FUN FACT: the light pole sence in Singham was shot on a famous place in Goa.. and after the release people used to go there and break light pole everyday like the movie so they had to remove them permanently

I feel like there should be whole separate video on Davy Jones from Pirates of Caribbean. 14 years later and the effects still look flawless. And the way the effects actually don't limit actor's expressions but actually enhance them - spectacular job.
It's great, right? Saw second Pirates movie, CGI in this film is so great as it could be back then. Shit, it looks even better than modern blockbusters
Gollum and Davy Jones were (and still are) some of the best digital characters every committed to film
The eyes are great, I feel like the fact that Davy Jones has real eyes help sell the CGI.
I'm pretty sure they looked at the Davy Jones effects in an earlier episode!

Fun Fact: Tumbbad's Soundtrack was done by Jesper Kyd aka the guy who made the soundtrack of Assassin's Creed 2.
Yup I was surprised when I saw this on wikipedia.
Jesper Kid should make more soundtrack, the OST from AC2 was bloody excellent! probably the best in the franchise.

Dead man’s chest has the most underrated CG in history. The character design is nuts. That film is still miles ahead of most big movies today.

and it was made in like a million dollars! The production value overall, the set design and all, It's easily worth 100x that. Tumbbad is really the definition of a labor of love. It was made in over 15 years, like MMFR.

Guys the set you saw in the movie Tumbbad is all real. Tumbbad is really a masterpiece. I don't know much about the CGI but the storyline is amazing.

I love how in Bollywood effects can range from incredibly bad to incredibly good within the same scene. It makes these analysis particularly fascinating.
Depends on the Budget. 70-80% of movies don't have any good budget for VFX.
Few large budget ones have really good CGI and VFX

The most important detail in context of tumbbad was that it was made on a very very low budget , it was pretty much an indie film , considering that , the CG is pretty well done
You should do "love death and robots", there is some outstanding full CGI.
Each episode is basically a demo real for a 3D engine but with some story.
I forgot that i recommended that show like 10 episodes ago, but YES thay absolutely shoud react to it!

Because if you're telling me that that's unique for an Indian horror film, then that's genuinely surprising. I may not know much about Indian culture, but I would have thought that would be a little more common, you know? Not super common, but common enough that it wouldn't only happen in an underrated flick.

Most horror movies here do not contain any actual Indian stories or folk lore as you said. Tumbadd was actually 🔥 I was taken back by how for the first time an actual indian movie, did not try to copy western culture and instead create something unique themselves. Who would have guessed, the story was pretty amazing. 👏

Anyone reading this, tumbbad is an absolute gem of a movie. I’ve seen quite a few horror movies and I can say without a doubt that tumbbad is one of my favourites. A very beautiful movie that throws away the stereotypes of bollywood. Movie deals with very complex themes of greed and survival. Definitely worth a watch.
Not just bollywood, I haven't seen anything like that in any cinema, is a completely new genre in itself.
The Dhoom series is a good one. My wife got me into the Bollywood movies and this was an awesome one.

I'd love to see you guys react to either "Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole" or "Rango" as I feel like these movies had so much good going for them (visually and storywise) but sadly went under the radar. Especially "Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole" because it was made 2010 but still beats most of all modern animated movies in my opinion.

Take a look at the effects in Carnival Row. They have lots of mythical creatures like fairies, and I'd like to see what you think of the "creature" elements, like the fairy wings.
