Moved up to a pricier version for better screen resolution and processor ruclips.net/user/postUgkxUGaHtKW8MwCql2fPyIm9-ftTqSMzKFFA , but battery drains faster, and not having a button for control of apps turns out to be a problem. Touch ID is harder to use than with the old button on the front. Can't really see the better screen resolution or see increase in speed, etc with better processor
Great video, E. I’m upgrading my current iPad Pro sometime this year, and it’s actually a good idea what you’ve showed in the video. Currently, my apps are all over the place and yes, I can reset it to factory settings, but it’s not the best solution I can think of right now.

Good for you, I don’t use much apps at once but I’m focusing on keeping home screen minimal and light, helps me focusing on one task. Make one on minimalist

I noticed that you do reply back so here we go: I would’ve like to see more things such as more details on settings used (previous videos were more filled). Why do you prefer dark mode. What’s your charging method for optimum life. I do not like my mac anymore and hope I can use ipad only. Do you think I can code only on ipad ? (Python html css) and what do you use. Most important question, what’s your thoughts on more resolution more space and new ios features…not using any ?

I personally went with the m2 12.9 inch ipad pro. It my first time having a ipad as my daily driver for my laptop which im loving so far. And its my first time using a 12.9 ipad pro and its crazy big which i love! This video definatly helped me do stuff i didnt do when i first got it!
Nah before I started using iPads, I had to go to Best buy and check their sizes myself and 11" was the right size for me and for laptops I prefer laptops under 14" 🤷🏾♂
I’ve got the 11” 2018 Pro and can’t find any reason to replace it except being tempted to try a 12.9 model.
I won’t use as my only device as I need Windows and Mac for my deep technical work but I like the iPad for OneNote and other planning stuff

Hi, just got the m2 iPad Pro 12.9 with IOS 16.2, I can’t seem to lock the today view on the Home Screen, while editing the today view it doesn’t give me an option to lock to Home Screen… any help would be appreciated thanks
next week I'm going to receive a new Ipad pro 11 from 2022 and I want to transfer everything I have to my old 11 pro from 2018 (A1) chip but I don't use Icloud .... it will be possible for me to transfer all the data with a cable or via Bluetooth....thanks

Some really nice suggestions for settings and apps. I like the focus idea! You mentioned apps list, but at least in the quick one you didn't mention my absolute favourite for iPads, which is Flipboard for light reading of different magazines. It's the first app i recommend to new iPad users. Also interesting your music choices not using Spotify with it's awesome connect feature, but we will agree to disagree on that one! Nice video. Really enjoy your style of videos.
What made you go for the 11 inch instead of 12.9?
Hey, I connected my iPad to the external monitor… but how do I change my refresh rate? It’s stuck at 60hz, when my monitor can go up to 165hz. Anything you can help me with?

I honestly haven't done anything. I think only iPhones display them...since out of the box, the iPad doesn't show them either.

I ish I had found this video yesterday. My husband suggested I go to the ATT store. I was very surprised they did the simple set up. I would not have gone there for that. I could do that. I’m moving simple from M1 to M2 . Can I start over? I have not erased my old iPad? I’m worried not everything was transferred.
I am going to go step by step here and see if it can whelp me anyway.
There are many apps I don’t want and many other apps and or updates like you show that I could do off this new iPad so it’s not clogged with junk and or wasted space.
Hi Trudy, you can always start over but before you do anything make sure of the following:
- your personal information like contacts and photos is backed up on iCloud
- you have access to your accounts: user names and passwords
- it will be great to prepare a list of the apps you want to install on the new tablet
- keep your old iPad untouched for a couple of weeks once you setup the new one should something important you’ve missed comes up.
i can't believe i just bought one lol... my first and hopefully only apple product 😅😅 maybe I'll get the pods pro and pencil... keyboard on-screen is fine for my pockets

What made you change from the iPad mini to the larger iPad? More usage of apps that benefit of more screen real estate?
The mini underperforms for my needs. The app crash all the time when I try to edit a more complex drawing. Otherwise I much prefer the iPad mini size.

Great video. I switched to the 2020 iPad Pro as my primary computer when it released and have been loving the experience, despite the obvious setbacks. Do you think the M2 pro offers enough of an advantage now to upgrade?
I am glad to hear that Eric. In terms of UI and experience, I don't think it's worth it. If you do complex work however, you might notice an improvement.
@@ThisIsE I work in architecture, so I do have a bigger PC for rendering, but outside of that do the bulk of my work and personal time on the iPad, sketchup, drawing, photo editing.
Really interested in actual monitor support as I’m pre-M1.

@@ThisIsE that’s what I’m hearing. Appreciate it. I’ll hold off for now as what I’m doing is working. Just wish they’d give the software a bit more flexibility to use the actual power of an M1 or M2.

Would you consider a higher storage 256 vs 500 gb for the iPad Pro m2 . Thank you
It really depends on what you intend to do with the iPad. If you're not going to take a lot of pictures or videos or download a lot of large apps, the 256 GB version should be fine. but if you're going to store a lot of high quality video or a lot of very large apps, you want as much storage space as you can afford.
Once again a great video from you. Why did you switch back to the 11 inch?
The smaller the tablet, the more I use it. For everything else, I have the 16” MBP

It is possible, but depends on the workflow. To me, it is not there yet…but I do have the desire to make a dedicated video on the topic.
What made you move away from the iPad mini ? Great video as always!
Thank you. I moved away from the mini mainly because of the fact that it’s underpowered for my needs. It crashes all the time when I try to do complex drawings. Otherwise, I much prefer the form factor of the mini.

Have you noticed if the battery life is not so good? I had an iPad Air M1 that I gave to my daughter, and it had much better battery life. Just wondered if I had something wrong or if you were seeing it also. Love the videos! Cheers!

Why don’t you use the Apple Keychain as your Password Manager if you are so deep in the Apple Ecosystem? You also changed to iCloud for your default cloud storage….
I do use it, but I also use a cross platform solution in case I need to use Android or Windows.
@Bluecast in addition to the browser extensions there is a password viewer app that (last I checked) even supports Windows Hello facial/fingerprint unlock if your PC has that feature

hey guys, does anybody know how he set up the safari shortcut with 1password? my problem is that 1password opens everytime when I click on safari… isn‘t there an option to check if it‘s allready open so it stays in the background? maybe even @ThisIsE?
