I love this blanket! I saw it on ig and just had to make one. Your idea of making it a scraps blanket actually gave me the idea of using my grandmother’s left behind yarn to make a Mother’s Day gift for my mom. This is her first Mother’s Day without her and I think this would be perfect 💕Especially being that my grandmother is the one who taught me to crochet.

This design can go in so many directions depending on color and size. There was a pattern years ago similar to this, but instead of poly fil, clean used nylon hose were used. These days used hose are not as readily available, but I suppose other materials such as thin socks would work if you were looking for something to repurpose. This, of course, might make your squares thinner.
Thanks for sharing this idea. It will be fun to play with the design.

I mean you can use your hook to do the same exact way that you're sewing. It's hard to explain it but it saves time. It's something I taught myself. Another idea something that might add a design flair is crochet them together but use a cool stitch for an outline? Just thinking out loud. I love the quit you created. It's so clever.

I once bought a wieghted neck tube for a replacement of a water bottle. It was filled with cherry seeds. Warmed the thing up in a microwave. Every once in a while i will soak it in water to put moisture back in the seeds. I dont see why a run thru a washer by its self would hurt the washer provided it wasnt a full size blanket or larger. The seeds holds heat for a long time. Thinking i might try this just not fill the pockets full but partially along with the pillow stuffing. Just a thought im having. I bought that neck warmer at a craft show or home/garden show. Those seeds are germ free too.

Thank you. This is ez enough, excellent to use up scraps of yarn that can’t be used for a full project, cute, different and clever. I like that it can be done in such a variety of patterns too. Thank you so much for the idea!

I love this it looks so cozy 🥰🥰🥰 I have a bunch of yarn scraps and I'm curious if I have enough to make this. Also any scraps too small to make a square could be cut up to use as filling!
