That shower/bathroom idea is ingenious! Most vans I’ve seen don’t have a shower area (or it takes up too much space), but I like that she can bring it down and it also functions as her kitchen countertop. Not to mention how artistic and cozy her van/home feels! Great job Clare! 👏
Absolutely agree, this is the first van conversion I've seen that I would actually really WANT to spend a lot of time in, though the toilet being where it is, while clever, is a bit off for me personally. (Not that I can think of anywhere else to put it!)
Honestly this is the most beautiful van I’ve seen.. I mean imagine parking in a forest in autumn or maybe a somewhere with a beautiful view .. and as soon as you wake up in this van you would feel like your in some kind of other dimention like narnia.. so magical

The only way a van has soul is because you impart some of yours into the it. Yes, you can have crafters help you with building skills you may not have. But it needs to be a part of you. Someone else can't make it for you.
@@leonross5663 You mentioned 70K as being a problem, and nothing else. Hard to read much into that minimalist comment other than you didn't like the price point. My point was that for a pittance compared to her prior expenses of owning a home, she's living her best life. More power to her; we should all be so happy with what we've got. Peace.
I absolutely love her van! I'm 70 and just started my van life...on my way to Arizona now. While I love my van (bought used) hers is so beautiful and cozy with all the wood. And what a great idea having the inner doors behind the sliding door!
Oh Christine, I wish you the best of luck living in your van. I love people like you or Clara. I love how muchpeace and positive energy people like you give to the world. If only the whole world was so peaceful and positive.

It seems to me that when you have limited space, you realise what is really matters to you, and you gain a greater understanding of how you work and what you actually need. Clare and her van are a living illustration of this - inspiring.
I was homeless and bought a 5th wheel camper when I won my disability case. I`ve bought redundant solar power for individual items. My chest freezer has two 700 watt power stations rated at 2500 charge cycles to 80% remaining capacity each. They can be recharged in 3 1/2 to 5 hours by solar. I have two 500 watt power stations for my dorm fridge. I have one each for two 12 volt cookers, and several more small ones for lights, small fans, and WIFI. I just bought a 300 amp hour battery rated at 4000 to 8000 charge cycles for my tiny window air conditioner, supplemental heat, cooking, or distilling water off grid. I need a few more extra parts like fuses and a ground rod to safely use it as a solar system but I`m slowly getting it all. Right now I can charge it from my other power stations in a pinch or from grid power before a storm and can probably safely charge it from solar then disconnect it and connect my 2000 watt AC inverter. I`m just being very careful. I spent the last of my savings on it.
@@joanhughes7742 Now after I`ve set my camper up, put a 4500 dollar roof over it, had water, sewer, and electricity connected...the phone company tells me they can`t install service to a camper trailer. I`m disabled, no transportation, and a phone and internet are required to even survive. The Americans With Disabilities Act says it`s against Federal law to deny a disabled person access to telecommunications if it`s possible to provide them. This is how the state of Louisiana has ALWAYS treated me and the reason I`ve attempted suicide in the past. And they WONDER why people have complete mental breakdowns. I wish I had transportation right now. I want to meet the rude jerk my sister spoke to.

The only caution I’d give her about her crystals and hanging magnifying glasses 🔍 is that if sunlight beams on them for any length of time they could spark a fire 🔥 (this almost happened to me in my house with a magnifying vanity mirror with morning sun through a bedroom window. Luckily I happened to look in that direction just as the first curl of smoke began... my guardian angel was definitely looking out for me that day! 😇)

I love, love, love the bathroom! The whole time I was thinking that perhaps she has an outiside commode and shower. But when she lifted her cook bench, I was floored! This mouse house is amazing! Way to go Clare
Jordan, you've come up with something really special here, thank you so much. I'm doing a similar thing to Clare but with less resources and it can still work, just not as easy. Her bathroom is by far away the best solution I've ever seen, and it's now in my notebook of ideas.
The bathroom is truly innovative. I've never seen anything quite like it! It's unique and useful and beautiful too. Her setup is among the best I've seen. Artist life! Thanks for sharing this with us; I'm inspired.
This is the most homey van build I’ve ever seen of hundreds & hundreds! She could have a great side hustle consultant to van builds! Great vid. Thanks 😊
If lockdown has taught me anything, its that I liked living a much simpler and quiet life. I can see the attraction of having a van and living a simpler less consumer oriented life. Clares van is lovely.
This is my favourite van yet. Love the idea of entering a “real”wood door. Such excellent ideas. She has all. her needs fulfilled. Nothing wasted. Her fridge is also her lounge; the extra counter space converts to her bathroom complete with a shower. She even has a real stove with an oven. I could live in this if I was just me. @whaszis I tried to look up “eaning” and at best it means something about giving birth to lambs? So that’s confusing. Way to criticise one typo with two of your own. That’s pure gold, my friend.
I think I have seen just about every type of alternative living video there is. But this van conversion is amazing. Every detail was so well thought out and the end result is stunning. Plus the lady who designed and lives in this van seems to be so sweet. I wish she was my neighbor!

That shower/bathroom idea is ingenious! Most vans I’ve seen don’t have a shower area (or it takes up too much space), but I like that she can bring it down and it also functions as her kitchen countertop. Not to mention how artistic and cozy her van/home feels! Great job Clare! 👏

She needs to design these for a living! This van is so beautiful so much soul, every little thing thought out. Absolutely smart, and lovely.
The only way a van has soul is because you impart some of yours into the it. Yes, you can have crafters help you with building skills you may not have. But it needs to be a part of you. Someone else can't make it for you.
