To me Michael bay movies really capture what g1 was about: random weird annoying characters, a war that doesn't make sense, extremely random plot lines, cardboard characters. Which makes me question if g1 fans really knew what g1 was when they praised the generic bumblebee Movie.
Dee Knoll G1 has a charm to it that is hard to put into words. It was very goofy but also still like able because it didn’t take its self too seriously while at the same time making s3xual jokes (unlike the bay movies). I don’t know, a large part of it could also be nostalgia who knows how people will view the bay movies in 10-20 years when the kids who grew up watching them are in their 30’s.

This was by far my favorite design of Michael Bay Megatron. I love the way his tusks turn into his mask and just the general Knight design. Just wish they did the same cybertronian robot design for the dragon instead of the mass of metal shards they went with.
UniqueToys AoE/TLK Optimus Prime is movie model-accurate and so is UniqueToys TLK Megatron. TakaraTomy and UniqueToys need to join forces and help produce better versions of Masterpiece Transformers figures.
