    Love these Q&As. ❤ Really don’t know where I would be health wise if I hadn’t randomly come across your utube videos which then brought me to all the doctors in the menoposse who I now follow on Instagram. Sharing the info with anyone who will listen as I am one of the “forgotten” generation who missed out on HRT info and now starting it at 63.

      @@nicolemerz1731 have you found good menopause Drs in Germany? I feel like I am in the twightlight zone here in Switzerland 🇨🇭! Can’t find a Dr who specializes in menopause and I have asked many of my other drs, friends, etc. I am a Canadian so trying to navigate health care system and language barrier has been a challenge. Luckily I found an Australian young obgyn and even though she is not all that knowledgeable she was willing to listen and look at references I brought to her that I printed off from various specialists including dr Mary Claire Haver, dr Casperson and others. She even prescribed me testosterone but had to do lots of research as to where a compounded pharmacy was that would do it

    Dr. Casperson you’re amazing! Such great information! I wish doctors would know all this, it seems like common sense!! What do you think of Conjugated Estrogen vaginally? I see there is Estradiol cream and the conjugated estrogen, does it matter which one to use or is one better than the other? I started using this 2 weeks ago along with 1mg Oral estradiol daily. Within a few days I noticed changes in my vagina that I’m very happy with. I’ve used it nightly for 2 weeks and now I will use twice a week.
    I’m 49 years old. I have to say, I did not go see a dr for the prescription, I went to Mexico and just bought it at the pharmacy, fits in my budget this way.

    Would you do a video on how to make the most of your 10 mins & the best way to stand out & make your dr care? Even once a year is probably not enough & part of the battle is getting them to care, understand & help you in such a short time. This is across the board not just gyno/urology, so any tips from a dr to help women be listened to & cared about would really be extremely helpful.

    I just had a second doctor's opinion about a just prescribed HRT I have (estradiol gel+MPA progestin), as I am worried about the MPA progestin, Provera in long term use. I was expecting that he would prescribe me a micronised progesterone with my estradiol gel instead. To my huge surprise, he told me to stop estradiol gel all together, and he prescribed oral combination HRT, Trisequens. I am more confused now than I was a few days ago! I was so sure the estardiol gel is the best way to get the estradiol part of HRT. I was always against oral estradiol, but of course I am not a doctor. Any experiences anyone :-)?

    Scheduling sex is a willingness to intimately connect/please your partner despite being uninterested biologically speaking 😉 The mind, heart and soul wants to but the body maybe beyraying us by not being stimulated which makes sex challenging and unpleasurable for example. It can tear people apart and destroy relationships/marriages. 💔😓

    I agree with everything, but I am amazed my grandma did so well without hormones. She had a hysterectomy at 45 and lived until she was 102. Never had dementia until she was really old like 100. But who knows, maybe she suffered in silence.

    • @nicolemerz1731
      @nicolemerz1731 5 месяцев назад +1

      That is a question I am wondering about too! 🤔

    • @mollieanne
      @mollieanne 5 месяцев назад +2

      @@nicolemerz1731 this is my view. But hormones are good for us, however, they are not the holy grail. Men get degeneration too, it is not like because they do not have the amount of estrogen we have or need that they will not get shit wrong. But it is just luck too and genes play a huge role as well as not abusing ones body with alcohol, cigarettes' and obesity and being too skinny. Moderation is the key too. I am not against HRT and think all women should be on it as well as Estradiol vaginal cream. But it is not saying that women who never are on it cannot have a good life. I know plenty of elderly women that never were on anything and actually had good lives and still are alive in their mid 80s.

    Anyone else out there have an issue with micronized progesterone ? Make them more anxious ?? Yes helps me sleep a little better but has skyrocketed my anxiety.
    100grams and makes me groggy thru day. Anyone else or am I alone on this one ??

    • @nicolemerz1731
      @nicolemerz1731 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@Karikk72 I heard that 5-10% don't respond positively - so you are not alone. But play around with dosage and route of administration (vaginally?) before dismissing it. Often the proportion to estradiol is not right or it might also just be a perimenopausal fluctuation of hormones 🤔
      Best of luck to you and your journey from Germany 🇩🇪
