After I found out you were the son of a multi millionaire inventor. The non self-made silver spoon content creators, a rich kid showing off his spoils, hits differently. It's a bit like finding out shmee is the air to the Burtons high street store dynasty. You're worth millions, and you're low balling a guy over a few hundred quid whilst you have cars worth a small fortune rotting in your backyard.

As a 43 year old gentleman, I ducking love this one. My dream machine was always a yamaha R1, and I now own a full carbon and heavily modded R1 from my 2018 R1 to my new 2023 R1. Also, I had a few mates with the pug 205 1.9 GTI, and every single one was written off within 2 years.

I had several 205 gti's back in the day. love them! I put a 1.6 gearbox on my 1.9. The shorter ratios made it way more fun to drive on twisties!

I had a mint cherry red 1.9gti and sold it for £1650 in 2005🤦🏻. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Looking at yours it’s a late phase 2 on k plate so it won’t have the 130bhp, but 122 as they had catalysts as I recall

I bought my 'attainable' dream car last year. '93 Nissan 300ZX SWB TT 😁 Even cooler is it got delivered April 26th, Aliens day. One of my favourite films from a kid too so it was very memorable and, i obviously named it Ellen 😆

I bought mint graphite grey 1.9 Westwood tuned phase 2 early 2000s for wife £600 , sold it year later £1500.. fun cars , loved picking wheel up on roundabouts , but like bean tins . Cool classic though

Great video - I remember this era so well. I was lucky and had the XR3i which was so amazing at the time. 😀 The 80s were the golden era for hot hatches and cars in general! Back then, cars had personality, raw attitude, engaging, and full of character. My kids have missed this experience and now with so much EV and Hybrid I am glad I lived in this era.

My first car was a 205 gti. I paid 60 quid for it in 2007! Wrote it off at about 5 mph sliding round a frozen car park about 6 months later! Loved that car!

Being a child of the 50s my first dream car was the Mk2 Jag I eventually managed to get a Daimler 2.5 very similar spent 5 years restoring it took it out for a drive and hated it kept it for a further 3 years in which time I done 25 miles then sold it, becareful what you wish for.

My mate brought the 205 GTI in Blue with the Dimma Kit I belive it was in Max power magazine at some point, it was sooo good especially around the Cloverleaf. I actually preferred the 306 GTI 6 though I never had one but drove my brothers a lot
