends and family if you do not want to see my studio then do not visit. I just do not get why ppl live their lives for others. I am almost done paying for it and I am staying right there. I drive a Mazda 5 and it is a used car with no payments. Do not get sucked into the world of everyone trying to keep up to the Kardashian’s and spend what they do not have. I am a teacher and I love my life as I travel and enjoy life and am very stress free. I see all my friends who are doctors and lawyers and work with corporate companies how stressed they are. They can keep that life We need to get the notion out our heads that we must have all the latest gadgets and wear brand name clothes. When my friends tell me to get with it I laugh to their faces because I am so relaxed. Define your happiness and do not let others project on you because with all the material things they are bloody unhappy. Just look at how many celebrities on drugs commit suicide etc yet ppl yearn to live that lifestyle. Live life on your terms
I’m not saying that your friends are that way but, you know the old cliche....misery loves company. Ppl can be envious of others when they are not in the same struggle(financial).
My husband and I lived for one month in our 1970 Terry camper when he started a new job in a town an hour and a half away. We parked the camper in a campground beside the Ohio river. We have been married for 21 years and that one month living in that camper is the happiest I have ever been. We cooked over a propane stove every evening. Just pure happiness!
I love your kitchen area. When lived in an RV, I cooked everything from scratch: bread, yogurt & every single meal. It was the healthiest I've ever been. I rode my bike to work. I was fit & free. I had very little money, but I had time. I appreciate you exposing the "big lie" we are all programmed into at a young age: get a good job, a 30-40-50 year mortgage, new car every year & spend, spend, SPEND with your credit card & you'll be happy. There IS another way.
I had an epiphany when I was a kid I was born in 1957 in a small town outside of Detroit. When I was growing up the path to success was getting a job at one of the big three or the railroad ect. Like you said I knew what I did not want to do. I tried working in a factory and lasted 28 days. I got my second check and left at lunch and never came back. I decided on a life of adventure and have had one.
Working part-time to live full time. I've been living as a solo nomad since 2004 and traveled alone since 1996. For the past few years I've managed to live on around $7,000 a year, and I've travelled and explored a lot during the winter months. I prefer to be out in nature, away from cities and towns. We truly don't need much to be happy. I live in an Astro Van, and lack for nothing. I love this life and intend to continue living this way until I'm ready to try something else.
I watch many vanlife videos and it seems to do it cheaply you need to live on gov't land in the desert basically for free. I live in Southeast. Any idea of places this part of country?
Great video! You gave me some "food for thought". I'm 71 and trying to evaluate some things about how to live more efficiently so I can live more effectively.
The statement of celebrating 30 years in a cubicle gave me chills. Investing in my first RV within a few weeks and excited to get out of the rat race for sure!
I feel the same way. Just imagine for a moment if everyone on the planet was gone.. All these fancy cars and penthouse apartments would be ... worthless, Everyone is in such a hurry to go WHERE? It is insane. I have felt this way for a very long time. I really loved your story.
"In the world I see - we'll be stalking elk through the damp canyon forests around the ruins of Rockefeller Center. We will wear leather clothes that will last us the rest of our lives. We will climb the wrist-thick kudzu vines that wrap the Sears Tower, and when we look down, we will see tiny figures pounding corn, laying strips of venison on the empty carpool lane of some abandoned superhighway" -Tyler Durden
I admire your philosophy and that you've shared this personal view of your living choices. I do have one observation that I would like to share, which is that I really would like for people who go into mobile living like this to make a different choice for the toileting needs. The dry toilet as demonstrated creates a lot of plastic waste to wrap up something that will then take up room in a landfill for thousands or however many years it takes to break it down. Simple 5-gal bucket composting toilets actually work amazingly well and if one uses sawdust to layer in waste products, do not have odors. I have lived with one indoors, in a small cabin. By the time we would fill up the bucket, most of the material would already be composted to neutral-smelling (2 people). Then there are options for electrified, self-contained composting toilets that render the material completely inert for removal in the small amounts that are left. Anyway, I mean this feedback to only help others who are facing choices, as another set of options. Namaste.
Thank you. DryFlush is in the process of creating biodegradable and compostable liners for these toilets, and I'm looking forward to the day for the very reasons you shared. Lots of options out there. Namaste.
Your RV is amazingly neat. I love it. We live in 2 smallish places but recently purchased a tiny RV to see as many state and national parks as we can. Living small is the key. You can do so much more by living smallish. Good luck to you. Namaste.
I hardly ever comment on these but in this case almost felt obligated to do so. What a video bro!! I mean Im almost in tears just thinking of the day I can do this!!! Thank you
Wow, one of the best minimalist videos I have seen. And best explanations of it. I have been watching a lot of videos about living in Vans or buses or campers recently. And find myself being drawn to the minimalist lifestyle. I have never been big on owning nice cars or the latest cell phone. They mean nothing to me. God bless you all. 😀
I have always been content living on less than 30k a year my entire life even raising 3 kids with this small amount and I have never been unhappy with the small amount of money I make. I never have chased the more attitude. My oldest child moved out this year and my other two kids will be out on there own within 4 years and I plan on getting a RV and going on the road in an rv and I can't wait for the day.
"Live full time work part time" that is so true!!! I love how you bring up how its important to not make a lot of money but to reduce living expenses!!! And i love how this is realistic and detailed and i love how you stated you live on only $10k a year, you are living the dream!!!!
Back for a third watch. My adult son is in college and still living at home. I made the commitment to him to provide housing until he graduates and sets off on the next chapter of his life. I am slowly making my way through possessions, giving away, selling, and tossing. My goal is to move into a much smaller space or possibly even find an RV or camper. Lots of unknowns but I appreciate having this information about the possibilities available. Thank you.
Such an elegant speaker that is very clear and concise in me understanding the choices that I make! I am in the process of defining of what "enough" is. Thank you!
your happiness made me cry...so incredibly moving! i've set my focus on 'getting out' and the universe landed me on this video just now. I feel so blessed and thank you very much for the sharing you do and yes to your choices and how you listened to your heart. thank you
I've lived for many years as a minimalist and can't begin to express/explain how it's changed my life for the better. I'm more at peace, not stressed by any means, motivated others whom enter my home to follow suit. The RV is something I will give serious thought to. I own a larger home than needed but in due time that will go downsizing to smaller space. Excites me Timber Hawkeye that I can honestly say 'I'm on your journey with Peace and Tranquility' Namaste!
I celebrated my 6yr in a cubicle this week and I left work so depressed knowing that this isn't where I want to be for another 25years. Seeing this video reinforces my urge to cut ties with corporation life.
I celebrated my 9th year last October and I quit this past February. Leaving was my biggest celebration yet. Even though I’m not quite sure how things will play out, I know I made the right choice. I have no desire to go back to that life. I feel so free. This video is truly inspiring! Do what makes you happy.
I just watched this video, I have never heard of you before this. I went straight to Audible and bought your book, and your lifestyle is amazing to see. How you live and who you are speaks to a deep part of my heart, so thank you so much for you inspiration and pure message.
@@ElizabethGonzalez-jt7ns if your single or aa couple od reccomend this then ..... I would do but we have a kid so hasnt been a option yet unfortunately but honestly RV living is the best way to escape working your ass off 7 days a week just to barely cover everything . This economy is not good at all like Trumpsters and retirees keep saying .
@Mike Ross - unless you share custody, why would having a kid make a difference? We would have done this with ours if custody wasn’t an issue! Kids are adaptable - and life is a great educator. Home schooling is REALLY easy these days - just sign up for online classes! Don’t let this be the excuse - if you wanna do it, find a way!
This is so cool! My wife and I are working on selling our home and living in an RV. I love the way you have laid out the interior! So perfect! I am definitely inspired! You make it look so easy. Your smile and your joy makes me happy too! Thanks!
With the cost of housing, you would be better off renting your home with the help of an agency so you always have a home base and you are getting income as well as paying off your mortgage. Just a thought, until you are sure the life is for you .
I agree with you 100% and I am longing for this lifestyle and have been for a few years. I can't seem to convince my husband that we don't have to wait for retirement. He is going to be watching this video this evening when he gets home from work. You have put this into perfect perspective. I love your beautiful home! You have such a calm, wonderful way about you. I know I'm not telling you anything you don't already know. I watch these type of videos a lot, but nobody has conveyed their message quite like you. Bob Wells is wonderful to watch and learn from and is actually a hero in my eyes. I am adding you to my list of heroes. You have touched my heart with your message and you are a truly good man! Thank you for sharing your home and your message.
My wife and I traveled the US living in ABQ, NM, Austin TX, Houston TX, Boston Mass, and Boise Idaho all in a 29ft fth wheel(w/ 2 slides). One of the most surreal life experiences we've done. We sold our house, sold all 3 cars, and unloaded as many things we could before we left. It allow us to see our great country, Yellowstone, Acadia, adirondacks, the white mountains, Cape Cod, and even Alaska and so so much more. It was an amazing 2 years, that being said, our first big purchase after moving back to Charlotte to start a family was a king size bed, haha. I understand why you did away with the black water tank. Enjoy this life we have!
I couldn't agree more with your philosophy. Now days alot of people are caught up with the "Keeping up with the Jones's" lifestyle. Although I myself hav'nt been able to reach the level of success that you have, I often ask myself, "If I can work to make the boss successful , why can't I work to make ME successful". Thanks for sharing, you have a great life and philosophy. Kind regards, Eric Dee.
This is an awesome video. I went from being homeless for a number of years to having a job, eventually a mortgage and now a condo full of stuff. When I realized that the choices in my life had been mine, started making real changes and stopped blaming others (being a victim) for my situation is when life really started to turn around. Minimalist RV life is very appealing. After a decade at the same job (for which I am extremely grateful) and a condo full of stuff, I am rethinking the life I live. I have always felt more free with less.
I'm glad I clicked on the YT suggestion. Wonderful tips and insights to happier life, just subscribed and selected notification bell. Counting down the months, till I sell house, payoff all debts and move into a new 26' Class C with no payments. Selling my mid century style furniture was my biggest mental block, but I finally can see saying good buy to them. I'm looking forward to having lots a free time to travel, read, take up kayaking and pursue a late in life career as a portrait photographer. No more cleaning large a house, pool and 1.4 acre property, I'm smiling at the simpler life ahead. Safe travels.
In the beginning I thought I stumbled across this video by mistake, because I was searching for something totally different. Something inside said click on the vidoe and watch. I'm so glad I did, in watching and hearing you I found out so many things about myself and my personal journey. Your and inspiration to so many people. I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos and following you along the way. You've opened doors in my other wise closed brain allowing me to see crystal clear on a few issues I'd been struggling with. Thank you for your transparency. Your inner peace shines so bright its amazing to see. Thank you and have an awsome day.
I Lived on a a sailboat for 12 yrs. Sometimes anchored out and sometimes @ an affordable dock. At that time , there were not these wonderful portable washing machines. It would have been great. But in the tropics I hand washed my clothes a little @ a time and then hung them on the life lines or on a hanger inside the boat. Raised my kids for about 3 years on the boat. This life style taught me so much of what u dont need in life. And I actually went sailing and also did work part time. So I feel blessed. Went fishing and had some wonderful fish dinners. Spent alot of time on the ocean. Now I live on land and still a nice warm shower and turning on a light switch , I still feel thankful. I miss those days. Thank u for this
While I don't embrace Buddhism, the timing and quality of the words you imparted do resonate and reverberate entirely with those seeking liberation from the bondage of materialism. I salute you in your accomplishments. Thank you
Thank you. I always tell people not to worry about trying to be a Buddhist or Christian, for example, but rather Buddha-like or Christ-like. What I like about Buddhism is that it isn't a religion, it's a practice (much like yoga), and many who are devout Jews or Catholics, for example, credit Buddhism for strengthening their own faith in God (Buddhism doesn't have a God, so there's no conflict-of-interest). At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what people believe as long as it motivates them to be kind. As I often say, "Your beliefs don't make you a better person, your behavior does." :) Namaste.
This gentleman is a brilliant and beautiful human being. Thank you for your insight, wisdom and passionate desire to share your values and experience. Well done, sir.
So wonderful that I stumbled upon this I've been living this way for several months and had been dying to do it for a while and finally had the guts to live it out. I wished I had done this much earlier in my life I love it. So beautiful to see someone else express that message that we don't need more to live more.
I've seen so many videos around related topics but this video has been a truly beautiful experience. In a way, you are explaining the obvious but sometimes the obvious can be so complicated if we become disconnected from our true selves. Thank you for letting us into your life. Very wonderful and thought provoking. Happy New Year!
"We live in a culture addicted to more, we haven't define what enough looks like." "I feel like the richest person in the world, not because I earned so much, but because I need so little."
man that hit the spot... like one of those big bells they ring with the log...the best way to receive a message i think... heard in the background to the other sounds, but so unmistakable..that other talk with that church looking guy.. for your book launch... there was just so many bells going of in that one too.. they were all mic drop moments...blessings to you dear man
What a breath of fresh air and attitude you are to RUclips. You are so right about our "I have to's!" We will watch more of you and thanks for being there. My wife exclaimed "That man is CLEAN!" I conquer.
Wow, Timber. I am speechless after watching this! I love it! Thank you for giving us a glimpse into your life and for once again sharing your incredible and clearly truly genuine perspective and philosophy. I am just in awe of you and everything you are doing and represent. Looking forward to using my gratitude journal starting January 1st! Namaste and Happy New Year to you.
I absolutely love this video! Peace of mind is everything. I’ve been at such a crossroads as I am approaching my 30th birthday this year and my definition of happiness and success are shifting, prompting some major decisions about career and lifestyle. Thank you for sharing!
I agree so much with what you said. I’m trying to get my husband on board with the idea of tiny living. Men feel they can’t be proud of something that’s not grandiose but I’m like vacationing 10 times a year instead of once every 2 years is my idea of grandiose. Forget the big house. I don’t want to clean it.
Jaida 007, I wish you the best. You can do it. I did. I hit the same plateau at age 25...in the end, I walked away from the "career" I had chosen, then decided to get out of the full time rat race and the ever-growing effort and expense of "keeping up with the Joneses." Back then, I heard a great deal about the "mistake" I was making. The most difficult part is getting started! Now, I am over 50, have not worked a full time job since I was 25, and yet I still live a debt free life with plenty of savings to carry me through even a lack of part time work.
Wow, I can hear the gratitude in your voice. You are truly blessed. I’m on my own journey into becoming a minimalist. I find this process so fulfilling. My only regret at present is not doing it sooner. Your mind body and soul is free. I work like a dog and I’m surrounding by expensive meaningless crap that does bring me genuine joy. I have chosen to no longer be motivated by materialism and I’m not looking back.
Timber, you have hit the nail on the head. I am 46 and have searched for this lifestyle after realizing the "other" way is a burnout hi-way to selfishness. I have been living in my RV in Canada on and off for the last five years and honestly, I find it surreal. Dealing with the realities of nature is easier (sometimes) than dealing with some peoples warped perception of the reality you should be part of. I thank you for your video and insights but, mostly to have the courage to speak what is on the RV dwellers mind. Cheers and happy days ahead!
What you said toward the end of this video resonated with me. You said it perfectly brother. I'm on a path now to live more and not waste time working or should I say being at work doing pointless and unfulfilling work. I realized I'm most happy when I am home and able to do the things I want. We have one life, we have to live it on our terms, not how society thinks we should. I love the part where you said we won't know what's enough if we haven't defined what it is. Great video man!
This video brings joy and makes me hopeful that my dream of living in a camper in the woods is possible! Hearing and seeing other people doing just that, helps tremendously. With such a "crazy" idea, it's good to have others to learn from and listen to, and watch them succeed, and happily at that! Thanks!!
I love you❤️. Thank you 🙏 I live on 930. 00 a month in Ssi. And I feel like a failure sometimes ( even tho I know I’m really not) you just made me feel proud of who I am. And that I don’t have to care about the trappings of “ being rich”. Namaste
Not sure how your video was chosen as “recommended for you”, but thoroughly enjoyed it and your message. Yes to TEDtalks, RUclips, and Netflix; I got rid of mindless commercial TV years ago. If my wife were more accommodating I’d host you and like-minded travelers on my plot of land. I really like the share-culture. Best wishes.
Thanks, Timber - this is all great, but the tiny wash machine really helped! I bought one and now am getting so much joy from caring for my own clothes at home instead of spending $50-$75 per month at the laundro!
Dude I have no idea how I got here, BUT...your logic and the way you use your words really spoke to me. The way you put things in perspective is just amazing. The older I get, I crave simplicity, and slowly I’m getting there. This video was so inspirational and motivational for me and for that I SUBSCRIBED 👍 just awesome stuff👍
Gosh... you so hit the proverbial nail on the head. I lost my job and health care since May. My house goes on the market TONIGHT!! and I'm getting a small rv like yours. It is difficult to purge, but yet again it feels great! I'm looking forward to being debt free and seeing this country. Hoping to help where I can and learn something new every day. Love how you customized your rv.
Thank you for sharing your life, your philosophy, and your home with us! I am inspired. I too, own an RV and love living in it. It's a 30' Winnebago and have lived in it and worked remotely for over 5 years with my kitty, Lexi. Best to you!
You are such an inspiring person, you know that? The little bit at the end where it's just you talking about what is enough... That spoke to me. I needed to hear that. Thank you.
I just happened to click on your video and you have a new subscriber!! I've been following the tiny house movement and van conversion but your layout of your RV makes getting an RV seem like a great idea! I've been doing a lot of soul searching because I find myself exhausted chasing the rat race. I want freedom to roam and travel rather than stuck working my life away only to travel once I reach retirement. My motto is "the world is too big to stay in one spot" I can't wait to get things paid off and find my home on wheels to take me wherever my heart desires.
Awesome Video......I was a full time mother for over 40yrs, when I moved out of my 4 Bdrm home in 2016......I made up my mind then, I never want a 4Bdrm nothing, ever again!! I fell in love with Tiny House living in 2015 and in the 3 yrs since I have moved totally to less is more!! I felt a special liberation when I drove away from that house. I'm a traveler and have been living in Hotel rooms and studios and I love it!! You really only need 3 inside rooms, because there is a giant outside room that can be just as beautiful.
Inspirational! I see a light at the end of the tunnel. Frankly, I’m feeling stuck. My youngest is in college for two more years. I feel at that point I’ll be ready to release the rest of this “stuff” and find my minimalist path. I was bit by the minimalist bug more than a year ago and have been slowly letting go of things since. New rule is something new comes in, two things have to go out. It’s working. But looking forward to the next step. Not that I’m in a place to rightfully offer it, but my advice is to write down your plan to get there, look at it often and revise if necessary, and use it to inform each decision. Peace to everyone wherever you are on your journey.
Absolutely transformative! I might even be able to talk my wife into this -- she likes tiny houses, but this seems even more practical. Blessings to you!
Wow! This is fascinating. I heard a saying once, I don't remember where, "The secret to having what you want, is wanting what you have." This video really drives that message home.
I accidentally stumbled across your channel whilst watching the vanlifers I follow because I'm thinking of following that path when my lady child moved out of home. I follow you on Facebook but don't spend much time on it. I didn't realise you had a RUclips channel, how serendipitous that I found you here now I'm so excited to binge watch, lol. Everything you said in this video makes so much sense, thank you for being who you are, doing what you do ( instead of that office slave) and bringing the messages you do. I, as one of many, am exceedingly grateful. Blessings to you. Namastè 🙏
Thanks for Sharing your story Timber. Your happiness and honesty will hopefully allow many people to rediscover what "Happiness, Choice, Fulfillment" can be. It's not easy to change a lifestyle, but redefining self, thoughts, identify and creating movement and/or action is easy once you take the first step. The idea of having less "things" allows one to "have more". Enjoy your day and thank you for sharing 18 quality minutes with the world! namaste
This is the first time of me ever watching you, and I totally agree with everything you said. My husband and I are in the process of living the same lifestyle as you. My whole motto is: We weren't born to just pay bills and die . . . There's more to life than "stuff". Thanks for this video. I'm glad I found you. :)
Thank you I share the same values I'm a minimalist only one in my family the rest think I'm. Crazy they drive Mercedes and have rent a lot of bills buy expensive stuff credit cards etc. I will never live like that again ever I am happy living tiny waiting for my disability so I can find my tiny home it's been rough but it will al work out , you have helped I enjoy your channel it's what I believe in always namaste.
Thank you for sharing your life with us. Hard to train the mind to accept the TRUE difference between the definition of the words "need" and "want". With all the outside influences of advertising and peers telling you you're not "successful" unless you own your own home and not rent... drive a luxury car... etc. Less is more. Thank you!!!
Notario cadí , job ah
Wow Awesome! Didn't know if people think like me
You choose to become a minimalist
Well done!
The best one
I've been fulltime rv living for 6 years and it was the best decision I've ever made. I'm a single dad and raised my son on my own. He's loved it as well, it's like camping every night. He graduates high school soon and he'll be taking my RV to live in while he goes to college. As for me, I'm going to do the vanlife. To say I'm excited is an understatement.
Nice dude, sounds like the dream 🤘
“Working part time to live full-time.” that’s a brilliant thought! How sad is it that we work full-time to live part-time.
That's pretty much what Buddhist Boot Camp is about: living in gratitude full-time, redefining "enough" so we experience the world from the perspective of abundance instead of lack, and bringing mindfulness to the present moment instead of being stuck in the past or having anxiety about the future. :)
It is very sad...
👏👏👏
yes very sad. but worst than that is that we are thankfull that we can!
I know we missing out of better things.
“If you haven’t defined what enough looks like then you’ll never have it. “ amazing words
Congrats,Rebecca. If only my hubby could get the vision. It breaks me to think of sitting in this house until I die.💔
What a beautiful thought and beautiful people !! I whole heartedly wish you the very best :) enjoy your FREEDOM
Wonderful :)
Awesome right now i own a tiny house and keep everything simple.
Rock on 👍
Two years ago i built a van and went cross country and loved it, now i have a 40 foot diesel pusher and getting ready to hit the road in January by myself, wife is not going with me, i seem to travel better by myself, less stress and only have myself to worry about.
Thank you. :)
You should be proud!
Hell yeah, i'm going to live in a motor home.
Ha ha, I did the same thing... !!! I freaking LOVE it...…
J Wilber I am single mother of 3 kids I paying rent of 2000 monthly and I moving to get RV in California but can’t find best RV for kids some recommendation guys
This guy is incredible. He is truly living his talk, he is living in authenticity, while being at service. This is living, thank you.
Amen, brother. Here's to happiness :)
Welcome to the world of the enlightened.
Cheers.
David Doder thanks for your comment! It was beautiful to read. I wish you and your wife all the best in your "new life" :)
Be happy
Though I really am not looking at living in an rv, I am always downsizing my "stuff" and realizing how little I actually need!
I went down to a 2 day , work week after cutting my expenses and everyone taught I had some big wind fall also.
@@thesilverenchantment9227😂❤
“It’s enough”. My thoughts exactly. Love it. What matters most when you live this lifestyle, is being organized and having a game plan.
I watch this so regularly to keep me on track. I love your message ❤️
That mini washer is very cool
i thought the same exact thing 😀
Yes. I had never seen one before!
Yeah it is never knew about it
I have one called a Kuppet. Same thing, but also has a small separate spin dryer that get clothes damp dry. Hang dry in a very short time.
Much better than others
This makes so much sense. I am working 50-55 hours a week. I haven’t had a vacation in 15 years. This sounds so appealing.
Out of all the camper videos that I've binge watched, you've brought a refreshing alternative reality to it all. Your story had such a wonderful and calming delivery and your happiness is infectious :). Thank you
That's what enlightened looks like folks. Bravo. I'm striving to achieve this.
I love this so much,I have a studio and love it but people are always telling me why don't I get a bigger place when I don't want one, I stopped eating meat now I'm working on paring my stuff down, this was really nice to see.
know thy self me and my boyfriend live in a studio too and we love it
A studio was my first apt and I love it. They can keep that life
We need to get the notion out our heads that we must have all the latest gadgets and wear brand name clothes.
I too have went without meat. Vegan for 10 days so far. My skin looks so good already.
We're also nomads. : )
A Nomad for Nature A
Awesome love your pawsitivity
Namaste.
That's great to hear! best wishes.
Thank you
Me too.
Me as well
Wow, one of the best minimalist videos I have seen.
2 more years!
Your calmness and clarity are apparent....and inviting.
Star Gazer BEAUTIFULLY written / phrased.. Star Gazer.
Came to see what it was like to live in an RV, walked away with a spiritual life lesson, Thanks!
Rythblaqk very well put!!! :-)
Same here
"Live full time work part time" that is so true!!!
I feel so blessed and thank you very much for the sharing you do and yes to your choices and how you listened to your heart. thank you
Started with me searching for RV videos, ending up learning how to be make my life better.
Sounds like a win-win, brother. Namaste.
I was thinking about a tiny house, but that RV looks awesome. That's all I would need.
I love every part of this, especially how neat and tidy it all is, it makes it feel more spacious how clean and open it is!
Thanks for sharing! What do you mean by a cubicle?
Nancy Gerick A cubicle is the area your desk is in at an office.
Go girl! All of our younger generation should start doing the same thing until they run out of solution.
Kimberly Bullock my 5 year anniversary was in November 2018 I feel the call of the road
You are right. Reprogramming is currently underway. I am changing my career path to include my retirement now instead of waiting until retirement age.
I just watched this video, I have never heard of you before this. I went straight to Audible and bought your book, and your lifestyle is amazing to see. How you live and who you are speaks to a deep part of my heart, so thank you so much for you inspiration and pure message.
My rent is 1840 and it's affecting my marriage because I'm the only provider. It's hard. I just got an RV after seeing your video.
Good for you!
@Experimental Channel yes! By all means
Blackworld official ... I live in NYC. My rent is $2400. I’m honestly losing my mind. I’m slaving hard and I’m only making enough to pay the bills.
Just a thought, until you are sure the life is for you .
u gave me a create lesson today, i will start working on myself from now on to stop running after money like i always do.
thank you
I agree with you 100% and I am longing for this lifestyle and have been for a few years.
You are such a beautiful soul. I am so glad the universe put your video on my path.
What a unique video. Learning about the BaseCamp washing machine alone made it worthwhile.
Wow, just landed here. Really what I've been looking for. You just mixed practical Rving tips with philosophy and motivation. Thank You!
"We live in a culture addicted to more, we haven't define what enough looks like."
"I feel like the richest person in the world, not because I earned so much, but because I need so little."
I have everything I need, I have 5 gray tshirts,, lol now that's minimalistic
man that hit the spot... like one of those big bells they ring with the log...the best way to receive a message i think... heard in the background to the other sounds, but so unmistakable..that other talk with that church looking guy.. for your book launch... there was just so many bells going of in that one too.. they were all mic drop moments...blessings to you dear man
What a breath of fresh air and attitude you are to RUclips.
Yup.. that's why I always say, if it costs you your inner peace, it's too expensive :)
You have inspired me in such a way that I cannot even put into words. Just: THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
Thank you for you powerful word. What torched me most was your statement about being rich in happiness.
Definition of success = look at what society is doing and do the opposite. You've done that. Congratulations Happy Soul!
Thank you 🙏
I live on 930. 00 a month in Ssi.
Yeah I hate going to the laundry mat, think I might get one of those washing machines also.
Dude! You are rocking the shit out off life!!! Rock on!! Love your stuff!!!
You are such an inspiring person, you know that? The little bit at the end where it's just you talking about what is enough... That spoke to me.
I needed to hear that. Thank you.
Voice for relaxing)))
This video is so helpful. I love this guy's authenticity and the happiness he conveys.
I heard a saying once, I don't remember where,
"The secret to having what you want, is wanting what you have."
This video really drives that message home.
I like that one!
Agree,thats a good one!
Enjoy your day and thank you for sharing 18 quality minutes with the world! namaste
Love your tiny home!! Your calm and gentle way eased my anxiety!!! Thank you!😊
This is the first time of me ever watching you, and I totally agree with everything you said.
