I Love You, you are Amazing in all you do, no matter the style and you have your own uniqueness. Thank you for your music and for the medicine for soul it is, Thank You from the bottom of my heart. LOVE from Spain.💜🎆🎶
@@montego6783 Oh my my my. Last night, I sent this and Simple man to my 80 y/o mother. She LOVED BOTH!!!!!!!!! When I was a kid, my real dad played darn Bluegrass music. I hated it. He’d get out of the car Mother please. She’d find a rock n roll station for us!!! My mother would crank up the music and dance while doing dishes. Thank you mother, now I do the same!!!!
My 19 year old daughter loves these guys and so do I... She's going to be a doctor and I'm just a blue collar worker trying to get by... Proud Dad... She's a mini me when it comes to music and work ethic... 🇺🇸
The talent of these two is amazing! A REAL musician can do it acoustic, no auto tune, or any other 'enhancements,' just pure vocal. Very rare currently in the music industry. KUDOS to you!
Brent has done his best writing since getting clean and Shinedown's quality is only getting better as time goes on. This is probably my favorite song of the entire library.
Absolutely fantastic! This song has become my favorite from Shinedown. It just really made an impact on me the first time I heard it. Once in a rare while a song comes along that just grips you from start to finish. A Symptom of Being Human is one of those songs.
@@rage-quit69 this was I think 2003 at the state Fair in Colorado. The only songs of theirs I knew at the time was from the inside and burning bright. And then simple man happened. I was like are we sure Skynyrd wrote this? This is just my opinion, I believe Brent performed this song better because of the pure raw emotion he has when he sings it. It's a song very close to him. But yeah I was 100 percent a fan after that. (Shinedown, Trapt, Seether, 3 doors down.) Yeah it was on a Thursday evening in August 2003.
@@Navajo41 You're lucky to have seen them live I couldn't afford it when they came here I'm in Louisiana dude their lead vocalist some of his songs like staring down the barrel of a 45 and a few other ones that he does there's no other songs like that man....
@@rage-quit69 if the opportunity presents itself for you to be able to go, you won't regret it. I've seen them 3 other times. This year I'm going to see 30 Seconds to Mars July 31st and Breaking Benjamin October 4th
I’ve been listening to shinedown since I was 6 years old and now I’m 20…I think this is officially my favorite shinedown song. This song just summed up my last 6 years of my life. This is the most emotional connection I’ve ever had with a shinedown song. I never really fit in in high school and I have had anger and sadness building up throughout those years just bottled up inside me. This couldn’t have been a better song to listen to for the last two hours. It’s made me feel so much better.
When my son got married, he chose Simple Man by Shinedown for the mother and son dance. There wasn't a dry eye in the place. I love this song as well. Makes me feel a certain kind of way.
Love this song! Been a fan for years. Saw them in Orlando. Have big S tat on my right shoulder. 70 yr old fan. Retired and moved out of state 3 years ago. So not listening to music all day. Got some catching up to do.
Awesome acoustic version of the song! This song should be played on every radio station in the world. There are so many people with mental and emotional issues who would be helped by hearing this message that they are not alone. I wish I could play a guitar like Zach.
My favorite tour from these guys was the "Anything and Everything" tour. Full band acoustic from 2011-2012ish, clear vocals and notes with great back stories how the songs came to be.
This was such an inspiring video. I’m well familiar with the song. It’s my favorite Shinedown song, but rarely do we ever get to hear an artists raw unpolished vocals. As an artist myself who looks up to Smith as an inspiration, I don’t like listening to my own voice played back, even though everyone else seems to love it. It makes me self-conscious of my vocals, and causes me to lose confidence in my singing abilities cause I don’t like what I hear. Hearing the raw vocals on this song shows me that even the artists I look up to have similar sonic issues in their voice that we as radio listeners never get to hear due to studio production, and editing. The raw vocals show me that he’s human just like the rest of us, and maybe my vocals aren’t as bad I think they are, they just aren’t produced, and they’re raw, and maybe I shouldn’t compare my raw introduced vocals to the produced vocals that I hear on the radio for judgement. Thank you for keeping this recording raw. This really inspired me when I needed it!
Great song. I saw Shinedown in their very early days. In Jacksonville. They opened for The Gin Blossoms. 2004? 2005? Around then. Not this lineup It was Brent and the drummer. Bass and guitarists they have now came later. Plus a very hard aggressive sound. Brent was heavier, but sounded great. They stole the show. Even then, anybody could tell , at least Brent was gonna be huge!!
I just heard this song yesterday and am obsessed. My cousin and her husband work with #FirstRung, which is a charity for first responders who suffer from stress due to all the atrocities they witness. This band and song is perfect for that. Im now a fan.
Sums up my past ! Ended 2023 wit a lot of loss tipping it over ! 38 years of a firefighter /paramedic. Catches up w you and your life. Common C-PTSD diagnosis .18+ first responders take their lives everyday. We are human ! I however am better now. It’s not my fault ! I did save a lot of lives ! Worth being human to me!❤ God bless reach out if you need help ! No judgement !
This song evokes so much emotion every single time I listen to it. Been a fan from the first album. Even had my mother and son dance at my wedding to their version of Simple Man.
