What thermostat do I buy to upgrade from stock?
I used Bavlogic to custom modify my 105C to 95C though I prob should hav ewent with 90C. By going too low, you run a risk of a cel, tstat stuck open code.

Old time race trick ! 2 drops of dawn soap works just as well a water wetter! and BTW if you hook up your AIF to bring in air from the Factory system and extend the tunnel to the Grill you will pull 30 to 40 F less instead of pulling Hot radiator heat ,you will pull outside air ! Very easy to do and worth more than all mentioned in this Vid !

You’re absolutely right BMW Turbo in-line 6 engines run about 40 Degrees Fahrenheit hotter temperature than other high performance engines.
Like you said, the longevity of the engine is being sacrificed severely as a result.
What aftermarket engine thermostat are you running?
You and I have a similar engine bay, aside from the intake (I have injen) but have you ever thought about going upgraded turbo?

Direct from CSF :)
I only got mhd cooling on Sport and no Problem with heat.
Water and Oil Perfect temp
Water 90-103 and Oil 95-105
No thermostat or other Radiator 🤔
Running Stage 2 +
Temp in Germany is Summer about 30-35 Celsius
But Good Video 👍
