For all the people just saying to get the M1 or that the M2 isnt worth it, arent Artists.
Hover is a HUGE turning point for Digital Artwork for Artists using iPad. This Feature is immensely helpful and we can now do so many things that we wouldve had so much trouble doing before, specifically when Painting with the Apple Pencil. Knowing exactly where and how your stroke is going to land is everything. I specifically sold my M1 for M2 only for the Hover Feature, and its worth Every Single Penny.

100% agree. I had the 7th Gen iPad and Apple Pencil (1st Gen) and I tried to do art on it and I just couldn’t enjoy it like I wanted to. When the iPad Pro 12.9 6th Gen came out, I knew I had to get it. I have just started enjoying art on my iPad! It’s my dream! My physical and mental health has been so bad lately some days I just don’t have the energy to gather all my art supplies so this iPad and its new feature has really saved me. :)
As an architect that sketches alot before moving into 3d designs with experience between m1&2, hover is fine and it helps but its not necessary to even use it. It should have been in long time ago as its an old tech and nothing new. Hover does not help improve ur art, it is just a slight convenience.
People are complaining because its not necessary to upgrade to m2. There is nothing that cn utilise m2 full potential hence m1 is more money-saving. However m2 is better for future-proofing and much better for 3d designers rather than drawings.
You do know Windows and Android have had that for years, they just didn't name it. Apple is making it sound it's innovative and they've come up with it. They just gave it a name.

Cool tips! BTW, the signatures in the new sig option in the Pencil tool palette is synced to signatures you already have saved in Preview! I would expect new ones created here will also show up in preview as well. Also BTW, if you like Freeform, a doc there is basically just like one page from a Microsoft Notes document, but without the multiple levels of organization built into the UI for MS Notes. (The best product MS has ever shipped, IMHO, and it syncs flawlessly between devices and is FREE!)

Upgraded from the 2nd generation iPad Pro both 11in. Upgraded primarily for the m2 so I can better edit projects on LumaFusion

How did you get the pencil options to come up in Notes?
The pen tool bar, touch the three dots (the hamburger)
iPad 12.9 M2 is my 1st, & watched your great video now 10 times. Was confounded by how u add apps to home screen. I tap, tap hold, double tap, and NEVER, do I get menu w/ "Add to home screen" like U do. Only "edit home screen, share or delete. Finally noticed the Pages app appeared in the menu bar at the bottom of the home screen, and able to slide it from there onto the home screen. lol
My M1 11 inch is still great today in 2024

I have the new iPad Pro 2022 and I don't see those wallpapers anywhere. I also don't have a "Still" option.
Also in Notes, if you open the color wheel, you can change from P3 Hex to sRGB colors …

I think you need to mention that the screenshot feature only works if you have Stage Manager turned OFF.

I have been using 2020 11inch ipad pro over 2 years now, no need to upgrade i think i am only using it for very easy tasks. That is all.

I tried to swap my wallpaper to one of the 2 new one's you displayed on your iPad, but my iPad does not seem to have them. Do I need to download them from apple store or are they only exclusive to the much larger iPad Pro? Thanks.
i was looking too for the wallpapers, a google search suggests they arnt included in the latest ios update
@@CandSEvo7 It does seem odd doesn't it, seeing that the image of the wallpapers are on the front of the box but not included in the software..! Maybe they'll reintroduce them at the next ios update... maybe?

How long is battery life Apple iPad Pro 11 ?
I original,y got the 12.9” m2 pro but took it back and got the 11” it’s more portable and easier to handle but my go to iPad is the mini 6 so some may like their bigger version. I like the portability of the 11” better imo

I just got the iPad Pro 11 inch yesterday but I’m having issues - im noticing blur / trailing when on Home Screen or anywhere else; when moving fast. I know the 11 inch uses and older LCD screen and the refresh rate is not that great but is this normal. How is the 12.9 with the micro LED? Does it also have this issue?

Give it a day so it can update thousands of files along with installing all your Apps. If it acts crazy after 2 days, send it back or take it to the store for a new one.
I ended up returning it today - im either going to try the 12.9 Inch and see how that goes. Maybe with the better screen it wont be as bad.
They should definitely make an iPad Pro mini
Thanks for the video! Did you have a problem of battery draining fast on the M2 2022 iPad Pro? I’m using mostly Notability since I’m a student. I’ve updated to the latest version of iOS and cancelled some of the location services and background apps to reduce battery consumption but still it looks like it drains pretty fast
Has the issue gone away? How is the battery life on it?

When in half brightness or less, it can go 9-10hrs no problem.
