I Made this today. 💌 I decided to plan ahead of time for soups. The side dish with the kelp was 💕💕💕 GREAT.
Thanks for all your wonderful instructions❤
Sounds great!
Thank you for all your nice messages and comments.
I didn't mean for this video to be a 15th Anniversary video but I'm happy to hear from all my longtime subscribers and from those of you who have made my recipes over the years. Happy cooking!
15 years and you haven't aged a day. I got to eat more Korean food. That has to be the secret! Much love from Dixie!
Thank you so much for helping me figure out what to make for dinner! I have been to a Korean restaurant and I must say I compared the food I made following your wonderful recipes and restaurants were both good!! I all tried blood sausage, and intestines tasty! I know I could not ever make sausage or intestines but know where I can go out for nice dinner. No cooking or dishes!! Thank you so much again for your recipes! You have also helped me make it through COVID! 15 yrs gone by too fast! Stay safe and healthy
♡♡♡♡
We love you. Thank you sooo much, Maangchi.

Congratulations on 15 years of teaching the whole planet how to create pure deliciousness! I've been following you since late 2015, and I'll keep it up as long as I breathe. You're amazing, that's just a fact! ❤
When I read "special message" I nearly had a panic attack thinking Maangchi was going to stop making videos or something. I'm glad I was wrong!
Me, too! I thought she was leaving us... thank goodness she's staying right here!
Same. Like AJUMMA! PLEASE don't scare like that!
Me too!
Me too!
Me too!! I was so scared. I couldn't handle watching the video so I was scanning the comments for info. Thank you for saying something. Totally saved me. Thanks!
My mum is adopted from Korea, and while both she and I have a Swedish upbringing, Swedish citizenship and consider ourselves Swedish, we obviously feel connected to Korea still. Eating Korean food (I visited in 2017) stirs something innate in me, and so whenever I want to feel that connection, I go to your recipes, Maangchi. Whether it's for traditional side dishes for when I'm introducing friends to the wonder of Korean BBQ, or if I'm craving modern KFC (Korean, not Kentucky-an, of course), you are always a reliable source! Thank you for your 15 years on RUclips!
Congratulations on 15 years of sharing your talent and recipes to the world Maangchi!! Your effort is very much appreciated! I love your personality and all of your recipes are amazing!
Maangchi. I am adopted and decided over a decade ago I wanted to connect more with my Korean heritage and found your channel when I had no one else to teach me how to make Korean dishes. Now I am able to connect to my roots and share a piece of my culture with other people. Thank you!!!
I think I have watched you for about 10 years now, since I left college and really started to appreciate korean culture outside of just KPop. I found your channel first for pajeon! When you were still using the old camera in the old kitchen and no big bows in your hair! haha! But I loved that you made the recipe easy and showed all the steps for real for real so I could follow.
For a long time after, I made pajeon for many people and everyone I showed it to love it. Then I made your galbi, bulgogi, beef & radish soup and of course..Kimchi! I own both big cookbooks AND one of your self-published ones too! I don't cook as much as I'd like to but I am always planning to make soups and stews for winter time at lunch or kimchi pork buns. You have really helped me love Korea more and more and I'm glad you're still showing us all the different recipes either from your childhood or that you came up with only today!
Oh, wow! Thank you so much for liking my recipes and leaving such a nice message here! It makes my heart warm this morning! It sounds like you are very good at Korean cooking now. Love you!❤️
Hello, Maangchi. I teach English as a second language in Peru. And in many of my classes I recommend your videos as a way to practice my students' listening skills and also to learn about Korean culture. Thank you for your videos❤️
I'm tearing up when you're about to, thanks for the 15 years with us! 🤍🤍🤍
Thanks a lot!
15년 동안 정말 열심히 그리고 꾸준히 해오신 것이 대단하고 존경스럽습니다. 그리고 항상 좋은 레시피 감사드립니다!!👏🏻🙏🏻
I've been following you for maybe three years or so. I've learnt a lot about Korean cuisine and Korean culture. Me and my bf enjoyed making kimchi, bokkeumbap, bibimbap, japchae and so much more... But specially, we've enjoyed what a kind and lovely human being you are. Happy 15 years, Maangchi! Hope there will be many more.
I make your spicy cucumber recipe every other week. My husband absolutely loves it. (We omit the onion). The first time I made it for him he wanted to know where I got the recipe because it was so good. I told him, “This adorable woman named Maangchi! She’s the best!” He agrees!
: )
I am so proud and happy to be part of this community! Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart 💖 for so many years of wonderful knowledge.
I have been watching you since I was 13 I am 25 this year and it makes me so happy to see you succeed and see this channel grow.
I wanted to share a story… I discovered Maanchi when I was hunting for a nice recipe for Chicken Buldak some years ago. I am originally from Nepal so me and my mum together cooked this delicious dish following your recipe. It’s been 5-6 years ever since… and I now am in the USA pursuing my Biochemistry degree (far away from home) and every time I cook Buldak I think of my mum back home and that sweet memory I shared with her. And all this is because of you! I always look forward to your new recipes and similarly how you never get tired of making new videos, I never get tired of watching them.
Congratulations Maangchi! You really have showcased immense love and passion for cooking all these years and you still have that evergreen smile and burning passion. I hope to meet you one day and have a nice meal with you and thank you for all your recipes and memories I made with my family.
Thank you for sharing the story!
You Started my whole journey into Korean Culture and Food. I deeply appreciate you and all your kind efforts.
Very happy to have found you 12 or so years ago. You really ignited my interest in Korean cuisine and I have been following your recipes ever since. Thank you very much from Germany ☺️
What an incredible journey you've been on, Maangchi - thank you for taking us along with you! I've loved learning more about Korean food and culture through you. You inspired me to learn how to read Korean as well, and your recipes are always my first port of call for anything relating to this marvelous cuisine. More power to you!
Congratulations on 15 years of teaching us how to prepare your foolproof Korean recipes! I love every one of your recipes that I have ever tried!
This is so sweet, congratulations to you, Maangchi, and all the subscribers, it’s our lucky day! I remember my first of your recipes here on RUclips I was looking for seaweed food as my companions and I were harvesting and processing local sea vegetables here in Mendocino, California. Then my daughter returned home and announced her love of Korean food, so we’ve been your fans and pupils for a long time. Now we’ve got a Korean radish in the refrigerator, I am happy to see what can be done with it.
How time flies! I've been a fan from the veeeery beginning and will continue to cheer her on with every milestone. Even though I've never tasted Maangchi's cooking in person her recipes are part of my life!
Yes, I've never seen you face to face but I feel like you are my long time friend, James!
Congratulations Maangchi for 15 years of sharing your exuberant energy and for such great recipes. I have been following you for about 6 years now. Before following you, Korean food was a total mystery to me. Since following you, watching and learning about Korean cuisine, I am happy to say I can confidently shop in a Korean grocery store. I like the simplicity of Korean cuisine, not to mention the motivation to eat more vegetables as side dishes. I have made some dishes and hope to make more. I am very grateful to you Maangchi. Wish you all the best and I hope you will keep inspiring us for a very long time to come. Thank you!
Thank you so much Mangchi! 15 years later, you are still as kind and willing to share as you were when you just started! Thank you for everything you do
Yes, I've been watching Maangchi's videos ever since her channel was still new. I remember at the time there weren't any other Korean cooking channels on RUclips and I was so happy and thankful for Maangchi.
Congratulations on 15 years of recipes, and many more to come! You've de-mystified Korean cooking for me, and many of the dishes you cooked have become staples in my own kitchen. Thank you Maangchi!
I’ve been watching you for 13 years and I just love you so much. Thank you for all the amazing recipes. I even made your dwaejibulgogi tonight. You have stayed true to who you are the entire time I have watched you and I just love you so much for that.
Congratulations on 15 years! Thank you for sharing all of this time and all of this knowledge and love of food with all of us! (Also, thank you for sharing the lovely scenery with us!) here is to at least 15 more years! 🥂
It’s fascinating to think about how long your videos have been apart of my life. Thanks for all you’ve done so far!!
Im so grateful that you have chosen to share your recipes for 15 years now! Such an incredible journey. Im so honored and glad to have shred it with you and the rest of your fans as well.
Maangchi, I'm Korean American and grew up eating Korean food and cooking some dishes. But you really taught me how to cook anything and everything! And I have other Korean friends who said the same.Thank you!!!
I started watching you about 6 years ago. Your videos helped me be less scared of Korean food because everything I had seen up to that point had been crazy spicy and I was a wimp with spice. Less of a wimp now and I'm obsessed with your recipes! They are so easy and so delicious!
Thanks for the Korean cooking videos! I feel like I learn so much from watching your process. Glad you're still able to have fun making recipes 15 years later.
The best Korean cook ever! Thank you very much Maangchi, regards from Argentina.
Maangchi, thank you for your 15 yrs. of generously sharing the happiness of cooking! ❤❤❤
Maangchi omg .. yes ... I have been following your channel since I was in high school and I am graduating uni thid year. I have made radish kimchi so many time as other Korean ingredients are unavailable in my small country of Trinidad and Tobago. Lots of love Maangchi. Everyone in my household loves your recipes. Cant wait for more videos!!!! 🥰❤🥂
I learned so much from this channel, not just about Korean cooking, but about cooking in general! What I love about Korean food as a vegetarian is how every ingredient is treated with respect and even the most humble vegetable can be the star of a dish. I feel I can make anything delicious with what I learned from Maangchi.
Oh my goodness congratulations Maangchi! 15 years of sharing delicious recipes and bringing so much joy to so many! On Friday I made Hoddeok - both the cheese and brown sugar & cinnamon- for my family and they loved it! 💙 thank you for everything 🌸
멸치 육수 만들어서 음식 할때 마다 넣으면 진짜 맛있죠👍🏻👍🏻😍
Thank you for 15 years of delicious food and amazing recipes! I found you in 2008 and have been making you dishes since then! Ttedokbi, Korean Fried Chicken (and Tofu) and Kimchi are key parts of our regular meal rotation!
Wishing you many continued years of success!
Congratulations on 15 years maangchi, I have been following you and making your recipes for 4 years now, adapted it to the ingredients I could find in my country and everyone always says it’s delicious! Thank you I wish one day I can buy one of your cookbooks 💕
Thank you for 15 years of great videos! I think I started watching your channel about four years ago because I wanted to learn about the delicious looking food I saw in kdramas and kpop shows. You’ve taught me so much and opened a whole new world of flavors I now love.
My second mom for so so many years! Thank you for all you do Maangchi!
Congratulations on 15 years! Thank you for 12 years of education, amazing meals, and such a positive voice in my life -- even from a distance! You've been a bright light in countless lived and kitchens. So much love to you!
Thank you for 15 years of amazing content! Kimchi-jjigae has been a weeknight staple of mine for years, but I've always just used veggie bouillon and fish sauce for the broth. You've convinced me to go to H Mart and pick up ingredients to start making my own stock. Your positivity and enthusiasm is contagious!
Wow, it’s been 15 years now. Yes, I tell my friends who’s recipes I used and tell them your name and to go to RUclips to watch you 😊.
I know I have been following Maangchi for many many years! My first Kimchi was from her recipe, and I found a picture of it dating 8 or 9 years ago. I can't believe how long it has been. Thank you so much Maangchi for being the best teacher for Korean cooking that there is.
Wow!! 15 years is incredible! I remember I started following you in 2009 when I moved to a city with no Korean food! I had to learn to cook it myself if I wanted to satisfy a craving. My favourite is Deonjang jigae! I will definitely start heating my anchovies for the stock now. Thank you so much for all your recipes and videos, I have learn so much from you over the years 😘
I’m glad someone finally made a video about how to make this stocks! People would always made recipe with kelp or anchovy stocks but never teached how to make em in the first place! 😂 as a cooking newbie this is a Godsent!
Thanks for the expedited and updated anchovy kelp stock! I've been making my own stock from your second cookbook recipe since it came out, but I'm excited to try the new and improved version. Thank you for all your recipes and congrats on 15 years! I'm so happy to have found your channel/recipes, and I have been steadily improving my korean cooking for the last 4 years
👍 : )
I've been a fan of yours for so long too! My dad and I love watching your videos and he often laughs and says how cheerful you are, makes the videos more interesting and fun to watch. My favorite recipes to make are the 닭강정 (from 8 years ago) and 두부강정 (1 year ago). Everybody loves the food when I cook your recipes. Some picky eaters in my family and extended family even love eating tofu now because i kept making and sharing your tofu recipes whereas before they didn't eat tofu at all. Thank you for all your hard work! I hope you stay happy and healthy in 2022 and the following years :)
Congratulations Maangchi on 15 years of great work! Your beautiful spirit and wonderful food are always an inspiration. I will continue to watch and learn from your great videos for many more years. Much love from Sydney xx
I'm not sure how long I have been a subscriber to your channel but, I have fallen in love with Korean cooking and the beautiful culture that you have shared with us for 15 wonderful years! Thank you so much for all of your delicious recipes and for the heart warming stories that sometimes go with them. To many more years and many more yummy recipes!!! Bye bye!!
Je regarde maangchi depuis 4 ou 5 ans.
C’est totalement grâce à elle que maintenant, je fais mon propre kimchi et que mes proches en redemandent ! Merci infiniment Maangchi !
Let’s take a moment to appreciate the background of Maagnchi’s kitchen which is beautifully decorated with dark PURPLE flowers & tomatoes 🍅
Delicious anchovy and kelp broth is the best 👍 I enjoyed the delicious recipes ^^❤
Congrats on 15 years and many more to come! I enjoy your videos and mini stories very much.
Thank you for all your years of teaching us about Korean food Maangchi! I have always enjoyed learning and trying out some of your recipes. It's been so good as there are no Korean restaurants near me so you have enriched my eating-life greatly ❤
When I first saw your videos about 10 years ago, I was so happy to see all of your recipes! I love Korean food and living in a small town in California I didn't get to eat it often. You gave me that gift with your lovely video's, cookbooks and your amazing happiness with life and sharing good food! Thank you dear lady for being such a bright light in an often dark world. Here is to another 15 years of wonderful YOU! 💜💜💜💜💜💜
Congratulations! I followed you since 2015. Now, I cook Korean food every other day and make my own kimchi.
Congratulations on 15 years of bringing us all joy and tastiness!
Congratulations on 15 years, Maangchi! Honestly, your videos have made me a better cook even when I'm not using your recipes or cooking Korean foods. I've learned knife skills, cleaning skills, and how to season dishes from you. You're a great teacher and I hope you keep it up for as long as it makes you happy! :)
Thank you Maangchi for the years of good food, laughs, and comfort! I made your egg bread recipe just this morning, my sister asked who made the recipe and I said, "Maangchi":) Can't wait to make more Korean food with you!
Wishing you another wonderful 15 years! Thank you for all of the time and hard work you have invested to share your love of Korean food! I have been following since 2018 and always give you credit, by name, whenever I receive compliments on my Korean dishes! Many times the response is, "Oh, Maangchi! I know her", lol! I talk about you so much that my daughter gifted me one of your cookbooks for Mother's Day and I was so excited! I have been a cancer patient since 2018 and found you as I searched for healthier ways to eat, and you have certainly done that! Much love 💗 and thanks to you, Maangchi!
I’ve been watching you and learning for 11 years now I think, you’ve taught me so much and your videos are always a happy place for me. Thanks so much, Maangchi!
Happy 15th year anniversary. Plz don’t stop posting videos, your are one of the only ones that bring smiles and positivity to Korean cuisines. I try to follow people on TikTok but there so much fighting and arguments about Korean food it’s ridiculous
I've been subscribed for a very long time myself. I'm from South Africa and I really love you. I always come back to see what is next on your videos and my brother also loves your videos. That you so much for the content Maangchi, you are a beautiful person and a great cook.
Thank you so much for teaching me delicious recipes. The first recipe you taught me was your dumplings that you freeze and can eat at any convenience. I have made thousands over the years and everyone loves them. They help me stay healthy. I have your kimchi in my fridge always as well. Thank you for the many amazing recipes ❤️❤️❤️❤️
It sounds like my very old mandu (dumplings) recipe because I showed how to freeze them. Awesome!
I’ve learned so many dependable recipes from you over the years. I’ve never once had a recipe flop. Thank you so much for your hard work over the years, here’s to many more 🥳

👍
My darling girl, we do so much appreciate your precious time and fabulous recipes. It is no wonder you have been here for 15 years, and I sure hope you will be cooking for us for a long time. Love you so much. Sherie Rodrigues from Australia
I'm in my 40s, JUST discovered your amazing channel, books, & site, and you are teaching me absolutely everything i need to know to make every delicious Korean dish I love at home. It's such a relief to find someone willing to really *teach* these kind of skills in a way that builds confidence and excitement for everyone, instead of empty 'entertainment' that only looks good. Your videos are gorgeous, you are gorgeous, and every recipe I've made turns out PERFECT. Your skill to educate is awe-inspiring, and I've been sending photos & blabbing about it to everyone from my friends, to my own mom 😂 What a priceless resource! I cannot thank you enough
Thank you so much for your nice words and welcome to my cooking channel! I'm sure you will make so many delicious Korean dishes!
Thank you for 15 years of delicious recipes, Maangchi! You make it so easy to learn and your personality is pleasant and encouraging. Hoping to learn from you for many more. My friend introduced me to your channel at least 7 years ago, and it inspired us to broaden our palates further. Although we weren't strangers to Asian cuisine, much of it is Americanized, so it's nice to see how recipes are traditionally made. Wishing you all the best because you deserve it!
