      "You would laugh Monster! Bet let me remind you;
      Within that weak sack of meat and bone, uncared for by his god and wept for by none, beats a heart, a human heart that carries with it the strength and courage of all man kind!
      Within that sack of meat inscones the hope, the will and the fury of every man, women and child within the Imperium.
      Within that weak sack of meat festund in thin armour with weapons only powerful in numbers beats the heart of a Man
      And for 10 thousand years the hearts of men have beaten strongly in defence
      to your so called powers.
      For 10 thousand years the hearts of man have stood united in a galaxy that despised them for no reason other then having the audacity to not lay down and die!
      For 10 thousand years your black crusades have been pushed back, beaten down and made a mockery off by weak sacks of meat with cheap weapons and disposable equipment.
      For that weak sack of flesh you so griefly mock is no super soldier, no immortal warrior no creature cursed by chaos like you! He is a man! An imperial Guardsman drawn from some corner of the imperium to fight for his species and for safety of those he loves.
      He is a factory worker, a farmer, a store keeper, a father, a brother, Mere man!
      And against creatures like you teaming and numberless, powered by the will of thirsting gods. He Holds The Line!
      He has held the line for 10 thousand years.
      So what's your excuse Monster!?

    I've had a couple ideas for Imperial Guard regiments.
    1. The 1,232nd Loift Panzer (walking tank)
    Heavy infantry supported by combat walkers. probably kitbashed heavily.
    2. The tyrannic division.
    After the discovery of the first tyranid Hive fleet, Imperial Guard regiments that were raised from the planet Tyron we're gathered into 1 flotilla, and they were even shown picked recordings of tyranids overwhelming guards regiments and cities.
    It was thought that it would be useful to stoke their hatred and desire for Revenge for their Planet against the tyranids.
    However this had an unexpected result, *mutiny*! The officers quickly put the Admirals under arrest and took control of the fleet.
    Tyran used to have a temple of the omnissiah and there's a bit of a revolving door between the officer Corps and the tech priesthood so they know how to operate spacecraft.
    They are a renegade Imperial guards regiment, still loyal to the emperor and the Imperium but they have made the decision to disobey orders on Mass and search for a new Homeworld to colonize rather than throw themselves into the jaws of Hive Fleet Leviathan.

    Imperial Guardsmen are arguably more brave than a Space Marine. Often Space Marines proudly proclaim they know no fear. Not that this statement is really to be taken too seriously as some have some have felt fear. But majority of Space Marines die knowing little fear. For one to be in fear that means they have something to over come. Guardsmen being normal humans have much to fear. From leaving thier homes and families to fight Rebels, Heretics, and even xenos and monsters like Orks, T'au, and Tyranids or worse Chaos Marines and Daemons. Guardsmen have much to fear and the bravest overcomes it and live a hero or dies a hero.

    Bruh imagine if a single squad of guardsmen traveled back in time to our time. And then compare their fighting ability, equipment, build, and bravery to a modern soldier or marine. Like how would they match up? Yeah the guardsmen has the lasgun but modern US Marines don’t have to eat corpse starch. The US Marine has a lot of bravery and courage and discipline, but can they compete with a guardsmen who regularly throws himself into the forces of daemons, xenos, orks and plenty of other terrible shit? I think it’d be really interesting. And then put them up against a squad of modern day soldiers. Have there be a battle or something, test their combat abilities against modern soldiers. No tanks, no vehicles, nothing except a squad of guardsmen vs a squad of US Marines or something. It’d make for a cool and interesting situation.

    • @calronkeltaran493
      @calronkeltaran493 Год назад

      yes and no. many battles during WW 1 and 2 had a far shorter average lifespan of soldiers. so for the regular guardsman to survive for 15h is quite the archivement, considering what they are supposed to fight.
