Fun fact, while filming this scene in Chicago, a drunk driver ran his vehicle into the side of the Tumbler. When asked why he did it, he claimed the Tumbler was an Alien Spacecraft he was just trying to defeat.
Happens daily in Chicago.
chicago moment 💀
Trust me bro
HAHAHAHAA😂
@dasdasdasdas It's apparently true, given that the film crew confirmed that it happened.
"Stay calm. You've been poisoned. " That always settles me down.
Lol...
Funny.
😂
Lol literally the worst thing you can say to someone in the middle of a panic attack
I’m sure he didn’t mean for it to come out like that. He needed her to be as coherent as possible til he could get the antidote to her
@@adamtajyar lol really? obviously he just meant "stay calm, hallucinations are not real (you have been poisoned)", why did you take this joke seriously?
@@agent000000008 he said stay calm you’ve been poisoned. He said that because he didn’t want her to pass out or fall asleep before he could administer an antidote to her because he wasn’t sure what would happen to her if she fell asleep or passed out
"He's not on a street! He's flying on rooftops!"
Lol! 😂
@City hunter 😂🤣😆
At least, tell me what it looks like.
*Tumbler is passing by*
Never mind. 😂
@@Simon_White Lol” 🤣😂
*I can hear this comment.*
Tumbler is without doubt one of the most badass vehicles in movies
Honestly one of my favorite Batmobiles.
Batman causes a lot of collateral damage when he's out fighting crime. Does the Wayne foundation pay for all of that ?.
@@benmartin8281 You realize batman is anonymous? If wayne foundation were to pay for all the damage, people would start to suspect who batman is
@@benmartin8281wayne enterprises paid for all damages caused by batman i think in one comic bruce decided to make wayne enterprise an ally faction to batman so it was more subtle
@@meemdoggoriginallongdrink And trust me, that's something that Bruce DOES NOT want.
The part where the security guard checks his coffee wondering if he's hallucinating always gets me lol
This scene never gets old..
Also Batman begins is underrated too.
You really think so? I think most people really loved and always praise this movie including myself.
oh look another underrated comment by someone with nothing of actual value to say
@@Lyndonswing nah, everyone only talks about rises and knight, this one is never talked about
Anyone raving about the car chase in The Batman should re-watch this scene. VASTLY more epic, without having to kill innocent civilians - and you're involved emotionally in the outcome. No comparison.
@@adrianbarac3063time have gotten myself thinking this scene is from The Dark Knight, but still I love all three movies from Nolan's trilogy, the best of all Batman movies imo
The way this was shot and edited, then add in the badass musical score. This was Nolan at his best.
Who you should thank for this soundtrack is Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard.

Hands down, this is the best Batmobile ever.
Yep, this, then Keaton's for me.
@@PetersonZF I think Arkham Knight Batmobile is second best tbh.
@@electriclungi3185 Better than everyone of them
If Batman was a real mfer he would he driving this lol
In terms of engine sounds tho 2022 Batman’s Batmobile was nuts.

"at least, tell me what it looks like?" - Gotham cop
The Tumbler roars by.
Gotham Cop: "Never mind."
@@stevencohen624 you got it, right.
Never mind
He has seen it before on the roof top
Nolan BIG MISTAKE
But the movie is GOAT ❤❤❤❤
Batman to Rachel : "Stay calm"
Also Batman to Rachel : "U've been poisoned."
LOL 😁
😅😅😅
I'd pay so much to see these three films in IMAX again.
This wasn't released in IMAX
@@Honestcritic79it was still in imax theaters
That chase scene with the music is awesome.....my dad can't stand superhero films normally but he loved that one and loved that scene in particular!
Hell ya me too!
For the first time
I feel like this scene really defined both Christian's Bruce and Batman. You can see he's having to switch between both. Bruce for her and Batman for the cops. He knows that time is not a luxury and does his absolute best to lose no time whatsoever, all the while keeping things as smooth as he can so that she doesn't succumb to the toxin.
Perfectly said! And it's also one of the first circumstances where he has to prove if he can handle being both.
Batman Begins is the most underrated super hero movie, the theathrical and comedy elements are so good
its not underrated at all.. no need to write this to everything..
VEONM 🎉
@@Light59583yes it is, people love all the marvel films saying stuff like no way home is the best movie but dark knight is the best hero/villian arc and movie 😅followed by batman begins. The dark knight trilogy is whats possible with 0 cgi just vfx(removing wires etc) so this batman is entirely possible in real life so it shows a sense of normality to us. Christopher Nolan is one of the best if not the best director ever. These films are criminally underrated
@@jontullett9068No Way Home is nowhere near as good as this lol I could even say most of the marvel movies aren’t even on this level maybe only the first Iron Man movie
@@jontullett9068It had some CGI, like Harvey Dent's face.
i love the stealth mode just drops out of view of the cop cars right next to him along with the helicopters
PRACTICAL EFFECTS BEFORE CGI
That's my motto
This is why the MCU sucks.
@@TheBatman39 ?
@@Imari-Tard name checks out
That's Nolan's motto too.
@@WhiteFangofWar Although especially in his early films (Batman Begins and also The Dark Knight) he used a lot of CGI. Most city panoramas in Batman Begins as well as the train scenes. Or the Two Face face in TDK. I think Nolan would work differently on this today, but back in the days CGI didn't had the reputation it has today.
This is by far my favourite scene of all the Batman movies. The music is superb and Christian Bale is amazing.
How that thing didn't break through a roof as it dropped from one to another is beyond me
I love sounds of this car so much! Engine, turbine, servoses - all this sounds too badass!
Unpopular opinion: For me, Batman Begins is better than The Dark Knight.
Anyways it doesn't matter you won't understand dark knight if you dont see Batman Begins
The audio effects guys outdid themselves that acceleration sound at 0:12 combined with the distancing between the Tumbler and the camera really put into scale how fast something that large and heavy can move
That effect is done by Hans Zimmer the composer of the OST. He said in an interview that they created a non-stop pitch noise for the car that imitates a non stop acceleration effect.
Keep in mind, the Tumbler was built to jump over rivers
He turns off his headlights and automatically disappears.
Car also has electric motor that’s how he was able to drive next to them without them hearing a sound. That’s why once the lights cut back on you hear the engine Rev back up
Same happens to me whenever I close my eyes. 😅😅😅
What if an ev tumblr is made damn it will be stealthy asfk
@@marcroe2420what happens batman haunts in your dreams 😂😂
This was and forever will be my Batman.
Me too
This is still the best scene from this movie.
Bale perfected the Batman voice in this movie
Batman just playing GTA in Gotham City
Ha..ha..ha.. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
With a 5-star wanted level ;)
I just love the twist they made on his "batmobile". It is not your typical vehicle with bat design on top like the ones from Adam West or Michael Keaton. But more on a tactical side.
Batman freeing Katie Holmes from the Scientology building haha
One of the most unique Batmobiles ever made.
1:42 the sound the wheels make when sliding are perfect. Really well done sound effects. Love to make them do that in Arkham Knight ;)
0:03 yeah I won't panic 😂 I am okay I am okay 😂
Classic. - still holds up. I remember seeing this in theaters - I was 20 .. having grown up on Batman TAS this was a godsend for us real fans
2:23 That engine roar gives me the chills!
Nolan is a Genius for using practical effects and putting this in a hyper reality. I think I went to see Batman Begins 5 times in the theater .
2:21 will always be my favorite, shows his inexperience at driving it first time
‘Just hold on. RACHEL!!!’ ❤
0:56 Compact ha ha ha.
1:02 The helicopter lights up the film crew.
1:04 - 2:32 Twin brother?
" Stay calm "
" You been poisoned " Batman is savage 😆
I found funny how this 1:03 cop tells Batman to turn of his engine and later in 2:32 he forgot what the Tumbler looked like. Or maybe its just his identical twin.
The Tumbler is definitely my favourite version of the Batmobile, with Keaton's version right behind it.

I hate the suit in The Batman, and I hate how Pattinson looks in the suit. Just doesn’t look right.
He looks like one of the guys that copy Batman from the beginning of the Dark Knight.
@@brosephh7130 Looks great to me. Idk what you are talking about
I agree. This is way better. The Batman, you can barely tell what’s happening. That movie is so overrated
This is my favorite scene in the movie.
I like how the last hold on wasnt in batman voice, that was bruce pleading for rachel.
Noticed that too. You can feel the desperation and fear in his voice.
Am I the only one who noticed that the cop on the parking garage roof when Batman was cornered teling him to give up is the same that's in 2:30 asking what does the tumbler look like? Editing fail that probably went unnoticed.
Nurse: Doc the baby is stuck!
Doctor: 1:14
My favorite Batmobile! Love how it can split apart!
The sound of the Tumbler is so badass
Like a fully accelerating Tesla :)
This movie is still one of the best and most innovative interpretations of Batman. Feels like a stwp bsckwards to make Batman more realistic than this in 'The Batman' when Nolan found a perfect balance in this film.
I love a good car chase scene
Wana race with my black bat mobile
Always got a vibe from the 1989 Batman movie when we was going down the trail to the batcave
*1989* to be exact.
But i get you.
@@leonardobraynen1524 It was a typo.
Hands down the best Batman franchise..and this scene never grows old never..bad as Batmobile !!!!!
"he is driving across rooftops.!who is this guy!"
Funny part is that the same police officer appears on the roof and then he appears again asking what batmobile looks like. Lol
"At least tell me what it looks like", followed by THAT NOISE 🤤🤤🤤
“Nevermind”
When the Tumbler activates weapon systems and Batman goes down, it’s pretty comical considering Rachel is right there! Lol
This was the most Easiest Nolan movie to understand
I love that every cop that witnessed the tumbler in action questioned their sanity atleast for a second
Seeing this in theaters for the first time must have been amazing
This movie has a significant role of shaping my personality....
We all can be batman just we need money 😂😂
And Raas Al Ghul
But beyond that is the motivation to fight for..
the change in music at 3:42 is one of the most epic feelings you'll get watching an action scene.
Driving on Rooftops, well who would have thought of that idea during a hot pursuit?
Hands down the most badass batmobile ever!
The moment he says Rachel that was epic
Ok, when I am driving myself, or someone home to drop a deuce, this is how I imagine I drive.
No CGI, and a memorable scene! Almost 20 years and still AWESOME!
4:12 LEGENDARY
Imo this is the best song in the trilogy it has this emotional gravitas to it and almost sounds like a waltz.
¡Esta escena es mi preferida y me gusta mucho gracias Christian Bale por tu papel en esta película para mi sos el mejor 'Batman' que he visto hasta ahora de nuevo muchas gracias!!👍😊
“Stay calm, breathe slowly.”
Proceeds to drive the mobile in the most bumpy and intense way to Rachel possible.

Batman is SIGMA😂😂
The roar of GM V8 is ear pleasure
Duramax or Vortec??
@@DrHouse2004 not sure. It’s listed as a 5.7 liter GM V8 capable of 500 hp.
The chase scene in all 3 of the movies are similar, all awesome but all three made extraordinary by the same music.
¡Cómo me gusta esta escena y quedó buenísima gracias!!👍😄
The tumbler is just so badass. It is built like a tank with a v8
The best moment of the movie. I love It. This is the best Batmobile of Batman.

Batman: Heck everyone else's property.
This scene is the most exciting moment in my movie experience.
The nevermind always gets me
Real heroes don't always wear capes.

Amazing Video Sir
Dark Knight was a near perfect movie, but still would've preferred Katie Holmes to replay the character or ditch her altogether.
@@robquin1525 not quite, she turned down a return so she could star in Mad Money instead, which ended up bombing at the box office
When he says "just hold on" he ain't even using the voice, he's just scared
I love the new Batmobile....but the Tumbler is still the benchmark for me. Still my favorite Batmobile.
I remember watching these scene in the theater. When the tumbler emerged, the entire theater for the rest of these scene was quiet. We all appreciated what were were seeing and for that brief few moments, along with the amazing soundtrack booming, we believed.
Low-key don't get all the raving about Pattinson's Batmobile and how it looks/sounds like a monster, when the freakin' Tumbler's right there!
fr
I like how this is a practical and realistic vehicle, but still has an awesome look to it
Never realized but after re watching this exact scene when he yells “Rachel” he does a full head turn even with the one piece cowl he has his head technically is still fully flexible and able to turn his head!
The Structural design of the tumbler is that it can withstand immense amount of damage but not against weapons like RPG and missiles .
Casi nada de cgi,las persecución es real, tuve la suerte de ver esta trilogía en cines💗
The tumbler was a great design
I love how the road will rage because of that kind of tumbler, especially the roof of who ones that bricks 😭
¡Este batimovil es formidable y muy temido gracias!!👍😊
This was an awesome sequence!
This a art. The best movie.
❤❤❤❤ yeah its pure art... Every movie of Nolan is an experience in itself it changes ur perspective totally towards life
I wonder how many cops batman routinely cripples or permanently damages on a nightly basis. Mans a worst menace on the streets than a drunk driver.
"Sir, suspect has been sighted heading towards Wayne Manor!"
My favorite scene in the whole movie
