  • This is a how to video I shot of when I had to adjust my needle on my Yamaha Warrior 350. If your Warrior runs like crap from 1/3 to 3/4 throttle you may need to adjust the carb needle I need to.

    After trying to fix my quad for many weeks, buying new plugs and new air filters, adjusting the needle leaner fixed my issue. For me it was easier to remove the gas tank to have access to the top of the carb, but thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

    Thank you sir! My first atv and it was driving me nuts. I was bogging/stalling 1/4 - 3/4 throttle with the wolverine carb. I bought a zoom zoom warrior carb and it was giving me the same symptom. I put in new fuel line, fuel filter, new petcock, new spark plug, drained out whatever gas the previous owner put in, and put in ethanol free 91, and nothing. I found your video and I adjusted the needle. The needle came at the position 2. I moved it down to position 4. I'm getting the whole power band now. You the MVP! :)

    I take 1 minute and remove the reverse gear shifter out of the way. It actually saves time and hassle.

    Can you please tell me what's the outer diameter of the intake and output side of the carburetor ,I like to try to put that kind of carb on my bike!

    Great video, I can’t get the screws holding the plastic square out. They are stuck and starting to strip so I can’t take it out to adjust the needle. Is this the only way to do it or is there an easier way to to get the screws/needle assembly out?

    • @hadesomegamoto7639
      @hadesomegamoto7639  4 года назад

      yeah I think the Mikuni carbs are really hard to get those screws out. Make sure you're using the right sized screwdriver. You can try using an impact driver also. That's the only way I know of to take the needle out. If it's stripped you can try one of those screw extractors like a grabit or something or use pliers, but you don't have a lot of room to work with =( Good luck!

      One of mine was stripped real bad and other was moderate. I very very slowly worked them out with the right sized Phillips and a ton of downward pressure. After they were out, I carefully cut a slot across the top with a hacksaw on each screw so I could use a small flathead in the future.

    I can’t find any videos for jetting a 2013 raptor 350, the warrior is the exact same engine right?

    Did you have to empty the gas tank of fuel? I'm trying to fix or replace the throttle cable. Thanks to anyone who replies.

    Did it work or not man would of been nice to see if it runs right cuz mine falls on its face after 1/4 to 3/4 throttle was told the after market carburetors are no good and it's best to spend the money on the original 1for it witch is 300 plus dollars so would be nice to know if what you Did fixed it

      Glad it worked. For me it was just the stupid parking brake rev limiter, figured it out after tearing the carb apart three times.

  • @Bc5xdown

    I'm sorry but I laugh when you say..it gets easier every time. You dont have to take out a spring..or a slide...or take the carb off the engine. Or work on it on your knees. Or tilt the carb sideways. 25 min job tops...ill put a vid up next time im in the bike and you'll see how much extra pain you endured. You got it done..next time make it easier :)

      Brian Carpenter you actually have to do almost all of this to get the needle out on this carb. I know it must feel so good to think you’re right and so much smarter than everyone but you’re wrong and made yourself look like an idiot. Whatever carb you work on is obviously different.

  • @Bc5xdown
    @Bc5xdown 6 лет назад

    Alright I can't hold it back maybe you'll do it the right way next time. Why are you takimg all of this stuff apart?. Take off tank . tank three screws out of top of carb and take boot loose from carb. Take two s scews out of square plastic piece under needle mechanism. Grab needle gently through the intake side of carb. Let go of throttle and the needle will through top of carb and adjust clip. You took half the bike apart.....

    Number one I think you might have did okay with your carburetor not sure don't know what's wrong with your quad but your video was s***didn't help anybody and even if you did move at needle your clothes probably still not going to run because that's not the problem

    • @BubbaB43

      Dude your comment makes no sense. How do you know whether the needle adjustment height is this guy's problem or not. And why are you here watching a video trying to help solve problems if you already know how to fix the problems, he actually is doing exactly what needed to be done. Giving false information is one of the worst things you can possibly do because somebody might actually listen to your advice and screw their rig up. First off you spell check and proofread what you have spoken before making yourself look like a jackass again. Just trying to help
