[ep.148] Leaving Korea news, letters from my students, weeks in my life | VLOG

I love my students so much! 😭🫶🏻💜 I’m really going to miss them.
“it’s so sad to part like this, but if there is a farewell, there’s also another encounter”
If there’s anything I’ve learned from the past three years, it’s that learning someone’s name and saying hi to them every time makes the biggest difference! Idk why I’m still surprised when students thank me for saying hi to them, because one of my favorite parts of the school day is when I’m walking in the hallway and students say hi to me. ❤️
I am also so grateful that I could get through the entire week of making s’mores for my students without any canceled classes and only 2 absent students!
Also I was telling Siying that maybe 10 minutes of the students' notes seemed like too much, but then she was like please when is the last time we got 10 minutes of praise and I thought about it and the answer was... literally never LOL so there we go. 💜

Hi Connie! I was an English teacher in Mokpo too but left a little while ago. I've really enjoyed watching your videos and found them so lovely and nostalgic. Really relate to the difficulty of deciding whether to go or stay, it's so tough but you've definitely got to go with your gut. Wishing you well!
