I tried to advocate for myself and respectfully challenge what a female NP was saying regarding my levels and the HRT dosages she had me on, and she told me I was rude and abrasive. I left in tears and obviously will not go back to her. I live in rural Kentucky, and we do not have a lot of nearby options. Tried Midi Health and they told me testosterone is linked to cancer😐. It can be overwhelming and frustrating.
My Gynecologist told me I was estrogen dominant which caused uterine polyps and hot flashes so am now on progesterone cream plus I've lost weight, my menopause symptoms are so much better.
We need a handout to bring to the doctor with us. With references :) Edit: please use in-text references in your book so we can refer to them. Another popular menopause book doesn't do that, and as a researcher, I'd like to follow up for conversations with others.
One more thing . The WHI had an arm where women who had hysterectomies were treated with estrogen alone showed a DECREASED risk of breast cancer. Drawing the conclusion that estrogen causes breast cancer fromthe WHI data is gross incompetence/ malpractice/ misogynistic.
Women are suffering yes, but it is also our job to investigate, be curious, ask questions, be proactive with our health. I speak to some of my friends who are a little older tahn me ( I am 50) and the ladies are not even curious with their symptoms!! And I try to concinve them about vaginal estrogen, they look at me with horror😮 If I try to speak to them about with HRT, I will not have any friends left! Here in Europe, almost all women and even doctors are terrified about breast cancer. I have just started HRT, with me bleeding from estradiol gel for 9 days- even scared to go back to the doctor as he will probably take me off all together, instead of adjusting doses etc…
your body will probably adjust and the break through bleeding will go away. As long as it is not a huge amount of bleeding I would wait it out. That is a normal side effect for a few months after starting, sore boobs is too.
Your friends need to read the updated criticisms of the WHI. Also , if you find someone to give you HRT you don't need to tell your friends. You do not need their frankly uninformed opinion.
@@lindajones4849 the WHI destroyed women's health. They are a disgrace and really ruined millions of women's lives. Disgusting group of women that did this study and to this day does not even acknowledge their wrong doing. I wish there would be a Netflix special calling them out to inform more women. They need to be exposed. The leader of it all died of a brain tumor i think a year after the study was released. My mom was taken off of HRT in the late 90s and died of a horrible dementia at the young age of 77. Who knows, maybe she would had not gotten dementia. We will never know.
I'm the only one of my friends taking HRT. They're educated women with access to the same info as me, so I respect their choices. But I plan to be on HRT for life 💛
Testosterone is really helpful for me. Or perhaps it's that Very Strong Placebo Effect the British Menopause Society says it is. I mean it's only lasted three YEARS so far 😊xx
My mireena coil was misplaced andci had operation to remove it, i normally suffer from heavy periods and pms emdermetriosis, I was pot on oestragel and utragestran vaginally as ive got progesterone intolerance 😮 After my mireena removal 😮 i wasn't told by my gynecologist that i would have a mireena CRASH! Where i had the most debilitating symptoms of my heavy cramping periods, pms and my perimenopause all cane flooding back😢 I waa given strong tabkets for bleeding! And my dr told me to take utragestran orally 😮 but ive got an intolerance 😮 I did take progesterone vaginally now im cramping and bleeding again 😢 Now all my menopause symptoms come back😮❤
please do am episode on hrt patch and whether there is an increase of ovarian cancer risk. i am being told this by my obgyn who is certified by the menopause society. she is using this reason as an excuse to cut my hrt dosage lower than i know my body needs. i need some study or explain so i can support my need to have the dosage not changed.
Great question, that's my situation. I'm sure from my own experience with HRT that people with chronic low grade inflammation from autoimmune need additional hormones. I'd really appreciate learning more about this link 😊xx
If the nedical eztablishment shifted their focus to prebent disease as well as counter correcting disease they could profit on both ends. If the medical establishment focused on preventative proncioles their profit margins would increwase exponentially and hopefully peoples health and wellbeing 🙏🏼
The UK OTC vaginal estrogen GINA tab would be awesome to avoid a doctors visit. North America woud LUV thiis option 🙏🏼😅👌🏼 Androfemme is regulated testosterone doses formulated specifically to women in the UK 👀 a tube costs 100 lbs and lasts approx 3 months WoW👌🏼😎 Thats Awesome WOW Interesting they are not used to paying over $10-20 pounds for any medical script as its not covered so considered quite expensive.

Would you suggest that women on hrt and also suffer with autoimmune disease should be on higher dose of hrt ?

Can we use the estradiol cream on our FACE???
she has another video saying yes you can.
@@mollieanne Oh man I need to find it! Thanks

It's the EsTRIol creme that you can use on your face 👍
Canada doesn’t have Androfeme or any OTC estrogen either.
Its my understanding that women need a mamogram before an HRT prescription can be given.
Education and prevention are taught in schools why not in medicine ?
I get a pellet and pay private.
