[ep.131] Perfect Suncheon weekend trip, days in my life at school, tennis class | VLOG

토픽 시험 쓰기 연습을 위해 한국어 자막을 써 봤습니다. 저의 쓰기 실력이 아직 많이 부족하고 잘 못 쓴 것이 많을 것 같아서 양해해 주시기 바랍니다~
Suncheon is so lovely and I’m so lucky with the weather and the cherry blossoms and good company and good food!! Thanks Jen, Raya, & Monica and safe travels back to the USA! 💜 I’m so happy I finally got to bike by the stream!! Everything was perfect!
Oh my goodness, the more I study Korean, the more confused I seem to get. xD Beginner Korean is pretty easy to learn (the alphabet, basic sentences and stuff). I guess one reason it’s easy is because we can directly translate into English… but then with intermediate and advanced Korean, it’s getting way harder to translate into English and all the grammar patterns and abbreviations are getting so confusing so I have been feeling a bit down while studying. xD But on a brighter (maybe??) side, I think it’s helping me understand my students and how they feel about learning English more. xD I definitely understand why some of them just give up on learning English for the Korean SAT because sometimes it can feel like jumping directly into learning advanced English after learning the alphabet… 😭 And I understand why my encouragements can fall to deaf ears. 🥲
Also I am so tired and busy… I think I need a couple of weeks of doing nothing at home (well, I do need to study) so I can recover my energy. 🤣
AND! For the first time, I figured out that one of my students was another student’s younger brother! I’ve been conducting the freshmen speaking tests and during one of the interviews I had an epiphany because their speaking mannerisms were so similar. xD Usually the student tells me or I don’t find out that they’re related until literally graduation day because the younger brother shows up to the ceremony with the rest of the family. So I was very proud of myself for figuring out out hahaha.
