    I just bought one. Mine is a 2 part system, a vest that I put directly on my bare skin the. The pack over my work shirt. I do hvac installs in attics that are 150 - 160 degrees. This thing is a life saver. We used to rotate guys every 20 min or so. With this pack I can work an hour or longer with no problems.

    "Doesn't really feel that bad".. after a very few minutes outside. I wish the demonstrator had picked up a shovel and dug a 30-foot by 24-inch deep ditch for a couple of hours in the 90-degree heat. THAT would have told us how well the vest works.

    You have to burp the air out of it stand it up when closing the water bladder and get as much air out as possible that will stop the pump from being so noisy and put less wear and tear and strain on the impeller of the pump

      OTR W/ Jay Lamar CompCooler makes a backpack model with a vest up to 45"- 53" chest size(3XL/4XL). There a size chart at cyclechillers.com/product/cooling-vest/#modal Look in 'contact us' tab if you have more questions on fit. Amazing cooling with a light weight highly stretch-able vest.

    Watching Aussie gold hunters in 40 degree Celsius degree heat = 104 degree heat in Fahrenheit. They always talk about the extreme heat in Australia - why don't they try this vest or something like it so they can continue to hunt for gold?

    It would be nice if they made a HEATER version with x18 times larger battery pack, and heated oil with pump, to circulate warmth around you during extreme cold temperatures... Very nice for all the people having to work outside, flag men, crossing guards, construction, telephone line men, etc... It should provide ample heat for at least 6 hours, and come with 2 battery packs and a 120v charger and car charger for truck mounting a recharger.

      @adsingl 3 года назад +1

      A battery system with heating elements like in heated seats would be cheaper to make and WAY more efficient. You get a direct conversion from battery electricity to heat, which is a natural by-product of running current through a wire. Your suggestion of heated oil might be a bit more even distribution, but there would be a second set of (battery energy) losses.

    I am working on a kit to tap into this vest and run it to the balls and armpits. I've used all the types of cooling vests except for air coolers. Personally, I think a cooling vest should be designed to allow as much natural cooling as possible.
    Despite using a phase cooling vest which literally has my full front and back covered in ice packs, still won't make me cool and comfy. When the ice hits, the skin shrinks the blood vessels and prevents blood flow, thus restricts cooling.
    Better vests are coming, ones which allows your body to cool itself along with a boost of cold water /ice packs.
    This vest is like all the others...insulates you, provides a coolant, but never enough to truly make you cold.....
    All these cooling systems will warm you up in the winter when not in use, how about one which won't do that?`

      I just got mine in today and the chest area is adjustable. The whole thing has straps on it all the way around and it's adjustable for chest, belly, middle area also. I'm gonna say that it will most definitely work for you or any woman, for that matter. It's very well built BUT my pump isn't WORKING and I just now got it in the mail. I thin they sent me a defective PUMP DANGIT!! But the vest is very well built and it's definitely a quality item, except for the pump is broken, but nobody else seems to be having this issue. It might just be the distributor that sent me something faulty on purpose to scam me, idk... I'm gonna try and get a refund.

    Why use water? Doesnt last. Needs gel pack. Needs removable washable liner with sm as ll vertical ribs for ventilation. 90 degrees F is a joke. I work in 45c.

    • @MrBlackBradPitt
      @MrBlackBradPitt Год назад

      Water is easier to move and keep circulating around the vest. Gel would take a much stronger pump to circulate and put out more heat. Making it overall warmer.

      I plan to get a similar vest that's water-cooled but using ice is a a waste of time just buy a bunch of those diabetic ice packs they are a decent hand size and put them inside the blader and if you want you could throw the entire thing in the freezer just buy some coolant that fits the freezer temp preferably want the coolant to handle -30 before freezing so yea imagine in the summer -25 chilled coolant flowing around that vest alongside the gell packs to hold that temperature longer in the summer time might get frost bitten nipple of you wear it straight naked in the summer lol sounds fucking nice tho in 38 degree heat tho or working in the kitchen at work where its like over 50 degrees in the kitchen or more

    Τhe battery is in wrong position!!
    You must place it somewhere else away from cold....the battery needs HEAT.
