    Well done lads.
    I went for a fitting and bag check with Derek last year.
    We decided that P-790 irons would suit my swing better than the Ping I irons that I had.
    Since getting them I have dropped 5 shots on my
    handicap from 17 to 12 and won the captains prize this year in my club.
    Couldn't state enough what Fore golf has done for my game.
    Thanks again.

    Nice review. I got fitted for the 2017 P790 with Nippon Modus 120 Stiff shaft. They ran out of stock so i got the new model of 790. Clubs are fantastic to hit and look at. I will have to do a gapping session to figure out if i need to weaken the 9 to 7 iron(if possible). Never hit a 9 iron plus 150. Great club

    Great review, I swapped out my old Ping 4i Crossover for a 4 GAPR this year and its unreal, so easy to hit. These look great!

    Great review, thanks, in regards to wedges are you suggesting going with the p790 Gap wedge and a 50degree or can you go from the p790 PW to a traditional 50 degree

    • @foregolfcustom
      @foregolfcustom  4 года назад +2

      Ideally the P790 head as it will keep the distance ratio consisted to the PW. Just make sure you bridge the gap. 👌🏻

    If you buy 5-aw now, are you basically getting the lofts and lengths of 4-PW from 5-6 years ago !!

    • @foregolfcustom
      @foregolfcustom  4 года назад

      Yea agreed kinda but the lofts had to move stronger due to the higher launches from the changes in lower CG and much higher flight. It’s why we don’t always use that loft profile here when building. We match the loft settings to the required setup of each player. Good stuff. 👍🏻

    Hi guys. Great review and Im thinking of replacing older TM RSi1 s. w R Reax 65 gm shafts.(5-PW a I already have Vokey wedges/50-55- 58)66 years old. 16 Handicap but working on game and improving. So I prefer the look of Mizuno HMBs but are P790s more forgiving than the HMBs?

    • @foregolfcustom
      @foregolfcustom  3 года назад

      Yes from what we’ve seen during fittings. The face of the P.790 has better speed retention from off centre hits.

    This is a great site good technical information.
    Right now my regular, steel KBS shafts are 65 grams. If I go from my 6 year old TaylorMade irons to a new set of P790's will I be able to get shafts like the ones I have now? And, will I see huge difference in spin and distance if I can.
    Basically, I don't want to see big difference in feel, flight and being able to hold greens. Using SpeedBlades with the KBS shafts.
    Looking at Mizuno 921 Forged and the P790's. Need to get the shafts right or I'll stay with what I have.
    Handicap is 6-7 at the end of the season, around 10-11 at the beginning of the year.

      @foregolfcustom  3 года назад

      Hey GSM, check your shafts again. As far as we know the lightest steel shaft from KBS is 80 grams. They don’t make steel in 65.
      Questions hard to answer. Sorry.

    Hi lads, really enjoy the reviews. I am very interested in the P790s, I am a 16 handicap would these be suitable for me? Can you give me a price on them? I planning on calling into ye in the new year for a fitting.

    how does the stock DG 105 VSS in stiff flex performs? Would you say it works for mid-high swing players?

    • @foregolfcustom
      @foregolfcustom  3 года назад

      Yep pretty good and will play & feel a little firmer and flight a little lower. 👍🏻

    Nice review. Question: I bought p790 2019 with Ns950gh (r). They came with a c9 swingweight which seems to be too low. Could you please confirm that even with this light shaft swing weight should be d2 as for every steel shaft (visible in technical specs). Thanks a lot for you response and you're nice channel

    • @foregolfcustom
      @foregolfcustom  4 года назад +3

      Thanks and glad you like the review and channel. Without specifying a swingweight irons will not come out of the factory with a consistent or “standard” swingweight. You have been given the heaviest available given the length and weight of the shaft. C9 is not excessively light and given the flex will play fine. If they feel light you could ask to gabs them reweighted to a heavier swingweight by Taylor Made? Good luck. Thanks

      @@foregolfcustom thanks. I've tried d0 and d1 at the range. D1 seems fine. I'll send them back to so they can be adjusted. Thanks

    Great infos. How does 790 compare to M5 in terms of distance, spin and forgiveness?

    • @foregolfcustom
      @foregolfcustom  4 года назад

      Good Q. Longer in distance as speed is higher. Spin is player dependent but generally P790 is lower by a few 100 rpm. Forgiveness is a tough one but I would say similar with speed retention on off centre hits is better from P790. Hope that helps. 👍🏻

    Great review. 12 handicap with 7 iron ave swing speed of 77mph. Can you make some shaft recommendations for the 790? Thanks and Happy New Year

    • @foregolfcustom
      @foregolfcustom  4 года назад

      Hey Michael, glad you like the review. We actually don’t rate swing speed as a guide for anything to do with shaft mapping for the client. The speed you swing at doesn’t really provide enough information to align it with a specific shaft. We would need a few more parameters to help you with that. Sorry but we couldn’t give you the right information without seeing you. 👍🏻
