Plus all the debt that alex left her with she still managed to create so many great things and at the end of the day she was the one who told Alexanders story without telling her own she was the most kind selfless person in the entire musical at the end of the day no one really talks about the best of wives and best of women as much as she deserves to be talked about

It's amazing what Eliza did after Alexander passed, and what she was able to accomplish despite being a women in the 1800's at the time of his passing. Fun fact: the orphanage still stands to this day just under a different name but think of all the children that were given a home because Eliza along with some tiger women founded the orphanage.

Apparently after the duel Burr said "I would have aimed for his heart if it weren't for the morning mist." It was kinda stupid of Hamilton not to aim for Burr because he was the one challenged to the duel so Burr was aiming to kill/injure him. Fun facts about Peggy: She died at age 42. She had three children, only one of which survived to being an adult. Peggy eloped, like Angelica. Alexander was with Peggy when she died, but Eliza wasnt. Peggy had been sick 2 or 3 years before she died. When the Schuyler mansion was under attack, Angelica and Eliza were both pregnant, and fled. Peggy was the only one that remembered the fourth sister and when to get her. She faced off with several Tories. When one stepped in front of her with a musket and demanded to know where her father was, Peggy responded he had gone to alarm the town. The Tories left, so Peggy basically saved all three of her sisters, and I'm guessing some of her brother's, lives. LET'S GO PEGGY.
Edit: It’s been 2 years and I’m still getting replies, wild. Yes, she had a lot of brothers. Also most of this is alleged & yes her name was Margarita or something, Peggy was a nickname. This song still slaps tho

People keep going on about how Eliza spent her entire life trying to share Alexander's story that she didn't get to write her own. Little do you know, Eliza wrote her own story while telling Alexander's.
Think about it, she raised funds for the Washington Monument, she spoke out against slavery, and opened the first private orphanage in New York, she was the living example of kindness and selflessness. So many things that are around today started with Eliza. You can't tell me Eliza didn't write her own story.

That's half true. In telling Alexander's story she tells her own story in parts, too. However, she was never a main character in his story, which means she was never someone discussed to the degree of Washington and such. As a result, we don't even know how she reacted to the scandal. We know she forgave him, but the idea that her initial reaction was to burn all the letters and get angry is just a theory because to this day her letters with Hamilton have not been found. It's theorised that she burnt them, but it has never been confirmed. So we don't know a lot about her, except from the little told about her in relation to Alexander's life and the accounts of others. Her story as an individual was never told like with Hamilton and such. The same goes for Angelica, though a lot is said about her.

This letter, my very dear Eliza, will not be delivered to you, unless I shall first have terminated my earthly career; to begin, as I humbly hope from redeeming grace and divine mercy, a happy immortality.
If it had been possible for me to have avoided the interview, my love for you and my precious children would have been alone a decisive motive. But it was not possible, without sacrifices which would have rendered me unworthy of your esteem. I need not tell you of the pangs I feel, from the idea of quitting you and exposing you to the anguish which I know you would feel. Nor could I dwell on the topic lest it should unman me.
The consolations of Religion, my beloved, can alone support you; and these you have a right to enjoy. Fly to the bosom of your God and be comforted. With my last idea; I shall cherish the sweet hope of meeting you in a better world.

Can we take a minute to appreciate Eliza? She fell for Alex, got heart broken, her son died, her sisters died, her husband died. She still loved him and helped him even after the affair. She told Alex’s story and made an orphanage in memory of Alex. She spoke against slavery, talked with Alex soldiers, and gave funds to DC. As Hamilton says, “Best of wife’s, best of women”

Fact: 211 years later, Eliza Hamilton’s orphanage - now a family services agency called Graham Windham - is still helping kids get their shot. Graham Windham serves thousands of kids and families each year. Just like Eliza’s husband, these kids survived a tough start in life. Graham Windham provides services like family counseling and treatment, after school academic support, health services, and other services that help kids thrive into adulthood.

She went through Alexander going towards war, bearing 8 of his children, went through his affair, started an orphanage, went through her father's, mothers, sisters and sons deaths and still spreads the story of the man who cheated on her. I don't cry a lot, but this musical has grown on me so much. Eliza is the most powerful, inspiring woman I have ever heard of. Her husband cheated on her, told the world, and was forgiven. When he died, she dealt with all the criticism, but she carried on his legacy. She actually did something about his death. She interviewed all of those soldiers to get more stories. She raised money for the Washington Monument. She spoke out against slavery, and actually had views and beliefs to make this world a better place. She opened an orphanage and gave all those children love and care. She had the choice to do all these things, but she's Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton. She's going to do what's right.

It's scary just how well the play, this animatic, just, EVERYTHING about Hamilton portrays how Eliza was, how she lived, because if you think about it, since this is all based upon the real historical figures of America, specifically the story of one of the most prominent founding fathers, and just how his life played out, of course, with some leniency. Now, taking this into fact, just consider how Eliza was in real life, if she was such a sweetheart in the actual play, and was as kind as she was in this play, just imagine how heartbreaking her story really is, she lost everything on the road alongside Alexander, and yet pushed forward, until she was hurt by his own actions, and even then, when she could have let the world forget the actions and the story of her husband, she pushed forward, paying his debts, pushing through her grief with her mothers, husbands and two of her siblings death, continuing to work forward, even getting her old house back after it was sold, and continued to work to publish Alexander's Biography, keeping a sonnet from their earlier years of courtship in a small pouch around her neck. Now, thinking about this, she was such a strong woman, and devoted wife, and she must have loved him more than life itself. Hell, she even sponsored the Washington Monument, AND built the orphanage, all before she died, and so much more. THAT, is what I call love. Alexander Hamilton, man, your wife is non-stop!

Then one day she did the things she talks about in the song. (I'm not sure if it's exactly true because I saw it on another video but I thought it was cool)

Honestly, this is probably one of the best animatics I’ve seen of Hamilton. It really shows that Hamilton wasn’t always a prideful man but also someone who struggled deeply inside with his mistakes. And finally, when he dies, he doesn’t know or doesn’t even think that anybody is left that actually appreciates him. And then, bOOM! Eliza, who he’s done the most terrible stuff to, tells his legacy and let’s him live on instead of “running out of time”. Thank you so much for this!

Fun fact 2: Elizas orphanage is still running, and is now called the Graham Windham orphanage
Eliza was an amazing woman and she did so much with the time that she was given, and she would be so happy that people like Lin-Manuel Miranda keep Alexanders and her story alive, she did amazing things, and was a great woman.

I almost cried, this was so sad. Honestly, Eliza is amazing (she is definitely my most favourited character out of all of the characters. Besides Laurens of course)
Edit: never mind I pressed a time stamp from a comment and I started crying

Is no body going to talk about how deatailed the very beggining is.Angelica and Eliza and all 7 children too (they had eight but one was Philip). I also love how they made everyone but Angelica Hamilton crying. That is such a great detail
