Well, the only thing where it's really boring is I was used to sing my guitar solos at the same time I was improvising 'em... It was also sometimes funny, e.g. the young guitarist that got me the ticket for the Satriani's concert thought I didn't knew Satch's stuff... He was stunned when I sang Surfing the Alien and Satch Boogie in his ear at the same time Joe was playing it...
But, as a singer, my former very high head voice was simply REALLY HORRIBLE, even according to black metal's "standards"🤣🤣🤣🤣 (which I do not condone! My views on any cult are rather similar to Frank Zappa's or Lemmy's)...
The good sides are :
- my voice deepened and this was greatly appreciated by women...
- I could already growl with a voice between Gene Simons and Lemmy, now I can really go lyrical with classical baryton voice and even a bit lower, e.g. a very good portion of Barry White, as long as he's not showing how low he can go on some rare occasions... The only time I could get that low were times of serious flu or bronchitis 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Some hi-school buddies that were here at the same time told me about the militaries chatting about me and they never had seen someone like this. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 C'mon, hippies are way too dangerous for the military! Saw this amazing band in Detroit, about 1977. Absolutely amazing experience. Somehow ended up down in the parking garage (?) area as they were just finishing up their encores... Three or four long white limos running, waiting to whisk the band away to safety. Ran up to the 1st or 2nd limo in the line... came face to face with Chris Squire... Geddy is a wise man...he choose a neutral Jazz Bass. A neutral axe is especially significant for saying he is not imitating Chris, but neither being the bass player of Rush. Respect.

R.I.P. Mr. White
Geddy Lee is the perfect stand in for this iconic piece. Some really great moments with him and Wakeman lighting the stage on fire.
And it still holds up just great in 2022!
Great remaster. They still sound incredible, even if Steve Howe looks like he has one foot in heaven!
Thank you for your comment!
You migth say he's on Heaven's door
"Original audio suffered from low volume and severe data compression artifacts which I could not remove completely" - you did an amazing job, looks and sounds great! I have been in love with this band for the last 40 or so years, and so good to see Geddy with them, an amazing and absolutely fitting tribute to Chris in every way
Thanks a lot for your kind words, Steve! Glad you enjoyed the video!
What a SYMPHONY OF SOUNDS!!!!!!!!!!!!! CLOSE TO THE EDGE had to be my favorite vinyl back in high school! 1:16 Geddy Lee (RUSH) still rockin'! True artistry! Kiddos of the 2020s, this is what REAL MUSIC is all about. What a PERFORMANCE!
no one could've played the bass for this except Geddy. Absolutely nailed it PLUS his signature tone just cut through!!
Geddi , what a tribute to Squire. Spotlessly representing style, tone, energy. My favorite part. I couldn't take my eyes off him. Awesome.
Can you imagine how thrilling that must have been for Geddy to be in the presence of the royalty of rock that is Yes?, it must of been the opportunity of a lifetime!
I mean, Rush and Yes are both rock legends, so I imagine it is a mutual reverence they have at this point.
@@stickboy2672 I agree. It's not like Geddy is an unknown noob.
@@stickboy2672 Yes, but Yes were already out there and famous before Rush, and Geddy admired them, so despite how famous Geddy is, it would still be playing with his heros.
Geddy Lee is rock royalty...more so than Yes.
