these settings made me get a lot worse framerate, dont suggest this guide. maybe if you played windowed mode or something this helps? but I play fullscreen because it makes the game run better and you get quite a bit better frames from that alone.
My videos are what my settings are 🤪 I don’t want to purposefully make DCS run and look like crap haha it’s taken me this long to get it to where it is looking now haha 😂 but I get what you’re saying 👍🏻
Depends. Openbeta gets all the new and fancy stuff and early access modules first, but openbeta can and regularly will introduce new bugs, that take up to a couple weeks to fix. If such a bug hits your currently preferred module or causes issues with a tournament, squadron training etc. this can be annoying. So if you are aware of this and like most of us can live with the occasional wtf moment and keep your cool, it is well worth going with the openbeta. If you have a very limited amount of time to fly missions and hate dealing with bugs or small issues, stick to the stable. The update frequency when new stuff gets into stable has already improved, to a couple weeks or worst case some months if there are resilient bugs, but stable is... Well, more stable than the open beta build. 😇
Why isn't there a program that auto detects the best settings for your system for us numpties? Interesting to see you don't use v sync. Without it selected, I get quite bad screen tearing, especially with track IR. And no full screen? You animal playing in minimised windows!

@@TorniQuetHD I've been playing around with the graphics settings a lot since posting this message. I've found on my system that I can get far far better looking game with zero drop in fps. System is i7 9700k, 32BB DDR3200 GTX1070. Running 1440 60fps. Without vsync, I can get 120 fps but it actually plays much worse!! Feels far more stuttering. My monitor is 4k 60hz so I guess locking fps to refresh keeps it smooth. I shut down nvidia settings, turned all textures to high, shadows to high, draw distance too and it all runs fine at 60fps. I've left all the AA settings as standard but turned off all pointless stuff like you have... Traffic, turbulence, etc. It looks so much better than default and runs consistently 60 fps, with an occasional drop to 58. Besides Marianas map, low level flight, my frames drop like the bass in a rave.
As long as there are memory leaks. Your just brushing a dead horse. After 30 mins to an hour. Memory usage goes through the roof and requires a restart.(64gb of ram) Ed needs to fix it and stop dragging their feet. You can disagree and that's fine. I could go into more detail. But I don't believe it's needed if you've been part of this game since THE BEGINNING.
You should look into your system. I play easily 2-3 hours plus, wether hosting myself or on a server... So I am pretty positive it isn't something in the DCS main code, as it would affect everyone. Try to figure what's different in your setup. VR? Specific Module(s) where this happens? The same server?
@@shagrat47 ok..... what do you think would cause that. Because I don't think you know what I'm talking about. Soooo prove me wrong. Because with that paragraph you wrote. Is you just calling me a lier and I can't agree with you.
@@orleansjunky4074 I do not call anyone a liar. I've seen the weirdest things in IT over the decades, but I expect this to have a root cause in anything a bit more specific than "DCS". I know for a fact, I play average 2-3 hours sessions every weekend with a bunch of friends. Either we use a buddies dedicated server or I host myself, without any performance degradation. Not after 30 min, nor after 3 hours. We had things like the occasional disconnect, rare desyncs or a full blown crash midgame. None of these regularly, just occasional. Mind you, me and a small core of friends, playing "DCS" in multiplayer since LOMAC. So what I am saying is, there's likely something that causes the memory leak. It may be a specific Module, an add on like TacView, an asset in a mission, a script that happens to start schedulers in a loop or something completely unrelated to DCS... The best course of action in my experience is to troubleshoot systematically. Does it happen everytime? No matter if Singleplayer or Multiplayer? Dedicated Server? Every Server? With every module? What if you reduce the setup/peripherals etc. etc. Do you have buddies with the same issue? What's similar to your rig and setup, what is not? Sometimes a simple RALT + RETURN works wonders, after Windows decided to focus an application in the background, while displaying the Simulation in the foreground...
background max framerate is for slowing down framerates when application is not your focused app in windows. youd be better with 60 than 144. just a heads up. In a mid to higher end PC Id just leave it off honestly.

Nous avons tous des machines bien différentes, et je pense qu’il n’est pas recommandé de suivre un tuto de réglage d’une personne comme ici. C’est forcément utilisé pour certaines machines et néfastes pour d’autres
I have to keep loading stable and beta to try different things its so much time waste. The dcs website don't have a tutorial. So now I am saving keyboard profile, then throttle hotas and right stick hotas.. that's just for f18. 3 profile files need to be saved and then loaded there. Edit: after a while I did the in game save and load profile method and it worked for me. I did not pursue the input folder copy and paste method that did not work at all.
yeah just stick with open beta mate, i don't even have release installed on my PC at all
@@TorniQuetHD Cheers bro. I am enjoying the Rising Squall module's Tutorial so much. I think it is something you can recommend to your newbie audience once they do yours. I keep learning more and more and my enjoyment is increasing! have you tried the tutorial part of it? I haven't started the campaign yet. Just doing CCIP training now with that module.
@@erfguuipo8084 nice mate, glad you’re getting into the swing of things now 👌🏻 nah I haven’t played that campaign yet
@@TorniQuetHD It had good reviews.
I use DCS on steam, does this work for it?
Even after all this dcs still stutters especially when using the su 25tfrog resize bar enabled i7 12700 with rx 6700 xt and 32gb ram
Oooooooof… fingers crossed that when the new vulkan engine drops we get a massive performance boost 🤞🏻🤞🏻
@@TorniQuetHD let's hope
Hi I installed and launched Beta. How do I now it is beta the screen looks the same ??
Just make sure you clicked on the exe file in the dcs open beta folder and your good to go. They look the same mate, just open beta gets all of the hotfixes and patches first before release version.
Hey are you using open beta? I'm using the normal one.
Open beta mate, get access to all of the modules and cool toys straight away
@@TorniQuetHD Sorry what cool toys? I thought you only get the modules after buying them? I just spend $200 yesterday on Syria, Persian Gulf, Supercarrier, Rising Squall and soon I want to buy Raven one. What do you recommend!>>?>>>>>??? I am spending to much money!
@@erfguuipo8084 you can't use modules you don't own even on open beta...it's just that for example that if you buy apache, then it's released in open beta version first, and after few patches its released to "stable"...stable version gets patches later, but is more "stable"...you can even look at both change logs at dcs web...you have nice set of packages there, don't have to buy anything else...i think that you have some carrier capable aircraft too, so learn the jet, learn carrier operations, play some campaings...then try hop on some online servers and you would see, that fun begins there....
and don't forget that you can "try" each module for 14 days for free, in your profile at dcs web....except those under heavy development like apache
What does Heat Blur do in graphics ?
Heat haze from engine exhaust mate
@@TorniQuetHD did you set it?
I am confused Can i install Beta and have both beta and non-beta? If I install the BEta now will it wipe the hard disk and replace the non beta with beta? please help.
they are like 2 separate games mate, you can have both installed at the same time, you just need the hard drive space.
@@TorniQuetHD thank you. Any big differences in terms of game play between the both?
Nope same game, just open beta is where all new features get tested first before going to stable release version
@@TorniQuetHD I'm wondering if I should get it. I'm quire new to dcs. Is the benefit there or not so for newbies.?
@@erfguuipo8084 if you play single player, you don't need it...but vast majority of servers run open beta
Bro wuds Ur pc specs.
these settings made me get a lot worse framerate, dont suggest this guide. maybe if you played windowed mode or something this helps? but I play fullscreen because it makes the game run better and you get quite a bit better frames from that alone.
Wheres Reshade
At some point in the video, you should have shown what the settings looked like in real-time! Just sayin'.
My videos are what my settings are 🤪 I don’t want to purposefully make DCS run and look like crap haha it’s taken me this long to get it to where it is looking now haha 😂 but I get what you’re saying 👍🏻
@@TorniQuetHD Good video nonetheless! Thank you!
@@whammo11224 glad it helped you out mate 🙏🏻
I'm not using dcs open beta is that an issue ??
yes it is, delete the version of dcs you have now, and then download the DCS World Open Beta
Unless you want to wait a year or two to get to stable
What shagrat said mate ^^^
@@TorniQuetHD but what are these new features that stable don't have? Do they say it somewhere ?
Why isn't there a program that auto detects the best settings for your system for us numpties?
Interesting to see you don't use v sync. Without it selected, I get quite bad screen tearing, especially with track IR.
And no full screen? You animal playing in minimised windows!
Haha I don’t use full screen cuz I want to be able to click on my other monitor and not have DCS black screen on me while doing it. There is many areas in DCS that could do with a good revamp, hopefully they get to them all eventually
Off topic: How are you liking this wipe?
For tarkov???
@@TorniQuetHD yessir
@@iKiNGiTGK tbh I haven’t even updated it since last wipe haha
@@TorniQuetHD avoiding the pain huh?
Hahaha yeah a bit like that 😬😬 it is a cruel mistress
@@shagrat47 Agree
@@shagrat47 ok..... what do you think would cause that. Because I don't think you know what I'm talking about. Soooo prove me wrong. Because with that paragraph you wrote. Is you just calling me a lier and I can't agree with you.
@@shagrat47 actually scratch that I know nothing is wrong with my system. Unless you actually have some knowledge too drop
RTX 4090 and 13700k will run this game no problem.
background max framerate is for slowing down framerates when application is not your focused app in windows. youd be better with 60 than 144. just a heads up. In a mid to higher end PC Id just leave it off honestly.
Thanks for the info mate, I definitely got a boost from changing it from 30 to 144 but will drop it to 60 and see what it does for science 👍🏻
@@TorniQuetHD it's for when you alt +tab out of the app for example. It has no effect otherwise.
