I couldn't agree more, the initial reveal surprised me a little, with regards to the colour, but the sneak peak of it in this episode took my breath away a little. excellent foresight in my opinion. Anything special sometimes needs to be absorbed a little, Tim knows what he's doing, that's for sure.
Yeah but if he's not driving it then it just becomes a garage princess. If he keeps it, it needs to be because he wants to and because he can justify it.
The Aston is one of the few cars in the Garage that will eventually have a cult status and become a collectors piece. Almost everything else even though they are expensive are pretty much mass produced now.

The Clio doesn't cost enough to be a sell priority. The GT8 and the 675LT are expensive, even just sitting there. Personally I prefer them to the 296 but if he's driving the 296 and prefers Ferrari, then it makes no sense to keep what you don't like as much and sell what you do like, just because it's more rare or special.

I'd love one in the future, but that's a post-RUclips era car, because for now the prices are sky high and the interest in such a car is sadly a lot lower
LFA’s just aren’t worth the price, im not sure what they are worth where Shmee lives but in the US they are $1M cars when they shouldn’t be, they were cool at 300k, 350k, 450k and after 500k they just became overrated thus making them over priced

Personally I think so too , it’s been fantastic watching the build of the car and watching some of it’s journeys, but I don’t see where it fits in now with the XX coming not to mention the GTD which the American audience will go nuts over . The problem will be trying to sell it without losing too much.
I suspect that although not inferred, Tim doesn’t really enjoy owning the Zenvo…it has had a great deal of time back at the factory and I think is somewhat overrated. That would be the first one out of the door for me. The AMG GT Black Series is one I would keep but slow down on useage…it has a great deal of Channel history and I see that as one Tim really likes so again, I would keep it. Not a fan of Lotus so any of them could go as well! We shall see what he does!,😃😃😃
I think I'd like the Zenvo more if it was driven more and got more screen time... but I guess it's too expensive - and for that reason, it doesn't fit the channel... But also, I have very little interest in pretty much all the ferrari's... maybe the XX will change my mind...

Keep in mind a solid rear end needs more sidewall to maintain a good contact patch ie 275/40r17 vs 275/35r18.

The sound of the GT8 never gets old!! Love it!! I saw one in Warwick a month or 2 ago. I am guessing it is either coming or going to Gaydon for service or even the units Aston Martin have at Wellesbourne distribution park. It was in white. What a sound!!
LiFePO4 Lithium IRON Phosphate Battery. It's much more safer battery type but at the cost of Lower Energy Density thus capacity. Combined with more efficient battery packaging BYD has gotten it to 15% less energy capacity than Nickel based lithium ion batteries. A nice safety benefit that has a serious compromise.

The GT8 going would be huge, don't do it Tim, that car is epic! Always considered it one of the keepers with the Ford GT, 675, and the SLS. Surely you don't need all those Ferraris, I mean the 296 seems a little surplus to requirements, and the Roma too, what with the 12 Cilindri and the SF90 XX incoming. Sad to see that beautiful blue SF90 go but the XX is the absolute pick of the Ferrari bunch right now, so I can't wait for that one to arrive!
@@pottacoola i've had the misfortune to work on a few BYD models, dont remember exactly which ones but one was the 2020 BYD Song. They have a proprietary type of battery where the plus and minus poles are swapped and are on the wrong side of the battery, and the batteries tend to go bad really quick. The 1.5L combustion engine is not good either, sparkplugs were shot, lambda sensors went, and leaking head gasket. Car had maybe 60k kilometers on it. In general, all Chinese cars i had to work on have a lot of electrical gremlins and engines are not reliable and even the interiors are cheap as hell, the infotainment was an android tablet where you could download netflix on it thru the google app store. The manufacturer literally just put a Samsung tablet in, tried to imitate IOS home screen and icon design.

On the topic of BYD: I don't think that we as citizens of democratic countrys should buy products from countries which are autocratic. Shure, with many things you can't escape china, and its cheap. But with a car you have so many great alternatives which are simply better for humanity. And with the other things we also should start voting with our wallets and buy from domestic/ democratic companies
That is a very nice Ideology which I wish we could achieve. But that is simply unrealistic or way more complicated than you think. Not many truly democratic and respectful nations actually have an automotive industry, many of them either never started or it's already dead. As a Holden fanboy i'm soo heart broken our car building industry died here.

The 1.5L combustion engine is not good either, sparkplugs were shot, lambda sensors went, and leaking head gasket. Car had maybe 60k kilometers on it. In general, all Chinese cars i had to work on have a lot of electrical gremlins and engines are not reliable and even the interiors are cheap as hell, the infotainment was an android tablet where you could download netflix on it thru the google app store. The manufacturer literally just put a Samsung tablet in, tried to imitate IOS home screen and icon design.

don't turn your back on the EU continent Tim, promoting Chinese cars is not a a wise strategy on the long term.. sure you filled your pockets, but a lot of people lose their job and the Eu will get even weaker VS China if the auto industrie gets decimated by "cheap" Chinese cars.. do you want to be part of that?
It doesn't fill my pockets in the slightest; most of my videos involve European or American cars; and in fact 75% of this video is promoting European brands.

On the topic of BYD: I don't think that we as citizens of democratic countrys should buy products from countries which are autocratic. Shure, with many things you can't escape china, and its cheap. But with a car you have so many great alternatives which are simply better for humanity. And with the other things we also should start voting with our wallets and buy from domestic/ democratic companies
That is a very nice Ideology which I wish we could achieve. But that is simply unrealistic or way more complicated than you think. Not many truly democratic and respectful nations actually have an automotive industry, many of them either never started or it's already dead. As a Holden fanboy i'm soo heart broken our car building industry died here.
