- this video is for those who want a bigger oil cooler for N54 and n55 engines, and wants to have that OEM feel to it, you can use your stock oil lines and mounting position with this cooler. so you don't need to use some aftermarket lines or anything, it works great and is a bolt on jobb.
the video only shows that it work i didn't have time to film step by step, but its a super easy jobb, you can easily do it yourself.
will stress the car on track soon and se how big difference it makes, so stay tuned for more updates. - Авто/Мото
Fantastic video... really good to know for 1M owners.
Awesome more good info thanks
I’m looking at carbon break set up for 1M.
Can you point me in the right direction I feel you know so much more than I do.
Cheers Michael
Can I use the stock thermostat with this?
Yes absolutly, i have stock one in now, its bolt on
thxs for vid! how is it holding up and did you end up cutting the front bumper for more airflow?
It works great, was down on nurburgring i August around 25 celsius. And had steady temp at around 115celsius 👌🏼
@@TwistyRoadsSE that’s great and all you did was install an OEM M3 transmission cooler and re-purposes it as a 1M oil cooler🧠🧠🍺??? Did you end up putting your oil thermostat back on?
@andreagate542 no, i bought a uppgraded m3 transmission oilcooler that is dubble the size from stock m3 and 1M/n54 cooler. This summer i testet it without the thermostat, and it was hard to get the car up to temp, so i Will probably install the mossleman thermostat this Winter.
@@TwistyRoadsSE nice real world testing!!!!
@@andreagate542 Thanks, for track use it perfect without a thermostat, but when cruising motorway it is running a litle to low
Motorway Cruise is around 75-85c so would like to have atleast 85-95c
Outside temp around 25-30c when testning
Lovely. Very loud car though….
It has valvs, and it was fully open there. Plus a 6-8 month coldstart 😁
