- Today I expose exactly how much it costs to participate in the Gumball 3000, from entry fee to the cost of fuel it's crazy how much it came to
Massive thanks to @Shmee150 for talking to us
This year the average cost was 200,000 GBP. Shipping, insurance, accommodation etc. Then the cost of the car on top.... mega money required
Where did you get that from? RUclips lol
@@JoeKyserMr Jww say it but not sure that add cost of car or not
@@weiyoan9207Actually it was Max who said it. Outside of the price of car.
@@rifaharyadi whatever that Mr Jew video
@@JoeKyser Mr JWW channel and from Maximillion Cooper when they were driving the first stage. Not surprised tbf as 200k is entry, insurance, transport halfway around the world for most, storage, gov fees, all the hotels and parties etc etc
Shmee spent all that extra money just to be shadowed by DDE with just one car lol
DDE is also now a sponsor of DDE
Talk that #everydaysupercraaaazy
Can't stand shmee anymore. I used to really like his content, but now it feels like his channel is closing up shop. Sad he relaying on drama when the other party's have moved on. (look at his comments on his newest videos).
😂😂 they did , he took DDE badge of his car😂😂😂 he got banned from gumball
@@AlusionOSRS shmee is a little soyboy. Horrific to watch.
It was 15k entry over 10 year ago,it's a rich man's sport
it free bro they cant stop you from following/chasing them on public roads and just stay at nearby hotels and what not
Lol can't get cheaper than free
@@paulthornton4593 well all you gotta pay for is gas and hotel(unless u sleep in ur car then it free) and food that about it.
if you join that event officially well your gonna have to pay all that stuff that was said in the video
This year Max says it’s around £200k
@@davecooke6076Just to enter 😳 That’s silly but they go large and first class.
We have a rally for cancer in Australia called the Sh!tBox rally where the car purchase price cant be above 1500 AUD along with a 5k entry cost
You have to get sponsors to be able kit it out to last distances up to 5000km across Australia.
Actually, it is almost the complete opposite to the spirit of Gumball, being low cost that is for charity
That sounds amazing. Good work. I bet it’s amazing all together having fun especially for a great charity
@@MarkMcCannMk2 the cars get pretty wild, everyone has a ball trying to get through the desert in the most unsuitable cars
@@MarkMcCannMk2They have a RUclips channel for it.
Does it raise the kind of money for is there a charity as the gumball 3000 charity raises
And?
I like how you say "EXPOSE" like it's a crime or a secret to do Gumball and how much it costs. Watch DDE Daily Driven Exotics or Mr. JWW or Nicos channels to see everything.
The three I watch lol 😂

EXPOSED. like a public enquiry was necessary to solve this great social problem
If Shmee calculates the mileage depreciation for any one of those cars for the entire 3000 miles, I bet he's close to breaking even, with the RUclips videos of the trip too, I struggle to believe he made a loss.
Shmee is rich so has more gumball than any automotive RUclipsr
shmee has so much family money from family. he didnt want to go on gumball with dde as the sponsor. didnt want their sticker on his car before and now they are all over all the merch and cars and they are front and center. these rallies arent about making money, they are about taking a car you want to drive and making memories and having fun
How people watch that guy do anything is beyond me he’s the most annoying guy on earth
shmee is a total knob
@@erickg3508 still own ford GT, zenvo and SLS black series what about you🤔
It's $200,000 to do Gumball this time. That doesn't include the Ferrari or Lamborghini or Rolls Royce or whatever you are taking. To ship it to Vietnam from the U.S. like DDE did is $15,000. Maybe more, I can't remember what Dave told us. Mr. JWW goes through it a little with the founder Max on his channel.
@@marksocials97they are probably paying a bit more ,cuz they are a sponsor.
@@kazikhalid6197their sponsorship was 500k
I mean, you're going to Singapore where the rules for LHD is ridiculous and not only that, they're staying at Marina Bay Sands where one simple room alone costs AT LEAST 2k now due to it being the F1 dates. Not only that, cost of using the ports of Singapore to fly everything back as its the ending point also costs much more thus why it's more expensive now.
@@kazikhalid6197 lot more. For the gumball Europe they spent half a million dollar for sponsorship. And this year it’s way more than that.
What a brilliant & honest video 👌 thank you Mark
people dont realise that people with these kind of cars they okay with paying 15k for a biggest car event every year for experience and memories. some of them pay that price for a service for their car
Try 200k mate. Mr JWW talks about it on his recent vid
Wtf are you on about which car costs 15k to service ??? Enzo’s only cost 1600-2000 for a service even a Bugatti chiron only cost 9k to service so come on tell me what cars are 15k to service? Your chatting bum lad
I’m not a rich man…but I could see paying that much as a 1 time bucket list type thing…, all the mods are unnecessary…., the guy with the fast E63 doesn’t need mods for storage, and a support car and the like…, he jus5 wants to know the costs of rallying. 200k is above reasonable though.
@@actionfaction2558 See, that's the problem: they want to make it so stupid expensive that people see it this way.
JWW and Max himself (creator and organiser) were saying it's minimum $200k usd for most entries.
It funny to hear wealthy people complaining about money specifically about maintenance and modifications on a super car they own like if was a surprise
Shmee's biggest loss was losing his fanbase (and possibly further entries to Gumball3000) by replacing a sponsors decals (DDE) with his own logo.
He never lost his fanbase lmao
@@sesto194 well his average views went from 200k to 100k after that Gumball, so lets say half then.

If that money was expendable and I had it, yeh I’d love to make those memories.
Reality though, that money would pay my mortgage off, and allow me to look for a part time work, so that I could spend a few extra days a week loving life.
Rather than working 5 days a week, hardly ever getting a proper lunch break, then wasting some of the weekend with the mundane tasks of running a household, because you and the mrs are always at work.
Time is more precious than money.
The entry price seems the most reasonable expense.
If you've got the money and you've got the invite then absolutely go for it. Can't take it with you in the end.
Good video. I wasn’t even on the rally. I live in Indonesia as soon as I heard Gumball was coming. I Booked tikets to Bangkok and accommodation and it was costly for just a day in a half. At least I got to see how the event is put together.
The gumball looked much more fun back in the day when it was more modest cars but people still modding them and pushing them to the max. But tbf there's nothing stopping you doing everything they do in the event but not be part of their specific event
Amazing video mate... really interesting to see what goes into such a big rally... glad you guys had an amazing time. 💯❤️
Interviewed the man who refused to rep a gumball sponsor 😅😂
Lets go DDE
DDE is insufferable
DDE used there way in by way of JWW well ...don't hate the players hate the game 🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷...I imagine that burns some Brits up shmee was loyal so long and here these Canadian boys come and jump to the front of the line ...that's why will never see Tim on gumball again...his petty ego can't stop from player hating it drives him insane to have that DDE sticker on his car for a sponsor ... DDE had to put that money up and buy in you can't hate on that... Tim must be one petty cat is all I can say....I hope I'm wrong though cause I'd like to see Tim be a sponsor too...there's no reason he can't🤷🤷🤷
DDE knows nothing about cars, cant turn a wrench, and sues everyone he can. Why would you like such a piece of work?
@Ezra7X who have they sued besides the people who broke the windshield? You only hang out with mechanics? Turning a wrench is a requirement to hang out with you? That's an odd take my guy
@@Guuggel shmegma is insufferable

I definitely would do the Gumball if I had the money. It is an epic adventure. 😎
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
@@MarkMcCannMk2I will be your next copilot if you plan on doing another gumball.
Good video Mark, and Yes if I had the money I would be there... you hit the nail on the head when you said that for most of the participants money was no object ... thats why it will always fill its 100 slots for cars ..... yes over £100k may seem obscene to some people but when you have 100 million in the bank then its just a nice way to spend your interest that you earned that month.
Dave from DDE told us the paperwork alone with all the permissions to cross all the countries was $4500.
Yeah crossing Vietnam streets with those monsters is HARD MODE.
So?
Right , he said thy were in knee deep about a 100,000
Good on ya brother worth every penny life is for living. Your so down to earth and honest it gives us all hope.

Anyone else find Shmee to be extremely annoyingly fake?
Agree and in his videos just always calling out the names of the cars, you can tell he treats people like he is special or above you
@@AEVMU he is a noob at best and is relegated as such.
OMG YES.
5hmug 150
Cannot stand him and will not watch him.
No way would I pay that money to do Gumball ! I Love cars but the whole concept is an obscene waste of money and you can visit those places at your own pace without the circus and worry of mega high costs.
Yes you can visit them places, but to drive your own car through the route the gumball is taking this year for example would litterally be impossible to do in any other situation. The gumball has made SO many special arrangements with govenments and border controls to be able for the people on the rally to do this it's actually insane what they managed to get OKed. That's not even including the stops on the way, like an ancient temple they are having a dining event at etc. (the last time it ever had an event at it was the president of the country's marrage over a decade ago and that's just as an example of one stop and how prestigeous an event like that is, and every evening has an event of this caliber).
Also a huge part of Gumball is a charity called "The gumball foundation" who builds things like sports facilities in these remote parts of the world they visit along the rally, so to say it's a total waste of money is a bit hyperbolic. A lot of these people are multi multi millionairs, OFC it makes little sense to someone who's working a 9-5 on minimum wage to spend that as they would be paying it back for the rest of their lives, but paying a few hundo to goto a festival is probably around the same % of yearly income as it is for most of the people that goto Gumball and it's entry cost for them. Yeah it's a ton of money, but it's not like these people don't have it to spend, and it's their money to do what they want with.
You pay for an experience.. You could do it, but wouldn't be the same
But for people with megabucks it's also an opportunity to meet other other people megabucks ... highly likely business people
Because you see life differently doesn’t mean everyone is on the same page loll
The crazy thing isnt only that...if we were honest: Its a huge circlejerk to get to know people + (most importantly) you bought all that Fairness to literally just rub it into the people spectating. For them its also fun, but all that cheering into the crowd to get them to go crazy on your incredibility is the undenyable main course.
It started with loser multimillionaires of the obnoxious poser type...and they went full throttle. Gumball isnt that anymore...its just seeing and been seen. Back in the day the drivers payed hige fees, had legitimate problems with police and let their money speak. A couple thousand bucks for speeding or a night in jail was, what you aimed for...and not routinely drive on barricaded strips of road or a convoy with police escorts.
Who wins and who gets across the 3000miles first....thats what it was and that not even a part of it anymore for most participants. Otherwise you couldnt have a Business on gumball.
Destroying the roof for some cheep light. Holy fuck

13:55 No it wasn't
There’s also the other small things like visas, cell phone service, giving back to community, tipping for helping, the occasional accident or mechanical failures, and lots more. This was just the Basics on what it would cost.

Shmee saved 60k in deprecation if he only did 500 miles on each car. He is smart
Yes.
Yes I would. Life’s too short and it’s only money.
I think that’s a very good attitude if the money is not imperative to live. You are also a long time dead, and we all know people which that happens too soon

That was amazing!! As usual you post the best video, it was an amazing event and as you said is not about money because there is more and more. Money come and go while emotions stay with you forever
Oh yea. Definatly worth the memories if your in a position it wont effect the bottom line. Stay safe
Honestly I'd have thought it would have cost a lot more... Yes, if I was in the supercar world I might do it once, maybe. I don't know though because I'm not part of that world and don't know those people. But glad you knocked this off your list and finally did it.
Gumball nowadays is nothing in comparison to what it used to be (from the variety of cars, insane drivers and shit happening) was a highlight of my childhood watching the videos on T.V, i dont think the cost is worth it today atall - the o.g's really got the best slice of the pie
You wouldn't know if its worth or not cause you never been on one the current gumball is around 200k and if wasn't worth it ppl wouldn't be doing it 11 TIMES just bcuz they have money doesn't mean they can't tell when smt is worth it or not I'm sure the most used words ppl say is "I've never experienced nothing like this"

Great video mark. Yes by the ordinary man’s costs it a huge amount of money. But if you are a real car guy such as yourself and you can afford it then yes you should do it. Was £5000 to enter a car with driver and one passenger in 2001 when me and a friend did it in my TVR. Those were the days. Was a much truer experience to the original back then.
Now it’s all vloggers, rappers etc etc
In 2001 rqlly was pure and wild and with mtv jackass stunt team
Well done, and its been done. If i could afford it, obviously I'd do it. However, as a fancy or an itch that needs scratching, probably not at that cost. Id do the same route with a few good friends.

Hold on, this guy says a $4000 ski box is expensive… YOU have multiple Lamborghinis!!!
Borrowed money..
He said in the video that his dad left him some money. He was also one of the first to get the new Revuelto. So financing doesn’t mean he doesn’t have it.
I was guessing it was going to be 40 grand
I’d say it’s worth it, it’s once in a life time experience for sure. Especially the Asia tour right now. Max is an absolute legend though. He actually planned the Asia tour 2 years ahead. It’s what the behind the scenes that you don’t see.

Here in IRELAND I would love to set up a Rally and call it something like CHEAP BALL 300 or KNOCK OFF GUM BALL 300 and you can't have a car that costs more than €3000 so none of these Rich People can bring there cars. It whould be more about the PEOPLE you meet on the KNOCKOFF BALL then the Car's

I love gintani and the exhausts they make dtx sounds good while sitting but when you get on it gintani sounds way better . Dtx sounds like it breaks up a little under pressure
Gintani's exhaust is also fully titanium iirc. Which adds to the unique sound. Either way, you cant go wrong straight-piping any Lambo, Ferrari, Mclaren or Porsche👍
As much as id love to do gumball i cant juatify spending 60k on the entey fee and around 100k total just for the rally. Its simply too overpriced and id rather go in my own time 💯💯💯💯
Its crazy to think that the total made from the entry fees doesnt even cover the cost of the rallies 💯💯
Gumball in the early 2000s was so cool, after 2007 it just got more and more shit
I needed such a video today😢
I have been fortunate to do 4 gumball rallys (3 USA trips & europe to Japan)... the entry fee & logistics of the rally costs have gotten more & more expensive every year as it goes on... Last gumball i did was Toronto to Miami & is was an AMAZING trip/experience.. If you are able to do just 1 gumball, it will be an experience of a lifetime. Plus you get to network & meet some fantastic individuals in the rally & the people you see on the rally in the different cities... But it is VERY expensive. This years gumball cost estimated 200k, which is nearly double of the year previous
Exactly and you have clowns In the comment saying it isn't worth it when you're proof right here
Just showing up and "networking" doesn't mean you'll get anything out of it. Networking only works if you're good enough at it.
unfortunately it will only continue to get more expensive. Costs of everything only ever goes up and not down, it is inevitable, like death and taxes
I mean it is their 25 aniversary, so it's kind of a special gumball this year and they really went all out on every aspect (which is probably a big part of why this year is so much more expensive).
@@Johnoez I was just gonna say this. Inflation is a big part of continual increase. People dont realize that their money loses 2-7% of its value per year. Over the last 3.5 years in the US, we've seen 21% of inflation.

I think he's making the point that if you have to think about the money at al then you really shouldn't be doing it. This event is designed for the super wealthy who have sufficient disposable funds to not even notice the cost.
Love the positivity and honesty 🤘😎🤘
The entry fee is high. But it also covers hotels (which are usually all 5 star or the best in the area) access to all post driving events, parking and security, police escorts when needed, and coordination and planning for all of this done behind the scenes. This years event also covers access to F1 in which the access the Gumball drivers get isn’t cheap. Plus all the gifts they get are worth a couple thousand. During the event, people pay for food and fuel. That’s basically it. Considering what it is and what’s included, it’s not unrealistic for the fee to be high.
Also the fee doesn't even cover all the costs.
@@kazikhalid6197 of course. just like the cost of a cruise doesn't cover the cost of getting to and from the cruise.

Great insight to the Gumball rally just makes you wonder how many fines and speeding tickets the teams got over 3,000 miles. 😂😂😂😂. Seen a bit of DDE this year and their car problems. Would like to know how much they spent at the end.
thing is you can join the gumball for free by following/chasing them on the road since gumball doesn't own the public road nor can stop you from following them and just stay at nearby hotels or if you have a comfy car then just sleep in that and just eat at what ever fast food or restaurant in the area.

Many times, you’d never be able to keep up really for the simple loopholes they go through. It’s insane, Gumball 25 in Vietnam is a good example, you’d never be able to do it on your own with out the Rally

I would do it in a heartbeat if I had the money. I think any petrol head would. Maybe do the scumball rally next year. That ones a bit more affordable for the average man
I remember this being kinda cool when I first remember seeing it on I think MTV and Channel 4 series some 20+ years ago. I can't imagine wanting anything to do with it now.
For sure it’s a little different. But I feel life has changed. Big celebs would be judged for doing a car rally on social media, so they worry for the backlash.
9:00 Yeh but lets be real here, shmee may have paid all that money, but he's not going to have to worry about doing it again for a while 😂😂 i doubt he will be invited back again after his HUGE disrespectful behaviour last time!!
What happened ? Wondered why he hadn't mentioned this year
@@surreyguysurrey4898Shmee refused to put a DDE decal on his car even though they were a rally sponsor.
@@surreyguysurrey4898 jealous of DDE
@surreyguysurrey4898 DDE were an official sponsor of the rally, and he had an issue with dde, he didn't want a competitor youtuber channel name on his car and so he swapped just their logo with his own in an extremely petty move, so even though they were an official sponsor and you are required by the rules to have the sponsor names on your car, he didn't, which was an absolute huge middle finger to not only DDE, but to the Gumball 3000 event too! And then lied on camera with a weak excuse trying to say it was the livery installers fault, they all saw right through his pettiness and lies and I would think banned him from the event for life!
Shmee said that he’s actually doing it next year. He had a different and arguably better supercar rally ready for this year, supercar owners circle.
Love you bro I don’t live in the UK so if you can convert that to American dollars, that would be freaking awesome bro wish you all the best
I remember when gumball was about, who can bring the most ridiculous rides there to see if it can survive the whole journey And if your car got break down, you just hitch a ride with another gumball member to finish the rally, that was gumball and that was very entertained. But but now it's just plain old boring rallies
LOL did you even watch? Also remember what? Its still about survival, cars break down and yet they still drive it. That is the spirit and always been. But the most ridiculous rides? What? There were 2 teams that done that, but also their work was around that. The other 100 cars were exactly like now, luxury supercars with stickers
It's all about revving cars now
@BeardedBear69 ppl used to bring wacky rides and dressed up in costumes at the Gumball, and some who didn't have a ride would hitch hike throughout the whole rally even if their cars brokdown as well.
There are a bunch of luxury cars. Yes, but the ones with the most attention were the ones with the weirdest set of vehicles.
I started watching gumball since 2005. So I still remember these things, even that ice-cream van that was a part of Gumball So it wasn't just about a luxury vehicle
It's just boring now Car still breakdown.Yes, and sometimes people will just give up part way on the rally and return home
Daily Driven Exotics. Watch that channel. Their Aventador has electrical issues. Every day is super crazy!
‘See you next Tuesday’? Interesting phrase to finish on 😳
The rich get richer. The poor turn off the heating.
That’s why you have to be smart and ambitious and get on their level. I don’t care about certain issue that involve people way out of my tax bracket until I get there someday.
@@Boostedsuspects Well you should be involved with people out of your tax bracket because they don't pay fair share of tax, dooming the rest of us in the process.
Wow. Fabulous video. Had no idea it was so expensive.
7:04 Apparently Shmee isn’t going Gumball because of he’s feud with DDE.
No he opted to do a rally in Italy
This event has all gone haywire! It's ridiculous and revolting actually.
Shmee is salty at gumball cause dde sponsees them lol. Shmee just doesn’t want a dde decal in his car! A bit sad isn’t it 10:10
