    Thankyou for another awesome vid!!!All of us canucks need removable batterys for our crazy winters if your storing your bikes in the cold...I laughed when I saw the c-clip on the brake pad retaining bolt,then 20 secs later you come up with an awesome work around good job!!!I'm curious as to how long they last before issues appear please keep us posted...Cheers!!!!!

    Thanks for the review & amazing channel! I am a longtime Shimano fan - but a complete MTB 2x XT drivechain replacement & upgrade to 1x had me considering the SRAM AXS GX purely from a cost perspective. I eventually got a much better deal on the AXS upgrade & decided to try it: the biggest issue was my nervousness when I removed the internal cable hoses. My AXS gear changing is not bad - IMHO it's not as good as Shimano XT/XTR IMHO & SRAM will always sound/feel a bit "agricultural" compared to the engineered slickness of Shimano. The lack of cables on the handlebars is great & still makes me smile even after 2 years since installation! So overall, I am very happy with the wireless setup. I am looking with interest to the chinese products for a gravel bike setup - simply because they offer a bit better value, but don't seem to be as refined as Shimano. In the video, the EDS looks to be a bit more refined than the LTWOO but I will wait to see reviews of a comparison before deciding.

    I just installed the cable rim brake version on my tandem. There is definitely a learning curve in pairing and adjustment on bike with the app. One cool thing is the ability to adjust each gear on rear cassette. I mean micro micro adjustment. Every gear can be adjusted in extremely fine amounts. So far, very happy with it. And being totally wireless, no holes to drill or wires to run in frame!

    The non removable battery is a showstopper. Faulty rechargeable batteries are common.

    Great video, thanks for the details. If we want to run it on a gravel bike we might need a wider chainline at around 47mm... do we know what it is?

    This is tempting. I'm still on the 10 speed version of Sram Red. The price looks good and there is a cable brake version. Looks like a good way to add something new and old bike.

    I just don't see the draw for "electronic" shifting. It would seem to me that their is more concern for failure and then cost to either repair or replace. I have never had any issue with mechanical shifter components that if being "electronic" would have prevented, like for instance, a stick in the spokes that went around and literally folded the cage. I'm good with either SLX or XT.

      If you look at road, almost everything is wireless now. Or every groupset has a wireless vesion/ battery operated. I have them all but not on my bikes whwre I only use cable actuated mechanical

      SRAM and Shimano electronic shifting is extremely reliable. No cables, no replacing hosing and no routing. Plus perfect shift every time and zero drift.

    Impressive build, weight, aesthetics, and ergonomics. It'll be interesting to see how well the calipers do over time, though it sounds like the levers would be cross-compatible with Shimano. I hope you can cover shifting speed, battery life, water ingress resistance, and front derailleur trim in future videos.

    Can you mix the road shifters with MTB E-derailleurs? RD-GRX400 shift up to 11-speed 11-40 w/o a link. The 11-40 is a 11-speed MTB cassette which have different cog spacing at the smaller cogs than the 11-36 road. Is there an adjustment of the spacings?

      Don't have the MTB derailleurs so don't know. For capacity this derailleur should be able to use a 40T jut don't know yet about adjustments, if you can adjust to the different ROAD? MTB spacing. I would say why not though given how flexible the entire system is designed.

    Interesting to see company putting out new drivetrain, clearly electronic is taking over and will be become cheaper and cheaper. They still need to proove their reliability tough and i think that where the value is for big brand, reliability, access to replacement part, branding and mechanic knowledge for repair and maintenance. Shimano fan boy here.

    Are these components available through any other sales channel than dubious online platforms? Where do you get replacement parts from? What about warranty? Where do you have them maintained and serviced? As nice as these parts may look, there is no support infrastructure for them, and you are completely on your own when it's about making them work and to keep them working as intended.

    It looks like the wheeltop levers have more space under the lever for your fingers than Shimano. How many fingers can you wrap around the lever and still use the brake?

    The non removable batteries for the derailleurs is a no go for me I don’t have a garage my bike is in a shed and no place to plug in and I guess it’s going to be a problem for many people. It does not make sense. I like my SRAM AXS and on my gravel/ road bike I have mechanical.

      I guess it was an unfortunate term that I used...batteries can be removed just not for charging. They expect them to last 2-3 months anyway. In case of failyre/ repair they can be replaced.

      Phone just provides a Blurtooth connection to the hardware then links it to tthe Wheeltop cloud. Your phone/ phone number doesn't play a role, it's just the login that matters.

    Wheeltop is a deal breaker due to irreplaceable battery,i just bought ltwoo groups ,2 sets an aluminum lever and carbon,work great,hope they come out with rim version

    Finally with electronic shifting its so ridicules that you can not choose the amount of gears. Now the main questions is is it compatible with the mtb derailleur for the ultimate mullet setup. Or a one by version that supports big cassettes.

    Isn't this just a little less cheap then SRAM ? I don't get why I should use this.
    Also beware. They don't have the same IP rating as SRAM. Go through a river and warranty won't cover this. Right ?

    what i do like from wt eds tx, it very cheap even cheaper than 105 or rival.
    the battery if i compare with sram it bit last longer,
    but the down side it charge take some time. for long ride so far been test it for 600 kilo it still manage in one charge
    and other thing i not really like from this wheelset is the brake caliper it to bulky and look very cheap.
    the brake is ok but the look i don't know i just not like how it look.

    I just converted a bike to AXS Rival for about a $1000, with cranks.
    If that whole kit isn't under...$700'ish... then what's the point? Just buy the real deal.

    I always appreciate the reviews but like some others have said I have zero desire to add anything electronic to any of my bikes. I simply don’t see the advantages as every bike in my fleet runs XO1 to XX1 and it’s all perfect without any additional fuss.

      @@LoveMTB Some accessories always use energy, even when turned off. The original Merida taillight does this. I don’t see a problem getting rid of charging connectors and installing wireless charging everywhere; this will save time, money and nerves of users. but the battery manufacturer doesn’t need this? :)))

    Too pricey.
    £670 for 105 Di2, which includes shifters, FD, RD, brake calipers, crankset, cassette, chain, and battery.
    EDS TX £487 only includes shifters, FD, RD, brake calipers, and integrated batteries (no crankset, chain, or cassette).

    Proprietry barb and olive are a huge no no. I don't understand why the haven't used shimano ones. Also, that circlip is ineed ridiculous. Also, comparing this with a mechanical groupset does not make sense, it's oranges and apples basically. If anything you should have compared it with 105 di2.

    Having worked for most of my life with high end precision electronics, I am just not a big fan of electronic shifting. Electronics just add more points of failure.
    It has 4 batteries and 2 motors.
    I have a mechanical 105 on my Giant TCR, a 12 speed SLX on my both Giant Talon and Trek Fuel EX8.
    All 3 work flawlessly and I do not need to worry about which bike has a charged battery when I walk out into the garage and take any one of them for a ride.

    The design and packaging look great. A step fwd for Chinese bike parts. Maybe one day they will be on par with Taiwan, which I think is number 1.
    No removable battery is a no go. Batteries degrade over time. In the long run, a full charge may only last 1/2 a day!
    Nonetheless very refreshing to see something other than the big 2 S.

      Agree, refreshing. Battery can be removed just not to recharge. They expect one charge to last 2-3 months so that's pretty good.
      Also the universality of it, I'm sure the 2S bigs use the same tech they can firmware controll them to do whatever. Just keep it locked in, patented.

    It looks to be about 800 euro for the set, without cranks or cassette.
    I just bought Rival AXS piecemeal, with cranks, cassette, and chain for about 900 USD.
    The fact that batteries cannot be replaced, (even Di2 has that capability in its own way). You'll have to replace the entire unit, makes me vote this kit a big fat thumbs down.
    There is no upside to this kit versus AXS.

      Not quite non removable, just not externaly rechargeable. They can be removed, have a coupe of bolts for installation. They expect the battery life to be 2-3 months.

      @@LoveMTB This was the best of several unboxing videos I've watched. Showing app and practical setup. Last one I saw the guy hadn't a full understanding of the app and admitted it. He'd rushed it. By contrast LoveMTB was thorough and complete - his setup to frame will be as good I bet.
