  • A pregnant woman is killed in a horrific yet mysterious speeding accident. The driver states he blacked out, but there is nothing on his medical record to indicate why. A drug deal goes terribly wrong when a sixteen-year-old is crashed into a tree. A bus rolls over the driver, trapping and suffocating him. The mysteries of these crashes are now in the hands of the accident investigators to be solved.
Whether it's driving under the influence, not paying attention or simply a misunderstanding, crashes can occur from any situation. When tragedy does strike it's up to the Accident Investigators to figure out just why the crashes happened.

How exactly is his case different from killing someone while intoxicated? Oh yeah, he has a medical condition. DWI is a medical condition too, the difference is that the person responsible chose to inflict it on him/herself willingly as this guy did by not taking his medications and hiring several physicians to cheat DMV. I don't know if this qualifies as murder or domestic terrorism.

The bus passenger only found guilty of 2nd Degree Manslaughter is an absolute travesty. The guy made a conscious decision to drive at the bus driver so whether he thought the bus driver would simply step aside is immaterial. He deliberately set in motion a chain of events that resulted in a foreseeable death even if that was not his intent. Intent would have made it 1st Deg. Murder but lack of deliberate intent to kill makes it 2nd deg, murder not manslaughter. Negligence creates manslaughter but this wasn't negligence. His 'I'll show you' makes it deliberate and therefore murder. I suspect a plea bargain.

    • @CathyRomanczuk
      @CathyRomanczuk 4 года назад +15

Why would someone stop taking anti-seizure medication? Anti-seizure medicine can have side effects ranging from mild to very severe. The side effects could be blurry vision, headaches, clumsiness, cognitive problems. Problems with thinking, remembering, paying attention or concentrating, finding the right words, or other symptoms - can also be side effects. So, if he was having cognitive problems from the medication, he may not have been thinking logically. Or, he could have just really hated the way the medicine made him feel, always sick to your stomach, always have a headache or blurred vision, not feeling like “himself.” I am in no way defending his actions, but you asked why someone would stop taking anti-seizure medication. I am not in the medical profession, I have two children who have seizure disorder so I know a bit about it.

@@CathyRomanczuk I sympathize with the fact your children suffer from seizures, I grew up with a close neighbor and he had the kind epilepsy that could've chopped his tongue off had his Mom not put a wooden spoon in his mouth. However, this man falsified his medicals record with four doctors and through his actions for not liking "aka accepting the symptoms/medication" killed a woman and her unborn child. So just imagine if he or someone else equally in denial about their condition drove down your street, once again a new doctor and the DMV passing him and killed one or both of your poor children or yourself...Well I'm sure those list of symptoms will explain this lying piece of **** to you and your family. He was a selfish man and should have NOT driven.

Accidents presume that two circumstances arise and at some point they intersect but to be an accident and not misadventure BOTH the circumstances have to be unavoidable. In this case there is an omission that WAS avoidable and that the guy was wilfully refusing to take his medication. Now, he has that choice if he so wishes, BUT, that will and does result in seizures which means he must not drive and he must surrender his licence. He then compounds his guilt by lying about those seizures to both the doctors and driver licensing. That is criminal omission which resulted in the death of and innocent woman and her unborn child. That screams of second degree murder because a criminal act was involved. That arsehole should have been charged with murder not manslaughter and 15 years would not have satisfied me!

Erm, I disagree with the seizure "order" of happenings. First, you feel odd, then you wake up with someone over you. I have been lucky that it has always been a good person. There was no physical twitch anywhere in my "aura" or whatever you choose to call it, just a feeling of something wasn't quite right, and then I would wake up on the floor. Only once did I catch it early enough to try to ask for help, but all I remember is turning to my friend, then waking up on the floor with paramedics over me. I have never had any muscle twitches beforehand. Neither have the other people I have known who had seizures. Everyone is different. I don't believe the people who made this meant to imply there was only one way, but that was still the implication.
I have random muscle twitches from vitamin deficiencies that have nothing to do with the seizures I used to have. My seizures stopped with a medication change, but not everyone finds that sort of relief. I wish it were simple for everyone to get over the worst of what ails them!

That's weird, a lot of my friends don't have auras. I don't have auras, 95% of the time. Once in awhile, the side of my face will twitch seconds to minutes beforehand. Most of time, I'm talking, then I'm in the ER because I'm usually walking and bash my head on the way down, or I'm at work. It definitely varies person to person, it's pretty interesting to hear how they happen for others.
That's great, it's really awesome you found some freedom with a med change! I've had five changes and two surgeries with no luck, but they've dropped to about ten-ish a week, so I have a sort of relief.

All three of these cases were murders, and such little sentences for the murderers -
    1) Someone who knew he shouldn't drive because he had epilepsy and who managed to use four doctors to aid his cheating, so he drives - after 3 previous accidents and kills the lady and her baby. (The one/s who helped him get back his licence should have been sacked as doctor/s. = MURDER
    2) Drug addict, while stealing the drug from the girlk's hand, drove off recklessly and deliberately slammed her between the tree and car. Boyfriend also stupid druggie, apparently. = MURDER
    3) That bastard who had stupidly missed his stop, but had been kindly offered by the bus-driver to drive him back decided to kill the driver, shut the door and deliberately drove over the driver, causing a terrifying death for the poor man. = MURDER

When they allow people with a bad Illness they should make sure that person provides a doctor permission at least twice a year to make sure he actually taking the medicine otherwise what the idea for giving them the permission to drive if not because if the medicine? You must show that you are wearing eye glasses as prescribed but not making sure the person is getting treatment for his illness?

Yes? A pathologist has to remove a victims clothes to properly examine the body and preform an autopsy. Clothes can also, like in this case, be considered evidence. Did you think they leave the clothes on when they cut into a body to examine the internal damage? Like what? 😅 Removing the clothes from dead bodies is quite common practise, you do it to prepare the body and change the clothes for burial or for a wake, to examine the body for forensic reasons or just to determine the cause of death, to store them, and so forth. Bodies are generally stored at morgues without clothes, either wearing just hospital gowns or covered with sheets.

The case involving Christian powers who has epilepsy should have been titled under the law and definition of a HABITUAL TRAFFIC OFFENDER. He commited the actions within a certain time period. Christian has never considered on changing his behavior to create a better outcome KNOWINGLY the outcome of the same behavior will continue to create more crashes that can and will do harm to others. The doctor surfing(wrong reason to doctor surf) shows premeditated harm to drive without taking his diagnosis serioisly and did not care to maintain balance of his ability to have seizures. He should of received more years in jail. He is a fool and so are the doctors who claim to take his word about not having seizures. No blood work was done on a follow up visit to determine if powers is taking his medications and or has the right therapeutic levels. Also the court let him go as well. I can't believe the stories I have watched has no serious consequences when the use of a motor vehicle while impaired, distractions, medical diagnosis, speeding, and premeditated to create crashes for insurance money acts in bodily harm and death of others. Good lord I PRAY that the laws will change for harsher sentences and to be more cautious when a person receives a license to drive who has certain diagnosis and or certain medications. Medical professiomals should be allowed to let the courts and DMV know about these circumstances. Also the DMV should have a right to ask about certain medical data when it pertains to driving.

A woman is speeding, rear-ended another car killing the driver then flees committing a hit and run but only gets 90 days.
Young kid speeds off from a drug deal with the female dealer hanging out the window, hits a tree killing her but doesn't commit a hit and run and gets 2-15 yrs.
Both accidents are intentional and yet the female gets the lesser sentence considerably. Clearly our justice system is broken and biased.

How can it be that overt murders with vehicles, even mass murders, only get a few years in prison? The death penalty should probably be the first thing to consider because they will hardly be prevented from repeating the same crime just because they have been in solitary confinement for a few years and cars can be obtained in many ways and the lack of a driving license hardly prevents anyone from driving and killing/maim!!!
