I want to like to have friends that are girls that girls to have a crochet blanket and I want to like to make a crochet blanket and I want to like this video
I am super excited to try this pattern, I've been looking for a unique blanket that I can make as a gift for a very dear friend... I'm planning on using Bernat Blanket Yarn... Any pointers for that conversion?
I love this blanket! I saw it on ig and just had to make one. Your idea of making it a scraps blanket actually gave me the idea of using my grandmother’s left behind yarn to make a Mother’s Day gift for my mom. This is her first Mother’s Day without her and I think this would be perfect 💕Especially being that my grandmother is the one who taught me to crochet.
Omg that sounds like the most perfect gift ever 🥲🙌 Such a smart idea! So sorry for the loss of your g-ma. They are the best relatives ❤️ Since mother's day has passed, did she absolutely love it?
I made this. My hubby loves it. He is so happy that I am so Crafty. Every time I watch the RUclips videos, he knows I’m learning to make something. He loves the blankets I make, and so does the rest of my family. Thanks for sharing.
This is so pretty! I go to Walmart and buy a pillow for $3.44 and that is what I use for the polyfil in my dolls and projects, it works great and is a lot less expensive than the polyfil in the craft section.
Does anyone happen to know if polyfil can be laundered? I know I used to wash my littles stuffed animal in a pillowcase … You know that ONE ‘lovey” that they HAVE to sleep with but just got over a virus etc & it needs to be laundered. Thanks in advance. ~ Anita🧶
You have made me an inspired senior citizen of 77 years old. Watching news I saw the devastating flood and deaths and homelessness in Tennessee. My heart breaks for these people and will be making this blanket to send to some one in need in TN. Thank you for your inspiration.
You are an EXCELLENT teacher and demonstrator. I’ve crocheted over 50 years and have never seen a teacher explain and demonstrate stitching into the top of the end stitch. Yes, look for that V … turn your work to see it…. I’m subscribing. :) And by the way, this is a darling pillow blanket.
This design can go in so many directions depending on color and size. There was a pattern years ago similar to this, but instead of poly fil, clean used nylon hose were used. These days used hose are not as readily available, but I suppose other materials such as thin socks would work if you were looking for something to repurpose. This, of course, might make your squares thinner. Thanks for sharing this idea. It will be fun to play with the design.
I mean you can use your hook to do the same exact way that you're sewing. It's hard to explain it but it saves time. It's something I taught myself. Another idea something that might add a design flair is crochet them together but use a cool stitch for an outline? Just thinking out loud. I love the quit you created. It's so clever.
A great idea! I love it. And a good place to get polyfil is to buy cheap pillows and use them. They can be found on sale quite often at WalMart for $5 each. Same stuff you find in the craft stores for a lot less.
Wow!! Im in love with this. Years ago I sewed a puff quilt with fabric which made a gorgeous pram quilt. Here's the crochet version! Why didn't I think of it !! Its pretty, you can use up left over yarn or rework half finished projects. Im starting one today....thankyou for a really clear video. For anyone who might not know this you can slow the video..just tap till you see setting cog thing, you will get options, choose playback speed. It really helps.
Love this blanket you crochet and since it's doggy approved I will have to dust off my lack thereof crochet skills. My grandmother taught me to crochet when I was 11 or 12 years old, sooooo very long ago, so I will try to make her happy as she looks down from heaven and see's me trying your pattern. Wish me luck, I'm gonna need it.😊😀👍🦴
Finally finished my first puff square blanket and am sending a a surprise to my daughter who showed me this pattern on Ig. I was surprised at how stiff and heavy this blanket turned out! Will be an effective, warming comfort item in trying times.
Love this idea, something like a granny square idea. My mind was rolling with different things to do with this method! Thanks for teaching and sharing!!God Bless!
This is amazing!! I have tons of scrap yarn and would love to use it for this. Thank you for a very clear tutorial and for taking your time explaining.
im a complete novice and have been watching tutorial videos and such up until now. watching you deftly handle that yarn was a fun skill im looking forward to having
when I saw picture of this crocheted puff blanket for the first time, ( and every other time there after.) I was just completely smitten. I -must- make it! Thank you for the tutorial
I definitely love this pattern when I finish the blanket. I’m on now. I’m gonna use my scraps and make one of these. Thank you so much for doing this putting it on.
Beautiful work and inspiring. Thinking about recycling pillows that get flat, but washing and drying it first, them use small amounts to fill the squares. Thank you so much for sharing.
This is a great basic project that can be used as a basis for so many things! You can use this as a stash/scrap buster, a temperature blanket, or I’ve got ideas to make this with a different stuffing to make it a weighted blanket! Thank you so much for this pattern!
Thanks for sharing. I had a hard time to find out the right stitch to end up each row. But you were right because after practicing, it was finally easy to recognize. Your voice is soft and it s nice to listen. Thanks a lot. 😊
Very creative and unique! Your instructions are clear and simple. Best design I've seen in a LONG time for using scrap yarn, especially yarns of different weights and makes. Thanks for designing and sharing this!
I just finished a small blanket (10x13 squares) out of scrap yarn I inherited from my grandmother and I love it! My plan now is to make one to cover my full-size bed, mostly blue shades in a chevron pattern. I can't wait! Thank you so much for your wonderful tutorials!
I love this idea. I have a lot of extra Bernat Blanket yarn. I was thinking of making a granny square blanket, but this makes me think I would love to make a granny square quilt from it. I'm thinking of making two granny squares back to back and filling them, then stitching together, then stitching all together. Yes, it will be very warm. I have a granddaughter who gets really cold, so this would be perfect for her.
So many ideas!!! I can see this as either a scrappy blanket or a temp or mood blanket!, also, if you don't want or need the extra weight or squish the squares alone would make a pretty warm blanket since they are double layered! Thank you for such a fun project!!!
Love it. It looks so cute. I definitely need to make one. I also really enjoyed watching this video. I feel very calm now even though I didn't even crochet myself. Very peaceful atmosphere. I didn't even plan to watch the whole video just now but here I am 30 minutes later. 😂 Thank you. For both pattern and video. 💕
