Praying for you brother! You got this!!! More importantly God has you all in His loving arms and will carry you all the rest of yours lives!!! I am proud of you!!!
Praying for you! Wow 14 yrs! Congratulations and well done. Think back on how rough some of those roads were and see how far you've come. You are blessed to have a wife, a daughter and a mum. And I'm sure they appreciate you as a good husband, thoughtful, loving and knowledgeable dad and wonderful son. Stay strong, you've got this!
I kind of feel like we're in a massive VR, where there are NPCs. Additionally, kind of like NPC Man with Ryan Reynolds, once you know you're in the game you can play it more effectively. Similarly to the music video, she's reading her own story as it's being written. Now she can take over writing it. The true question is, will you beat the game before the World Server Event is over? How will your book finish. It is up the the writer. Make sure the writer is you.
They used to. Aside from this song their last 3 albums have been junk. Wish they’d get back to the early shinedown. Went from being my favorite band to hating this version of them.
This song is like a security blanket for the anxious mind. Highly relatable and reminds us all we are not alone. Love to all the slightly awkward, kinda weird, upside down, and not all here...human beings.
I agree and thank you, Love to you as well, I know most of us probably don't get much of it in our lives, it's nice to get it where you can :D People should love more, and harder in this world, it would be a better place.
@@TheStephbean34 No one gets out alive, every day is do or die The one thing you leave behind Is how did you love, how did you love? It's not what you believe those prayers will make you bleed But while you're on your knees How did you love, how did you love, how did you love?

I have worked in public safety/fire/EMS for over 25 years… this song is so on point, not only for society but for the responders as well. I’ve lost friends to depression and suicide, and struggled with PTSD myself. Never be afraid to reach out, regardless of who you are!!
So what do you do when you reach out and the person you trusted uses your trust against you? Safer to keep it to yourself and deal. Betrayal is the worst pain.
@@mattharp6237then you find someone else to reach out to. They weren’t worthy of your friendship if that’s what they do with your trust. There are plenty of us who can empathize with you and are always willing to listen!
Disabled GA EMT here, When I started my journey, my instructor and mentor made sure that we knew to talk. About a week later I was a witness to a bad wreck with a solo ejaculation into a rock face. I am thankful My instructor taught that to us. Be safe Brother
To all the people suffering from social anxiety and depression. Always know that even shinedown knows how you felt this time. It's just a symptom of being human and you are not alone. We are all gathered here for same reason.
@@timothygreenwood2315 It helps me when I speak out when I'm in the zone of this kind of thoughts. It's like drilling a hole on a problems you can't escape. I always say to myself. I have never seen the best in life yet maybe that is why I felt this way. Hope all for the best and well for everyone that has the same struggle.
This sing was like an epiphony to me Im not alone Im not a freak just have challenge its ok to be human. and it brought me great comfort to me. Shinedown gets me
I love Shinedown because of their honesty of mental issues, stress on life and love for each other and us as their fans. Best rock band out thier as we speak. They are amazing musicians and human beings. We love you, Shinedown. Rock on
I'm 42, don't really have friends, have a boss that thinks it's ok to treat people like crap, and i've pretty much been invisible throughout my life. This just about brought tears to my eyes. My wife supports me and I've learned that's enough and I thank God for her.
How can you be invisible and be the lighthouse in another persons life, at the same time? Who do you want to be seen by, a person that love you and want spend their life with you, or a stranger for whom you will just be another person in the crowd. You sound like a wonderfull person.
Thanks for posting that. Sadly I'm one of those tormented souls. And I'm NEVER seen. I float thru my sentence called life and am now 54. Never been a moment of peace. It doesn't matter anymore if I'm seen or not, cuz either way I don't exist. I've been dead for years. But I do hope your words uplift someone else. Before they cross the line I'm at. There's no coming back from this place. Just waiting to take my last breath and hoping I won't live to be a hundred. For those that believe in heaven and hell, I've figured it out. There's only heaven if it truly exists. This life is hell. Endless pain and death is a blessing. When you're finally allowed to check out, your sentence is over. The pain will stop then. It can't be any worse than life on earth. Just saying.
@@cheryljacques2758 May I offer some advice? Find something that makes the day, the hour, even the moment worth it. Doesn't have to be anything major. A cool breeze on a hot summer's day, a baby laughing. Even, as corny as it sounds, the birds chirping . Take life moment by moment. Yes, it is hard. Just keep trying. I don't know you but I see you and I see your pain.
As someone who suffers from massive social anxiety. Thank you for this song! Sometimes, especially in our current world, it's necessary to remember you are neither alone, nor invisible .
Every time I hear this I find it rather difficult to stop being upset 😢as I'm going through some really difficult situation from my ex-wife. I suffer with depression because of what I have been put through.
Never in my 42 years of being on this earth have I ever felt the way I do right this second. This song, his voice, this band is everything. Thank you for bringing to light what so many of us struggle with daily. I'm here, standing, kneeling, crying, screaming, helpless, and sometimes hopeless..but I'm f***ing here every day, fighting and struggling to make it.
Shinedown never disappoints. I'm going through the hardest thing ever and this helps me listening when I'm on my way to work. Grief never goes away. Feb 26, 2024 changed my life forever and I pray to get through another day. Thanks guys for another beautiful song.
As someone who struggles with their mental health daily, this song and video knocked the wind out of me in the best way possible. I’ve never seen a video better portray how it feels to be anxious, deal with intrusive thoughts, depressive episodes, and just... I feel seen and understood by this. Thank you, Shinedown ❤️
What a beautiful song that speaks to so many. I'm 59 and the last few years have been a struggle with my Mom's dementia. Prayers and thoughts to all those out there who are struggling today. My hope is in Jesus.
I. Can't wait any longer! The lyric that gets me is "sometimes I'm in a room where I don't belong and the house is on fire with no alarm". I actually quoted this lyric in my therapy group back in November. Thank you Shinedown for another amazing song and I KNOW this video will blow me away!
Unpack all your baggage, hide it in the attic where, you hope it disappears. This gets me because I battle with the thought of if those from my past have truly changed, and if they're now worth crossing back over that bridge to
Me too , I'm 39. Would definitely hang with another person just passing through having a good time. Look back and laugh about all the fucked up situations we've been through. Best to you brother.
It's so sad that this song isn't on every radio station. I think you guys are simply wonderful and you DEFINITELY still have that same magic that made you legendary to begin with. Thank you guys.
I agree Noah. My daughter loved Shinedown. Crystal struggled most of her 36 years - her demons were too overwhelming on 11/12/20 and she succumbed. Although there were a few Shinedown songs I liked, it wasn’t until after her death that I truly listened, and completely understood why she loved their music so much. Thank you Shinedown for bringing awareness and for letting people know they are not alone in their pain 💛.
In a way this song not being on every music channel makes it more magical, even though it's mental health month. That said probably it should be on the radio for the same reason❤.
I hear it on Octane all the time - but then again, that's literally the only station I listen to. I pay for SiriusXM just for the Octane channel 😂 😂 totally worth it.
I saw Shinedown in Daedwood SD on July 10, 2022. That was the day my dad passed a year before. I got put in jail a few hours later. I have been clean and sober since then. God speaks to me through this song in a way some may not understand. I love you guys 😢
57 years old. Anxiety, and depression have encompassed me. This song speaks to and for me. Just waiting for my invitation to the lunatic ball. Thank you!!!
Same here-exact same age even and am facing potentially a cancer diagnosis and if I’m being honest I don’t know if I hope it is then I don’t have to live like this anymore
I no longer have thoughts of suicide because of Shinedown and their incredible music. As a recovering addict and studying to become a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, I now work at the very facility I received treatment and my story is helping others fight their battles to.
This song feels like you could have been written for my little sister , Mandy. She was Born in November with blue eyes deep as the ocean. she was the most awkward person I’ve ever met in social situations but still she tried so hard to make friends. Mandy passed away in 2020 a few months shy of her 21st birthday. She was my best friend and my only sibling. The last concert that we went together was actually aftershock a few years earlier. Shinedown gave the most amazing performance. I have a video of me and her thinking along to Second Chance at that performance. One of my most cherished memory. I already have my tickets for your upcoming show in Sparks Nevada. I only wish that she was here to enjoy it with me.

Covid totally turned my life upside down. I went from being a heavy equipment operator to disability. On life support twice in a month coded the second time. Double pneumonia with staph infection and blood clots in both lungs and right leg. Had to learn to walk again. My son and I LOVE shinedown! My son at the time was 24 years old and took me in to his home when I was released from nursing home. Cared for me for 3 months! Took me to physical and Pulmonary therapy 5 days a week for a year. I always told him that our dance song for when he found the right woman to marry was gonna be shinedown simple man. Our first shinedown concert that we got to go to after my release from therapy We held on 2 each other and cried our eyes out on simple man. I was just glad to be with him at your concert and have that moment!!!!! Shinedown you have such a connection to he and I with so many songs! We don't miss shinedown when in our area!!!❤❤❤
Ok, so THIS song is always inside my head. I'm a dis-vet with a severe tbi. Dealing with issue a long time. Lots of substance abuse to numb the pain. First time I heard this Shinedown tune I said, "they owe me royalties! They wrote this about me"! In and out of rehab, actually started when I was overseas. Before the tbi. Lots of alcohol to numb the senses that was more emotional numbing. After the tbi substance abuse got way worse then diagnosed bi-polar. More lock ups in rehab and mental health than I can count. But hey I turned 60 this year! 5 years sober. Fight it every day. I'm no saint I use marijuana for pain, migraines x100 neck shoulder, All post brain surgery. Military connected. *Fight the good fight!! (Triumph song 1981)
Hugs. Congratulations on your sobriety. TBI is no joke. My brother is getting Botox injections for his neck And head pain. And migraines. I think it is through the VA. Look into it if you haven't already. He says they really help. God bless you daily.
This is one of their most amazing songs and is one of my favorites because it shows us that we're never alone and that we will get through all the hard times. Thank you Shinedown.

Felt a little out of place but I'm a addict who has been battling the streets and inner demons my whole life . I went and felt love . Thank you shinedown for making me feel HUMAN for a few hours .
Shinedown has a way of cutting right to the feels. BE well, and take care of you. You are stronger than your demons. You CAN do this. Think of your Mom, and that concert...and then keep thinking of things like that. Keep the best moments in mind always, because addiction will try and make you do otherwise.
I'm right there with you fam, and I play shinedown every single day to just sit, have a good cry, and pick up the pieces I left on the road miles back. You are loved and seen ❤️
Symptom of Being Human hits hard. It's like Shinedown put words to that feeling of being different, of never quite fitting in. You know, the 'house is on fire' panic mixed with the 'lunatic ball' isolation. It's about those moments when you question everything about yourself, but also finding a strange comfort in knowing you're not alone in this chaos. We're all a little messed up, and that's okay.
Dude I love what you said. I'm fukd up beyond belief. I'm in the fukn hospital because I thought hey let's take a little more Xanax. Sucks this song hits home.

The imagery of letting the coffee spill due to overflow is so perfect to describe the idea of trauma based paralysis. Life continues when you cannot. Complete dissociation. Its overwhelming in a way most cant ever understand. I've listened to this song several times, but this was my first time watching the music video. I cried when people started to acknowledge her and reach out to her. I am someone who lives in my own secluded world, not sharing my thoughts, feelings or anything going on in my life with others, but I still crave the feeling of having someone notice something is up and checking up on me. Nobody ever does, so my mind pushes me further into seclusion. I don't want to burden others with my problems, so I'll continue to fight this battle every day until I find a way to change it.
Hang in there, you’re brave for writing this and I applaud you! Seclusion is a safe place where we know the variables. We can control the outcome, and manage our feelings in a place we feel safe. Something WILL pull you out of this, trust me it will come.
I love Shinedown because every song is emotional to the band and to me. I feel a connection to their music. It hits a different emotion in me with the different content, melodies and lyrics. Shinedown has quite a few songs that I can do that to. When Brent got sober, his music got better. Same thing with breaking Benjamin. That's why they're my top 2 bands. ❤
I have it on repeat, first found this song on the radio, and forgot to look it up. I played cut the cord and seen this as I was looking at the songs under the video about 10:30 this morning.
People will argue they've sold out, that they're not "rock" or hard anymore - which is bullshit. They've found their higher purpose that other bands are too scared or too "tough" to do. They're giving us the music so many people NEED right now. Letting us know we're not alone, that things will get better. Their music speaks to our souls, not just our ears. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!
Where's the "love this comment" button! When they released the ATTENTION ATTENTION album and promoted it with Devil, the lyrics "It's about to get heavy" definitely meant in terms of the topics covered, which I am SO happy they did! People need to realize music isn't just about the sound, lyrics can be just as (if not more) powerful than the instrumentals themselves. I don't know of any other bands doing what Shinedown does.
I'm a combat veteran with PTSD Shinedown and Five finger death punch have helped so much with trying to understand things and help with the day to day.

BEAUTIFUL! MY MA AND POPS TAUGHT ME HOW MUSIC CAN SAVE YOUR SOUL.💜 I want to acknowledge my Pops. I was 12 when the paternal it walked away. Pops had barely been home after 2 tours in Vietnam. Took me a couple of years to honestly believe a male valued my voice. I was not allowed to speak when it came home. Sad and disgusting except that was my world. In my 60's now, almost lost him to cancer, Vietnam took out the hearing in his left ear, cancer took his right ear. Please, I am not complaining I believe this walk thru he'll is what got us together, otherwise I would not be here. Bless all of you! I wish you all peace, love and happiness.
I only discovered this song recently. It brought me to tears because it crystallized how i've felt ever since i was a little kid. Brilliant lyrics. Thank you Shinedown. You said what i couldnt say for myself.
Seeing Shinedown in concert next Friday! I grew up listening to them but never knew just how important they were to me until adulthood when I couldn't think past my anxiety and I thought I was crazy. They bring so much light to mental health and I love it.

Burning Bright was the first song I heard from them and it connected with me some 20 / 21 years ago. Been a heck of a journey since then, and Shinedown has been the backbone of the soundtrack over that time.
Same. I have learnt that you can't kill your demons, they will always follow you. How you fall down again depends on how fast you can outrun them. At least that's what I used to think until I heard Hozier's _Arsonist's Lullabye_ ( ruclips.net/video/VJ3AJ65FnXs/видео.htmlfeature=shared ) and a specific lyric from that song which was EPICUS! _"Don't you ever tame your demons. Always keep them on a leash"_
I struggled watching this video because of my anxiety. After five attempts I finally made it all the way thru it. 😢 I’m so thankful and grateful for Shinedown for bringing awareness to mental health the way they do!
I’m proud of them for speaking about sobriety and mental health issues. There are many of us that have struggled, so it’s good to hear we are not the only ones who hurt.
My wife and 2 children suffer with depression, and I battle suicidal thoughts almost daily. I thank God for the strength to push on. This song is amazing. GOD Bless you all!
This song resonates with me on so many levels. In short, it means "This too shall pass".... everything comes in cycles; happiness and sadness. Give yourself time. Love and be loved. Practice gratitude. Don't be scared to ask for help. You are worthy.
@brandonp7753 I grew up hearing that same thing and I have passed it on to my children and grandchildren. I think you and I are lucky to have been taught that. My mama, your father... fond memories. 🩵
I have high functioning autism, and I cried listening to this song. Thanks so much! It's hard when you try to be connected to others and you make so many mistakes and don't know how to do it right. ❤️
I love this band because it's not just some random words put together making a song it's actual meanings and problems people face and life it's amazing definitely one of my favorite bands!
My family believes depression is a personality flaw. "Just cheer up and you'll get over it." Today, it's just me out here existing day after day after day. I've played this song over and over, along with Second Chance. I haven't the words to describe what it does for my lonely soul. No one with this disease should be shunned and lonely. These lyrics are phenomenal in describing this existence and somehow normalizing it by letting us know we really are not alone. Keep it coming, Shinedown! We need you!
I've lost or outlived my family, and now at my present age have received certain gifts, still struggling with what I am and how to use these gifts to do good, the good Lord picks the right one's to carry his message while fighting evil, and no I haven't lost my mind.
There is no "Lord". It's only you and everyone else. No one is watching out for us. Once you realize that, then you'll give yourself more credit for what you accomplish in life.

I don’t really know what to say but know I care about you. Don’t count out the people you haven’t met yet. This life will have a much different chapter than the previous. Good luck on your journey. Don’t give up.
I absolutely love this song it reminds me of my husband who is battling stage 4 cancer and I've always been slightly awkward kind of weird upside down and not all here and this is so very hard to watch him go thru. I need strength I don't have and my brave face has too many tears. Thank you all for writing such a beautiful song. It will always remind me of him
I love this song; it has been a tremendous help to me. I’ve been facing a significant battle with depression, but I am fortunate to have a wonderful family and support system that has always been there for me. I am getting the help I need, and this song has truly provided me with great comfort. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I love this song so much! We are human and therefore are not perfect, and guess what? It's ok to not be perfect..be you and that is good enough and always will be~ Thank you shinedown for this truly REAL song. ❤💯
I used to listen when I was a depressed teenager. I never knew what it was. I never knew what abuse was. I do now and they got me through it. Everyone who is commenting here, I love you.
I'm 41 years old. Taken from my grandparents. When I was 3. They were raising me. While my mo.was struggling. With her ion addiction. My god parents took me in. Always reminded me. How I was a burden on thier family. Telling me my mother never wanted me. Wich was a lie. How can I put it. This song sums up. How I felt growing up. In a room where I don't belong. Wich is the family. Who always told me I wasn't wanted. Man, this song, in the long run, helped. Me get some closer. And realizing I'm ok. From the first time . I heard this song. I cried the cry . I so needed.
Man, I'd like to say I want you around...but I also feel worthless and like I am a burden so I already know it won't help as much as what you really need.
OMG!! RUclips needs a love button instead of just like!! This entire album means so much to me. Shinedown is amazing and continues to provide music from the heart that touches everyone in different ways. Seen them three times and will see them many more!!♥️♥️♥️
infringing into your privacy without your permission Strangers can become best friend just as easy as best friend can become strangers if you don't mind i would love to talk with you
I couldn't thank God so much after He saved me from bouncing off the wall several times. I always thought that would be the last of my days. I was saved and slowly being healed right now. It's been a year already but I still can't believe how I was moved out of that darkness that I have been in for 8 years. It might still be rough for me, but I know I'm doing good. This song reminds me of my struggles and who I really am. Regaining the pleasant me was a tough one but I know I'll get there somehow. It's all just a symptom of being human anyways.
I listened to this and for the first time in my 60 p!us years...I no longer ashamed of my 5 plus diagnosed mental illness 💜🌻🤗 I go to therapy, psychiatrist and take my meds.! I'm just a symtom of being human. None of us are perfect.
Holding on. Thank you for asking. How are you doing? I will only speak for myself I can't tell anyone I know exactly what you, they feel. My mother is 80 I turned her onto this song. Many Blessings y'all🤗🌻💜

This band is amazing. Their songs always relate to real life problems and what actually happens and their songs just help people that are going through it. Not one of their songs don't help, they all do and it's amazing. People that need help listen to these guys and it can turn your life around.
It has been out for 7 months now. Nowhere near #1. Not saying it's a bad song. Its very very very good. But no way will this surpass Watch the World Burn by FIR.
I lost my daughter to leukemia 3 years ago, my mom 2 years ago to Colon cancer and my little brother to addiction a year ago. 3 years, 3 losses. There have been times when I did not know how I would make it out of my grief. I felt like I was drowning. I have started writing a blog, which has helped me heal and hopefully will be a light to others struggling. Between music and writing, it has been my saving grace. If you are struggling, please do not be ashamed to reach out for help. Love to all ❤
Why doesn't RUclips have a repeat option? This is my new play on repeat, or rewind it a 1000 times. been listebing to Shinedown since 2000. They just keep getting better.
All of our problems will be handed down if we don't fix them. Give me the strength to accept the things I can't change needs to be changed to give US the strength to change the things WE can't accept. These guys never disappoint. Beautiful song.
As someone who has raised and supports a loved one with the high anxiety challenges, this song speaks worlds to me also. And to be honest, there have been times when every one of us have felt this way. This became one of my all-time favorite songs in just the last 3 days since I first heard it. This captures a lot of different topics and packs them into 4 minutes. Much how life feels with so much packed into so little time. But this does so in an excellent way.
I'm 32 years old, and I've been picked on and bullied, lost my Dad at 14, and I lost my sister to Breast Cancer in 2019. There was times where I wanted to go to sleep and never wake up. But I'm thankful everyday I get to wake up and live each day to the fullest. Songs like this give me hope to love and live as much as I can
Putting the lyrics into motion and it sincerely exceeded expectation. This video gave me literal chills, and I’d be lying if I said it didn’t make me cry because I along with the rest of us have been there/is there. The beauty of it is we’re not alone even when we feel we are. I am forever grateful for the powerful message that this song transcends and for the band that felt so deeply in their hearts that it needed to be shared with the world. It’s another phenomenal song that echoes within my heart and will live on in my memory for years to come. I really believe that the Planet Zero album takes us on a graphically epic journey that’s based on a true story where we are individually connected as a whole. Where rather than to stay divided we could all thrive in the acceptance of coming together and be who we are. We can do better and we can be better to one another.
the room was definitely very dusty for me just now. I sent this to my husband and mom both and told them this video is everything i could never put into words when they ask
Yes, I have found that Shinedown, with their beautiful rendition of Second Chance, has given me personal strength about my son's choice of how he chose to leave this earth. Notice I said how HE chose, or had others make the choice for him. All I know is the first time I heard that song, it was like Colt was whispering in my ear. And my soul and my heart were a little bit lighter. Thank you guys, for giving me some peace of mind. I actually sleep some nights, and I also sleep through the night most of the time. Thank you from this mother. And thanks for talking about mental health issues. Doesn't make us feel like dirty family secrets so much.

Shinedown puts into words what so many people have felt/are feeling, and it lets us know we're not alone.
And knowing we aren't alone helps tremendously!
This is so me! My mom passed from Cancer July 19,2023. I truly feel alone.
We ARE alone.
This song is like a security blanket for the anxious mind. Highly relatable and reminds us all we are not alone. Love to all the slightly awkward, kinda weird, upside down, and not all here...human beings.
Well said🙂
And my friends are coming tooo how about youuu
I agree and thank you, Love to you as well, I know most of us probably don't get much of it in our lives, it's nice to get it where you can :D People should love more, and harder in this world, it would be a better place.

To all the people suffering from social anxiety and depression. Always know that even shinedown knows how you felt this time. It's just a symptom of being human and you are not alone. We are all gathered here for same reason.

Well said. ❤
Accurate! Shinedown is one of the main reasons I’ve made it into my 20s ❤
I'm 42, don't really have friends, have a boss that thinks it's ok to treat people like crap, and i've pretty much been invisible throughout my life. This just about brought tears to my eyes. My wife supports me and I've learned that's enough and I thank God for her.
Your Wife’s Support Is Wonderful 👍 All it takes is 1 to make a difference in Anyone’s Life.
I can totally relate. My husband is my only friend and I've come to realize that's ok. He's all the friend I'll ever need. ❤
sorry bro keep ya head up :)
How can you be invisible and be the lighthouse in another persons life, at the same time? Who do you want to be seen by, a person that love you and want spend their life with you, or a stranger for whom you will just be another person in the crowd. You sound like a wonderfull person.
Hey bro, you’re not invisible. I see you and you’re not alone. You are awesome.
For those who don't realize or believe, you are seen, you are important, you are loved. You matter.
And you can look in the mirror and see yourself.
Thank you.
Hes amazing. Extremely powerful voice and the emotion he emits is indescribable. Thank you
@@cheryljacques2758 May I offer some advice? Find something that makes the day, the hour, even the moment worth it. Doesn't have to be anything major. A cool breeze on a hot summer's day, a baby laughing. Even, as corny as it sounds, the birds chirping . Take life moment by moment. Yes, it is hard. Just keep trying. I don't know you but I see you and I see your pain.
As someone who suffers from massive social anxiety. Thank you for this song! Sometimes, especially in our current world, it's necessary to remember you are neither alone, nor invisible .

Don't believe Shinedown needs that orchestra back up. May detract from the simplicity and true meaning of the song. The present music is perfect.🎉❤

Felt a little out of place but I'm a addict who has been battling the streets and inner demons my whole life . I went and felt love . Thank you shinedown for making me feel HUMAN for a few hours .
I hope you are blessed.
I hope you had a great time with your mom!
❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 being human
Symptom of Being Human hits hard. It's like Shinedown put words to that feeling of being different, of never quite fitting in. You know, the 'house is on fire' panic mixed with the 'lunatic ball' isolation. It's about those moments when you question everything about yourself, but also finding a strange comfort in knowing you're not alone in this chaos. We're all a little messed up, and that's okay.
Dude I love what you said. I'm fukd up beyond belief. I'm in the fukn hospital because I thought hey let's take a little more Xanax. Sucks this song hits home.

@@MDThompson51686 thanks I'm kinda on my own. Even though I live with someone I'm still alone with with everything. My BFF was murdered a month ago and I just lost it. Her boyfriend is on the run. So my only outlet is music and writing. I'm hoping that this iop group will help me through this mess. I'm seriously on the verge of a nervous breakdown. I can't talk to the person that lives here so I just hold it in. I just have to wait until Monday to start IOP and I'm praying that this helps. If not I'm going to get an invitation to the lunatic ball.

The imagery of letting the coffee spill due to overflow is so perfect to describe the idea of trauma based paralysis. Life continues when you cannot. Complete dissociation. Its overwhelming in a way most cant ever understand. Tv static in your brain as you are left an overstimulated mess to the point where if someone asks a basic question, not only does it not really register, but it doesnt really matter. Youre left in a nebulous state of beingleft completely floating in your own body as the world goes on. I have never felt so represented by a cup of coffee.

I'm a 17 year old, who has been suffering from epilepsy, and social anxiety, and I went to a shindown concert about 2 years ago. When I heard this song, I literally fell onto my knees, bawling my eyes out. I've always been alone in the dark, or life, because no one else in my family has the same conditions as I do. I'm starting to get better, but still in mental pain. Hopefully my epilepsy goes away soon.
But hey, I guess that really is just a symptom of being human
My son, 5 years old, is living with ADHD. Well, we are all living with it. The look on his face some days at school breaks my heart. He just doesn't know where he fits in.
Such a bright, caring boy. He will always fit within my heart ❤️

Take it day by day. It will get better.😊

Amen Brother 🙏
Where's the "love this comment" button! When they released the ATTENTION ATTENTION album and promoted it with Devil, the lyrics "It's about to get heavy" definitely meant in terms of the topics covered, which I am SO happy they did! People need to realize music isn't just about the sound, lyrics can be just as (if not more) powerful than the instrumentals themselves. I don't know of any other bands doing what Shinedown does.
I'm a combat veteran with PTSD Shinedown and Five finger death punch have helped so much with trying to understand things and help with the day to day.

This band is amazing! You guys have helped me fight a lot of demons inside of me and helped me a lot!

This song resonates with me on so many levels. In short, it means "This too shall pass".... everything comes in cycles; happiness and sadness. Give yourself time. Love and be loved. Practice gratitude. Don't be scared to ask for help. You are worthy.
"This too shall pass" ..... is what my Dad always told me when I was going through it. I always tear up when I see someone write it. :)

My late husband was very complex and this epitomes him, I loved him with all my heart I wish he was here. This was him, I wish he new other people where like him and not alone
