  • How to make crepes from scratch | Thin, soft and with crispy edges. Welcome to 2-Minute Tuesday! This recipe is so easy to make and easy to remember. I've been making this recipe for years because my son looooooves them! Now, I share them with you.
    **RECIPES & METHOD BELOW**
For those new to my channel (subscribe now bit.ly/SubscribeToJillianButler), I am Jillian Butler from Sydney Australia. A few years back, I left my corporate job to pursue my passion for food and baking. I started a successful cake shop in Sydney that I ran for 7 years and there were lots of lessons that I learned along the way. Now, after selling the business, I’m making more and more videos to share the insider baking secrets of professionals. I hope you enjoy it as much as I love sharing it with you. Shorter videos and inspiration available on my Insta reels! @jillianthefoodie #jillianthefoodie and Facebook pages / jillianthefoodie
    Recipe
    2 cups Whole milk
    1 Egg
    1 teaspoon Salt
    1 Tablespoon Sugar
    1 cup (packed) Plain Flour
    2 Tablespoons Butter
    Method
In a blender, put all of the ingredients, except the butter.
Blend until thoroughly mixed, then heat
your crepe pan and melt the butter.
Add the melted butter to your mixer and blend until mixed in.
Take a paper towel and wipe all of the excess butter from your pan. The more butter you have remaining in the pan the more change the batter will stick to your pan.
Get your crepe pan really hot - wait until you see it smoking.
Pour your batter into the pan and roll it around. Pour the excess batter back into the blender and place the pan back on the stove. Crepes MUST be super thin.
Cook until the bubbles disappear (approx 30sec-1min). Release edge with spatula, peel the crepe up
with your fingers and gently flip it over.
Cook for a further minute on the other side. Repeat this process until all of the batter is gone.
    Makes 10 crepes.

In South Africa, we call these crepes "Pancakes" and top each layer, as we take them out the pan with cinnamon sugar and serve with a slice of lemon for those who like a slightly tartness to all that sugar....I made them yesterday because it was cold here and we consider it 'comfort food'. Thank you for an amazing video.

Hi Rabia, haven't made doughnuts since I was at culinary school but sounds like a good challenge to me! Which do you prefer - cinnamon sugar cake dougnuts or glazed fried doughnuts? Yeee!!! J
