Ubuntu Studio is such a wonderful gift to the artists of the world. Thank you for your thorough and well produced tutorial. Videos like this one play a major role in the mainstream adoption of open source software. 🙌

Fantastic tutorial, showed me more about setting up Jack and Ardour than any other video I've seen. Thanks.

I have had issues with my 2009 13" MacBook Pro getting hot running MX-21 (I founld a fantastic distro)? I am going to try your Lumbuntu distro and see if that helps. I'm upgrading to 8 gb memory. I have enjoyed your videos which have helped my 1st year journey into Linux with the MacBook Pro. Your work has helped me better understand the commands and software. I'll send support for your channel. Keep up your work!

@sjksteve All the best with Lubuntu. It's one of my go-to Linux distros on my Macbook. That said, I'm planning to upgrade my old Macbook's HDD to an SSD and more RAM to try the latest AV Linux spin. I might make a video on the process too. Thanks for commenting!

I have a later version of 2015 Macbook Pro 16 GB ram 250 GB SSD. Can I just direct install Ubuntu Studio onto this laptop or is it better to install Lubuntu first?

How you run in a 32 bit Mac Os apps from last Ubuntu Studio on 64 bit?

You could try running the command:
      sudo apt install libc6-i386

Linux seems like nuclear fusion: amazing, ready to save theplanet… maybe in 5 years. Til then, more energy in than out. Tedious. Just run garageband on that ol mac. Works finebon mine. For a couple of tracks.

@dasczwo Yeah it is a bit of effort but worth it. I wanted to be able to use the Macbook for more than just Garageband like surfing the net and a bit of graphic design which was so slow in OSX. I appreciate your comment.
