fab choice, Gallardo is an absolute classic that everyone wanted and still has that beautiful v10 sound, although I prefer the superlegga version which has only a few hundred made
every car guy should all feel the same emotion. seeing the huge smile on his face through the tunnel, with that glorious V10 engine revving away, just makes you smile by watching it from behind the screen. its an emotion that only car guys will understand.
I'd love to see a RUclipsr like yourself get some great classics....much more interesting than many modern supercars. The styling has aged so well, yes it's blocky and wedge shaped, but then so is the first Golf GTI and that's sooo much prettier than any modern Golf! A few like your friend's Murci ...which is gorgeous! Love it!!!

The first car I ever drove was a 2006 Gallardo coupe on a race track when I was 14. So the Gallardo has a special place in my heart. And still the coolest car I've been in, and that was 8 years ago now
I drove a Gallardo Spyder on track and it's to this day the most powerful car I've ever driven. I just remembered the G forces upon acceleration pulling my cheeks towards the back of my head!

Over the years we have done on and off; more recently a few times though as time has been available to get those sound clips - some cars you just have to do it! The 12Cilindri and McLaren F1 GTR were some other obvious examples.
I love the idea of buying the cars that have some significance to where we got our love of cars from. I even managed to do it myself in April of this year buying an S2000 which I have loved since I was a kid (I’m in my 20’s now) because the first episode of Top Gear I saw was the S2K vs Z4 vs Cayman and I’ve always wanted one. If I do sell it, my other all time love is a V8 Vantage

My dream car was always the pre LP 5.0 with the gated manual, they are still well priced for what they are, really hoping to be fortunate enough to get one before they shoot up in price in a few years, just need to start making money..
I have a soft spot for the Gallardo as well.. however for your channel, if you do a Gallardo, it should be a special edition or you should at least do a “build series” for proper refresh/upgrades/mods to make it more fun for 2024! 🎉
Gallardos are so slept on these days. There’s so many fantastic variants out there. It’s amazing how they went from being everywhere to even being a rare sight at car events now that Huracans have been around for so long. Would love to have a Gallardo myself someday

The Gallardo is one of my all-time favorite cars. It's my favorite Lamborghini. I just wish I was rich so I could buy one, maybe some day I can rent one somewhere so I can at least experience driving one. For me, the pre face-lift blue coupe with the gated manual is the perfect one.
These Pre-LP Gallardos are a fantastic choice. You get that gorgeous even-firing 5.0L V10 and if you’re even luckier to get a manual one, it’s a perfect mixture! There’s one for sale near me in a gorgeous metallic red, tan interior, and I think it’s a manual car. It’s my dream Gallardo!
you cant go wrong with a gallardo...it was the absolute rental queen on any exotic rental lot until the huracan came out...i learn to drive exotics on those...its like the driving school old corsa...it was special....
I hear that the 5L is more troublesome than the later engines, but it’s the one I would want, for the engine and for the looks. I’ve gone off Lambos in a pretty big way in recent years, but a fun 5L Gallardo still does it for me. That would be a very cool addition to the collection, imho.
Did a track day at Long Cross in one of these same colour as well. Albeit in manual. Great car. Even better soundtrack. Gated manual is a winner with the engine sitting just behind you. Bliss. Get a manual!
The LP570-4 Superleggera in Verde Ithaca, Giallo Midas or Arancio Borealis, The Lp560-4 and of course the LP 570-4 Spyder Performante are all time capsules of a special time in car history for me.
since lambo discontinued the V10, the gallardos and huracans might increase in value in the future, the legacy of the best sounding engine config must be kept alive somehow, getting your hands on the original lambo V10 is a great choice, not to mention you would be adding said engine config to your collection as you dont have any.
Honestly you should try to get the 1st gen gallardo nera. Only 185 of them exist in total (24 RHD) with a claimed 2-3 in the UK. Nera was part of lambo's personalization programme and had a lot of unique customization and features over the standard ones.
If you are going to put miles on it, then go for the gen 1 R8, maybe try to get back your old R8, it's cheaper than Gallardo and has the V10 engine from the LP gallardo cars. One plus point of the R8 over the Gallardo is that it was available with a dct as well, so if you're not picking a manual, dct would be the next best option.
I would love to own a pre-LP manual Gallardo one day. I think that colour looks right at home next to the SF90, they look very similar! When you do get one, and decide you want to get an exhaust on it, look for an exhaust with an X pipe, that's when you can get the high pitched LFA like screams! And, you do know someone who pretty much daily drove one for about 4 years that can give you real good advice.... *cough* James *cough* Stradman *cough*

But unfortunately I would not be brave enough to buy one at that age. Yes my car cost £50,000 but I get a7 year warranty and 2 year service periods at an affordable price. So for me I will stick with my car but it makes a lot of sense for you to buy it because it’s a car that you can afford to maintain. But not loose a fortune in depreciation with a lot of the new super cars if you pile the mileage on them.

Put on some BBS LM's and an exhaust if you get one it's a old car have fun with it shmee we know your not known for modifying cars but this car could be the exception or re-spec it change the interior and paint and stuff in a way you'd spec it and make a build series around it
As far as driver-friendly NA V10s go, I think the LFA takes the cake. Surely you could get one of those and still have room for a V12 Lambo, no? Jokes aside, I love the R8 story...follow your passion. My favorite pre-LP Gallardo is the SE, but it isn’t a Spyder.

Last week I stumbled upon a parked lp640. I was so surprised about how good it looked. Designed by a fellow Belgian!
The exhaust guys have made that 5.0L sound like a 5.2L with an x-pipe. Sounds like mine but quieter/subdued.
